I was looking for something sweet because I was having a bout of low sugar. Saw this place while searching for a cafe and thought since it said “Antichi”, it should be good. This was our first day in Trapani and Sicily and we had no idea about prices. Ordered a cappuccino and cannolo. Cappuccino cost €3 and was not only served in a paper cup but it also tasted like it came out of a cheap vending machine. It was self-service. Pay at counter, collect your order and look for a seat outside. After 3 weeks in Sicily, I can say the cannolo was not the best. Also cost €3. So for €6 total, I had a cannolo and the worst cappuccino during my whole trip, served in a paper cup. Cannolo was served on a plastic plate. Many people outside seemed to be enjoying a granita though. 🤷‍♀️

One of the world’s best granite ⭐️⭐️⭐️ We tried the Melograno and Mandorla with panna and a brioche. The attention was amazing too. I totally recommend it!!

A little bit overhyped place. Granita is really good. Cant take anything from that, but overall it became the victim of its own success. As mentioned multiple times in other reviews service could be improved substantially. Portions not that big. Ok to try granita to compare with other places. But that is it. People still flooding to it so I guess it works for all.

Granita - it really is delicious . On site served with whipped cream , to take away without . All made with only natural ingredients For 3,5€ you can mix any two flavors . In my case pistachio and a new flavor of sheep ricotta . Although I am addicted to pistachio 😀 here the sheep ricotta wins ❤️ .

Tourist Trap - beware. There are no menus for a reason. 12€ for 2 cappuccinos and 2 plain croissants. When I asked about the price, at payment, the old woman said we ordered almond milk, hence, the absurd price. In addition, I never waited so long for coffee in Italy in my life - 20+ minutes.

Awful service. The waiting times are biblical, the staff is not helpful and clearly not organised. This is a place where I used to go years ago, I decided to take my kids who were visiting Sicily. After 40 minutes waiting at the table, we left without even ordering. Other customers were served immediately. Big disappointment, they don't deserve this historical name...

Horrible! This place is a tourist trap and totally overrated. Whoever gives 5 stars to this place has no clue what good pastries taste like. Really bad food and the service is not any better either. Spend your money elsewhere.

Absolutely to be avoided. 8 euros for a granita with brioche and unfriendly staff. You cannot pay by card, although there is pos. There are many many many better places. Don’t go there

One of the tastiest granita in Sicily! Superb!

Very traditional place. Since 1885 they are doing delicious cannoli and others local pastries. They also have some homemade liquors made by them. Da non perdere! Do not miss it!

The best pasticceria in Trapani. We went there every day during our 5-day trip and we enjoyed it a lot. There is a nice choice of different pastry, cannoli and martorana (marzipan fruit) are literally to die for. Coffee is good too. We can say it’s a very authentic and “true” place to feel the trapanese atmosphere. Also people who are working there are attentive and kind (helped us a lot with our issue). There might be a lot of pastries in the region, but this one is a must visit for quietly enjoying the breakfast or pastry snack.

Amazing pastry, and coffee at a cheap price. They also gave me some granita free since they insisted it was the best ever, and it really was. Highly recommend to anyone in Trapani for authentic local deserts.

Probably the best cannolo I ever had. However, the person running is very "informal" about it, and hence can come off as a bit rude (if I hadn't been accustomed to South Italian elders, I would definitely have been offended).

Despite the fact that I am trying to avoid giving bad reviews, this one might be on point. My daughter's gelato had gone bad, like vomit-aftertaste bad, not to much surprise or distress to the lady of house. The cappucino was served in huge cups, the kind you might expect at (non-italian) gas stations. The establishment does not live up to its old reputation, and should be avoided as is today.

It is a small, family business, really cute if what you’re looking for is a unique vintage Sicilian bar. Wide variety of food, from arancine to delicious Sicilian pastries. The granita and brioche are good, especially gelsi (blackberries), mandorla (almond) and gelsomino (jasmine), which are the most typical local flavors. I think the brioche is bought and not made in their bakery. Staff very friendly and service super quick. You might happen to wait in the cue for a seat because there are very few tables, but this is part of the Sicilian experience.

Amazing granita and cannoli piped by hand in the shop. Highly recommend pistacchio or mandorla with caffè and whipped cream.

The best granita there is, family owned for generations. A MUST to visit when in Sicily. The flavor is unparalleled, they only use fresh RIPE fruit and when in season! Try the fig (complex flavor) , or the jasmine (the scent!) , the lemon (classic for hot days). But the other flavors are outsanding!

Simply an amazing choice of granitas (after tasting more than 20 around Sicily, my top choice): tasty, creamy, with or without whipped cream or brioche bread… you always go for a second (or third) one :)

Owner kind and mannerly, staff slightly rude and instead of real coffee serve a type of instant coffee! Not what you want with their lovely granite! That being said the quality of Granite I'd excellent and that's what we came for so 3 stars instead of 2.

We were in two and took a brioche with ice cream, an almond granita and a coffee. The brioche with ice cream was ok, even if the stracciatella had not the typical chocolate pieces. The almond granita was atypical. That is, it was less creamy and with more ice pieces. Not the real granita. I have been here because I read a good review online. Honestly, I would not recommend it.

This is a must if you are in Trapani, taste the cannolo, the pastries and the slush - all of them really amazing, though pomegranate slush takes the spot!

Great granita, especially the pomegranate flavour.

Gorgeous, family-run business. I had a DELISH peanut and chocolate ice cream in a cone. Would recommend. Perfect after dinner treat.

The pastry was awful and they refused to let us pay by card.

  • 3/5 Matthias S. 3 years ago on Google
Good but small granita. Friendliness of the staff is random.

Family run store with traditional deco and the best granita in trapani. Great brioche and cannoli too

  • 1/5 Mc A. 2 years ago on Google
The Granita was not good, 1) there is no all the products on the ad 2) the product was liquid after 2 minutes and not tasty at all, just sugar and water ( for at least almond, cherry, mango) . The personal was not welcoming, the organisation of the queue was a KO. The woman was crying telling people to get out after 5 minutes they were inside already, and ask them to organise a queue themselves... Finally, we couldn't pay by card because of some product for no reason ...
