Outrageous. We got stuck in traffic due to a car accident which made us 30 minutes late for the check-in. Said check-in was only possible between 15:00-17.00 and when I turned my phone back on (at 17.15) I had 12 missed calls from the property and messages saying we could not check-in anymore because of our tardiness. They forbid us to check-in for our 2 nights stay because we were 30 minutes late… because of a car accident! When I called them back, they told me I should contact booking.com to ask them for the procedure to follow because they would not let us in. We then had to find a hotel last minute which cost us a lot and ruined the end of our tour in Sicily. The owners did not even offer us the possibility to check in the next day for the second night and did not offer any kind of refund.

This hotel is a must! Massive rooms gorgeously decorated, quiet but centrally located, very clean, and Rosanna was an absolute angel and made sure we were completely taken care of during our stay. Worth it to get the breakfast- the food is great and the view from the top floor terrazza was so amazing, looking on to the beautiful domed church. And finally, she and her mom made us massive coffees and fresh cannoli every morning! Simply a dream.
