Ci torno regolarmente e mi incanto davanti a tutti i frutti in particolare pere e mele. Leggo recensioni contrastanti che vorrebbero animazione... Per cortesia andate in discoteca.

Here we are at the review of a museum that already makes its unusualness a characteristic. If we add the fact that the above can be thought of as being of little interest to most (including myself, who was skeptical about the chance of feeling a certain involvement revived within me), we understand how low the expectations could be upon entry. . Here, this was instead the case where stating "if you haven't tried it, you can't know if you like it or not" makes sense (as opposed to the one in which you want to induce someone to taste a dish that already only appearance or smell is unpleasant to such a spur). The museum, with furnishings made up of dark wooden cabinets (many with glass to partly make up the doors), mostly large in size, which contain reproductions (complete with realistic weight displayed) of apples, pears, plums, grapes, cherries and other fruit (typical of the country, but not only), as well as mushrooms, tubers and vegetables, takes us back in time through the imaginary period which differs from today by up to two centuries, made up of failures and successes (which we still record today) in search of an increasingly palatable and abundant production. The author of these three-dimensional works, I dare say <<perfect>>, a bit like those modeled with almond paste found on the counters of pastry shops in the largest southern island, is the modeller Francesco Garnier Valletti, esteemed even in Russia, court of Tsar Nicholas I Romanov. It seems like we are in the 19th century (or even in the 20th century, perhaps in the first half), among small pictures that reflect typical problems of conservation of a product of the earth, meters of various shapes and sizes, stills and updates concerning agronomic material in the form of books and specialist booklets. Another note goes to the masks protecting against fertilizers and other chemical substances used on the land, masks which have clearly made their history, but which cannot help but make us wonder if they were capable of protecting the spreading technicians. There is ancient knowledge of the primary sector in here that is worth absorbing with a visit of at least half an hour, which I certainly recommend.

Ci tornerei.

One of three... somewhat strange... museums in one building (shared reduced entry. You can see around 1000 very exact plastic replicas of fruit and vegetables plus a laboratory. Not very big and, as I said, in addition to the (historical) scientific reference... strange . Labeling only in Italian. Not an extra visit, but an extra for owners of one of the various city/museum cards in Turin (definitely worth it there!)

This museum, which displays models made as teaching materials, is located within the university building. I discovered this museum by chance while walking, and I thought I had never seen anything like it before. It may have been in poor condition, but since it was all handmade, I was impressed by how it looked like the real thing. There was also a display of molds, which was very helpful. If possible, I would like the explanation video to be easier to understand. I wanted to understand more.

A very surprising museum A visit as curious as it is unexpected. It's very interesting to discover all this and it concerns us all since we all eat fruits and vegetables

(Translated by Google) This museum is a small jewel, where fruits made with the wax of an impressive reality are preserved. The visit does not take much time and deserves to be done together with the adjacent museums of "Lombroso" and FI anatomia, also in the university buildings.

Interesting and particular small museum in the headquarters of the agricultural faculty. The fruit reproductions are incredibly similar to the real thing. The caretaker, very kind, described all the details.

A unique museum in the world. Inside you can find a very important collection of artificial fruit. I discovered that there are different types of apples, pears... the best thing is to be able to visit museums with just one ticket 😊

For a person that doesn’t speak Italian, the only thing you could understand is that somebody was reaaaaally into fruits at some point and decided to mold varieties of apples. There is no information displayed in English. Overall it is not worth the time.

Una piccola chicca, nel cuore di Torino! A me è piaciuto davvero tanto.

(Translated by Google) Nice surprise, very pleasant! A small, very recent museum, inaugurated in 2007. The rooms are full of antique wooden furniture, the showcases full of models of plastic artificial fruits, more than a thousand pieces of apples, pears, plums, peaches, cherries, etc. - created and modeled in a highly artistic way by Francesco Garnier Valletti - at his time a well-known artisan - pastry chef and scientist. You want to bite into them, they seem so real! (Original) Bella sorpresa, molto piacevole!

One of the most wonderful museums ever. The neat rows of its fruit collection make a real visual pleasure together with a blessing feeling of a perfect order, while the multimedia part is ideally balanced, mutually supporting the bright rows of fruits on the shelves.
