While hiking to the top, I wanted to give up several times. But in the end, I got to Monte Monaco and it was worth it! No one sees the efforts, but the process is more interesting than the result!

If you are in San Vito, find some free morning and visit this view point. The path is more or less good and everyone can manage it (with appropriate shoes :) !) The view is totally awesome and it's worth it. So if you want to enjoy something different than just lying on the beach and you want to be at least for a while out of crowded city, go there!

The path is a bit hard to find, especially if you start from the town! But it is worth it. I loved the hike (steep at the beginning) and the view was great! It was also super hot and very sunny the day I walked. Since there is not a lot of shade nor water on the path I suggest to wear a hat and carry water bottles.

although it could be better sign posted, the pathway is wide enough for horses and easy and well worth the hour climb to the summit

It’s worth climbing up, not too hard, views are amazing, there is nothing else to do in san vito.
