Madonie Mountains presents one of the most suggestive landscapes in Sicily, a small geological world that must be seen and enjoyed unhurriedly. It is also one of the famous mountain eco-systems of the Mediterranean Basin due to the rich diversity of fauna and the considerable interest in its vegetation. The massif of Pizzo Carbonara (a huge block of limestone rock) stands as highest altitude of this range (1979 m) and the second highest of the island, after Muncibeḍḍu (3344m). I really liked this area, not too crowded and bordered by very picturesque villages (Castelbuono, Collesano, Isnello etc.)

Here you will find the Sicily you do not expect, pristine forests covers high mountains spotted with a bunch of lovely medieval villages. Boars, foxes, porcupines, and several specimens of birds call this area home. Of course all of this just a few km away from the postcard beaches surrounding Cefalù and Finale. Do not miss it!

Impressive mountain range with gorgeous views. The atmosphere in this park is very special and gives you the feeling of being in a different world. Small mountain villages in the most stunning scenery imaginable. Great for exploring by car!

Utterly stunning! Beautiful views that will take your breath away- especially if you're hiking! Best seen walking pedaling or on a quad! Visit the nearby villages for coffee and a rest , take in the peace and tranquility!

Must see. Must do. This was one of my favorite parts of Sicily. Drive through winding mountains and see some incredible views and landscapes. You'll find small towns built into this valleys and trees that are 700 years old (Piano Zucci). I loved driving here and would do it over and over. You can do this alone with Cefalu together and see both the country mountains and the water.

Great place to go for a hike, a bit colder than seaside. Really enjoyed. Trail from Rifugio Francesco Crispi is nice with kids. Stunning view and easy.

I drove through the Madonie Park with my Sport Tourer motorbike and it was a great experience riding through this magnificent place. The Bents and turns, known better to us Bikers "twistees" was such a great experience. Following this trip I travelled to Termini Imerese where there is a car museum displaying the cars which took part in the race course once active, in Madonie Park.

Very nice hiking - much cooler than at sea level in mid-September.

Unbelievable place, definitely the best part of Sicily with mountains, forests and exquisite villages and towns. This is the Sicily tourists would want to visit.

Beautiful hike and vistas. We encountered a bit of snow in April. Without snowshoes, this slowed our progress but not our enjoyment. We went up about 2.5 miles from Piano Battaglia. The trail is relatively well marked except when covered by snow. The path is rocky and fairly steep.

👍👍 We visited in April. It is my 4th rope park experience, and by far the best! Staff was very nice and patient (even though English a challenge), the place is well maintained and most importantly, the rope tracks are varied and provide great fun. Kids ages: 16, 12, 9, 45 😜. Everybody enjoyed it great...

👍 Immersi nel verde di una natura meravigliosa che anche nelle giornate più calde regala frescura, pace e relax, il posto ideale per scappare dalle affollate spiagge e dalla calura cittadina.
