👍👍 This Agriturismo is just in the best place of the Sicily we stayed : in the deep vineyards, nights are so quiet and the sky is tremendous ! We had a full week there and we could visit all the West Sicily very happy to go back at night at the place we could call home for a week! Also, food is amazin... People often mention wine, Filippo, amazing, stay, tasting, experience, Tarantola, Sicily, great, Francesco,

Pro tip: use Google Maps to reach the place, Waze and other apps will throw you into some bad roads. The location was great, Filippo offered a great wine tasting with a lot of good stories, laughs and amazing music! And the dinner was very good! Grazie mille for the hospitality!

Filippo and staff are friendly, warm, and treat everyone like family! An authentic experience of rural Sicily! The food, wine, and property are amazing and highlight of our trip! We did 4-course cooking class and served food we prepared for lunch. Then wine tasting with owner/wine maker Filippo And 4-course dinner was delicious. An amazing experience of authentic Sicily!

We had an amazing day on Filipos vineyard. The atmosphere is magical and super relaxed. We felt immediately at home. Our day was accompanied with a cooking class with kitchen chef Francesco and a wine tasting of Filipos organic wines. The Chardonnay Terre Siciliane and the Nero d‘avola will have a place in our heart forever. Looking forward to come back next time when on Sicily ☀️

We have spent Saturday with Filippo and Francesco. We attended an amazing and authentic cooking class with Francesco and Filippo generously shared with us the history of his family, his wine and his music. It was definitely the highlight of our trip and we definitely will be back! The Chardonnay is as special as the place and the atmosphere, Nero D’Avola is strong, balanced and absolutely stunning and Catarratto tastes like the Sicilian sand and sun! Thank you☀️

My husband and I spent one lovely night at Agriturismo Tarantola. We were drawn in by the traditional look of the place. Fillippo and Francesco showed us exceptional hospitality during our stay. They were accommodating towards my gluten free needs. We ate a delicious meal (dinner) - in our opinion, it was the best Sicilian meal of our entire trip. In fact, the food was so delicious that we decided to stay and take a cooking class with Francesco the following day. Francesco was very kind and adapted the entire cooking class to be gluten free (gluten free pasta, pastry, croquettes, meat rolls). The humble, friendly, and hospitible vibe of this place made our experience a 10/10 stay. We would highly recommend Agriturismo Tarantola to anyone wishing to have an authentic and relaxing Sicilian experience.

We stayed for one night with wine tasting and a cookery course booked in the morning. Fantastic. Filippo is a really friendly and charismatic guy with brilliant stories while wine tasting. The place itself is beautiful, a few dirt tracks to get down on the way there so you know you are in the real countryside - just vineyards and beautiful scenery to be had. The place feels very warm and friendly with a gorgeous and placid friendly old dog to welcome you. Francesco the cook is a great guy, can’t do enough for you and his food is amazing, so we were really glad we got to spend a couple of hours in the kitchen with him learning some local dishes - afterwards we sat together with the other 2 guests who took part in the kitchen and drank wine, ate our lunch and chatted outside on the terrace - a really wholesome and great experience. Filippo has a really good thing going on, we all agree it was the favourite part of our holiday! Very clean, quiet, everything you need and a large comfy bed!

We went to this farm only for the lunch but turned out to be more than that. An authentic Sicilian experience. Great food, great wine, nice charming atmosphere. The owner, Filippo and his team are open and warm. I recommend also buying his book, the story of his life, very captivating!

Fantastisk oplevelse.

A magical place, and it was so nice to meet the landlord, Count Testa, and his staff. I recently spent an afternoon at Tarantola with my girlfriend, and we had the best lunch of the holiday: freshly prepared, with love, and with ingredients from the farm. We tasted the white whine; excellent, very refreshing. The view from the top of the hill behind the house is breath taking. Lastly, Count Testa has written a book about Tarantola and how he transformed it into a thriving place - highly recommended. Grazie mille, Louis and Sarah, and please give a hug to the dog and cat from us

On our way to Argiento, we stopped here for wine tasting and lunch. While in the middle of seemingly 'no where', it is beautiful countryside surrounded by mountains , tropical foliage and a lot of different birds! Definitely off the beaten track. The owner and proprietor, Filipo, a count and professionally trained jazz musician, was delightful. We bought his book- The Vine Whisperer. Lunch was delicious. Typical Sicilian antipasto plates (7 of them!) , homemade macaroni and sauce and desert made by one of his pastry chefs, Michaela. All w/ 3 different wines from his vineyards. I highly recommend this unique experience. He also has a bed and breakfast. Everything is organic. Be prepared to MANGIA!!!

My girlfriend and I came across Tarantola at a random travel site so decided to visit crossing Sicily from Palermo to Agrigento. I also brought my parents, so we were 4 in total. The place is not in the middle of the main road, but then again, all the charm would have been gone. We only stayed for lunch, that was served outside among the different beautiful trees and palms. The food and wine was delicoius, simple but yet tasteful and local. One of our best food experiences in Sicily. The owner of the agriturismo welcomed us and shared his stories about the place with us, which we enjoyed. We would love to come back one day and stay for a couple of days, it truly seemed like a blissful oasis with very kind staff/hosts/owners. Again, thank you, and let us know when u are having your music released. Best of luck Carla and Jacob

We found this little Sicilian heaven on various booking sites, but chosed to book directly with Filippo, the owner, via email. Right there from the start, the communication was great, and we easily arranged all the details of the stay. The rooms are nice and simple, air-conditioned and with a nice view over the vineyards surrounding the winery. This is very important to know - it is located in the wineyards, and far from any town or village, which meant that during the night there is a perfect silence - we've slept like babies there - had a perfect rest. If you choose to go to Agriturismo Tarantola (no tarantulas there, don't worry :) ), make sure you also book a wine tasting; it is a winery after all, so would be a mistake to miss it. We had the luck that the wine maker and owner Filippo himself, sat down with us, served us his wines and told us his amazingly interesting life story. The wines are great, but accompanied with these stories and the jokes it was a perfect experience. During the wine tasting, we also went to see how they milk a goat - to see production of milk from which yogurt for our breakfast is made. How cool is that? We also had a dinner at Agriturismo Tarantola, and it was delicious. All home made and full of taste! And Saverio and Desiree, who served it, and helped around everything we needed during our stay, were so lovely, kind and helpful. Truly amazing people! All in all, to conclude, if you choose to stay at Agriturismo Tarantola, you will certainly not be making a mistake. The place, the wines, the food and the people there - truly a peace of heaven on earth!
