Looks large enough to land my Gulfstream G650. Maybe my next vacation destination!

The worst airport I've ever been to. Very overcrowded, slow with delays, very few spots comparing to the number of passengers. AC doesn't work. 2 hours felt like ages. So happy to be back home.

Small, but easy to orientate (one luggage tray). There are different connections with busses, taxis. There is one cafe, many car rental offices. One ATM machine. They are following safety regulations.

The airport is small, free pickup parking, reasonable prices in a bar. Boarding is fast although number of flights is not huge.

Horrible atmosphere, very crowded place without enough efficient air condition. No place to seat it was very rough waiting for a flight. Sicilia is beautiful island with wonderful people and that's why it deserves for a better airport!

A very small airport in the wild wild west, so it seems. limited English speaking staff so if you do not speak Italian you had better find other passengers to communicate with otherwise you may be stuck. There seems to be a lack of care towards customers. Staff rarely smile and make you feel as if you are giving them a problem when you are only asking simple questions for example.... if the security area is located upstairs. Etc. Useful information there are free public toilets coffee shops and a place to sit down if you want a quick bite to eat. Prices are rather expensive. Anyway to sum up. Cute little airport but service could be better. Hope my review helps other British people out there or anyone else for that matter. 🙂

Very, very small but cozy 👍

my experience this time with Sicily by car from start to finish was excellent ! I had booked a small car and was even given a big car at the same price . The staff was friendly and very efficient . Nothing to complain about 👍

We had a very positive experience with this car rental company during our trip to Sicily at the Trapani Airport. The staff were very polite and very helpful about any inquiry and question. We got a new and clean small car and really enjoyed our time with it! Thank you, Gratzie, and we come back and 100% book the car with your company again!

Good service for a small airport.

Nice local airport around 30 min from Trapani away. Airport has no shops for Souvenirs nor small snacks. Definitely a more calm airport where everything is going a bit slower.

Nice local, and small airport. cheap enough with ryannair. The Pullman is easy to find in front of the airport (only one exit). It cost 5 euro from the airport (birgi) to the city of Trapani Here are the new horary in picture for Sunday and the holidays period .

One & only bar in gates area where You cant pay by card… no ATM in security area. Problem not fresh because they have used sign with information. So it’s impossible to eat here…

Very small airport with fast security checks. The duty free is just way too expensive, they want 26€ for 1L Aperol which is twice the price elsewhere.

Small in size but quick and efficient services including a well stocked cafeteria and last minute shopping following security gate, prior to boarding.

Smooth travel experience...easy to get through security - thanks to super efficient staff. Nice coffee/bakery shop and a decent duty-free is also available. They didn't have air-bridge option...so we had to carry our cabin luggage down 3 flights of stairs, which was a bit taxing...but nevertheless all good facilities.

Small, nothing here. Infinite queues. Flying to the UK is a nightmare, people need to wait in a tiny space, after border control. Only three cubicles in the toilets for the whole airport. As you can see on the picture, people are standing and siting everywhere as there is no space, and there are still plenty to come in, after crossing the passport control. But they have space to put glass displays with 'Fake' rich designers glasses. You should not take so many flights if have no facilities!! Soon we will have to camp here. Sad! Edit: still sitting here and of course horrendous Ryanair is delayed as always. And no information board or anything yo see details of delays!! But they will be first to steal your money, if you have a kilogram or two above their limits! Scandal!!!

Very unclear signage for a tiny airport! Passport checks especially was really badly signed and incredibly slow!

Air conditioner system was not working today. Shopping area sells local food and crafts - that is new since I was in Birgi 10 years ago. Taxi service is disorganised.

Poor service. We reached 3 hours before our international departure. Stood in the front on the queue for 1 hour. The counter did not open for another hour. Everyone traveling to London and other places were stood behind us. When the staff arrived, they asked passengers to other destinations to board first. It was a complete chaos. Pessanger were jumping queue, no order. The staff tells us that UK passangers will board after 10 mins. SHOCKING !! All the headace mismanagement for 10 mins. Trapani Birgi Airport sucks. Lazy and rude staff, they cannot open the counter on time and show attitude as if they are too buzy. Even after 20 mins of wait no one cares until we reminded them that they need to board UK passengers as well.

Don't know if it s in the Best Airports in the World list, but if it is it s probably around the end. Like many small airports, 1 boarding room for all flights, not enough space for everyone , no seat, bad food, bad organization, no information, etc...

Very good experience! Pick up was quick and we got what we paid for. We wanted to extend our rental and everything went smoothly, staff was very helpfull and nice, solved it via phone with no issue. We had check out at 7:30 - opening time - and everything was quick and smooth, didnt have any trouble. :)

I didn't want to write a negative review, but I have to. We booked two cars via Rentalcars from Czech Republic and paid at home with a debit card. When we arrived to Trapani we were told that the deposit and young driver fee can not be paid neither with a debit card nor with cash, only credit cards were accepted. I do understand that the company has it written in its Terms and Conditions, however when we paid it with a debit card there was no extra mention that it could be a problem and mainly that they charged a 185 EUR fee for paying with a debit card! The worst thing is that the woman providing the rental even said that they deal with the same problem among Czech and French people every day. When we wanted to cancel the transaction and the rental for good, because we felt we paid for a service that could not be fulfilled the workers were not able to tell us how much is the cancelation fee and that we have to call their call centre. I call there twice wanting to solve the problem yet nobody answered the phone. Not mentioning that the lady was extreme unwilling to help us with anything. After more than one hour spent dealing with this situation we finally had the car, but there was no windshield washer fluid! We surely do not recommend this company in any case. The company should think more about its customers.

Pretty cool little airport, nice restaurant and a shop inside, free wifi, amazing views on the right side if you take off in the see direction
