One of the worst gyms I have ever been to professionally. The staff is HORRIBLE. My family attended this gym for 3 months as my husband was a personal trainer there. As soon as he decided to take his talent and skill to pursue another profession, which was not (personal training) he was ostracized then harassed at the gym, by staff members for working out with a friend. Moreover, my 2-year-old child was attending the childcare program there during this incident and was held hostage within the facility until law enforcement arrived. The gym wouldn't allow my husband to take our 2-year-old out of the facility as he was being escorted out. As a mother this highly upsets me as no one has a right to keep my child from my spouse and I and it concerns me because how could you kick a parent out and not allow them to take their child with them. As a parent, I feel the safety of my child was compromised as we had no way of knowing how our child was doing within the facility. This gym has a lot of ethical dilemmas that need to be addressed and hopefully a fresh staff. Not only did this happen, but the gym revoked all our membership and would not refund us our money back. I am sharing our story because as a service member who proudly serves this country it saddens me that my family was treated this way. I hope to raise awareness of the injustice and unethical standards that this gym has is unacceptable in this community.

It's a nice gym, but they do a few things that I would call is anti-customer. They make you give 5 references on signing up and spam those people on a monthly basis to join the gym. Month to Month membership requires a 3 month in advance notice to cancel. If you cancel right after your bill date they still charge you for another month. They charge the month to month a 50 dollar gym maintenance fee in addition to the expensive membership. All these nuances of the gym were communicated during the signing of the contract, not before. Definitely don't recommend signing up for this gym unless they change this practice.

This company is insane!!! instead of paying their cleaning company out of their account someone created a process to charge every customer and additional monthly fee for one month which for me was 120 dollars for the month. Let’s remind you I wipe down equipment too shouldn’t I get paid ! This was never explained or clarified to me when signing up. Pay the cleaning company out of your account next time and not mine Scott !!lastly I I’ll politely be sure to let everyone know that in order to cancel a gym membership they will need over $1200 its a freaking gym for gods sake not a apartment complex or car lot . I understand Health is wealth but y’all can go to hell. Any promotion is a scam stay away !

If I could give this gym zero stars i would. Every other gym has been allowing members to cancel their membership because of Covid but this gym will not let me & only cares about the money. The customer service is incredible terrible, very rude. I will not recommend this gym to anybody ever.

We’re military and were told we would be able to cancel membership with orders- no problem. We were able to do so, but not without being charged after being told we would be able to cancel without any fee. Facility is nice but over-crowded. Once I was signed up I was contacted multiple times and encouraged to sign up… which I had already done. Overall not a good experience. Unorganized. Hard to get out of contract and dishonest business practices.

Horrible customer service! Everyone keeps sending me to the next person to cancel my membership. I called months ago to cancel my membership, I was basically told it wouldn’t be canceled because they have to pay their employees during COVID. Well that’s not my problem. Now my contract auto renewed today. No one is willing to give me a refund and cancel the membership. I wouldn’t recommend going here AT ALL.

Great facilities, but the staff in my experience has not been great and some of the front desk workers are pretty rude. I’ve had multiple instances where I’ve called and asked on the phone if I could bring a guest in, and the guy says yes, then when I get their this one lady in particular says I can’t bring a guest in I’m like can I talk to whoever I was on the phone with and she is so rude and just says no and won’t even let me workout for that day and makes me and my friend drive all the way home. Then I’ve had another instance where I was going with my stepbrother who’s 14 and I’ve taken him before and it’s been fine but for some reason this one lady won’t let me workout, the customer service is just terrible and theirs no reasoning with them .

I agree with other reviews on here. The is a very nice, large, with a great variety of equipment. My concern is the hygiene standard in the locker room area. I've mention it to a couple of worker briefly, but I haven't notice any difference. Lately, I've started noticing there is a lack with the cleanliness. High traffic areas in the locker rooms is been below standard lately, I've notice dust accumulating in the locker area, sauna floors dirty and mold build up in the shower tiles, I have tried multiple showers and they all either have mold, water drain clogged, dirty urinal, dirty counter tops or broken soap dispensers. It seems like someone stopped caring for the bathrooms/ locker room and they are not priority. When they should, since members are paying a pretty pricey fee for the same or less amenities that other gyms provide for less. Also, the time we are facing trying to get past this pandemic they should try to raise their standards in an area with very high traffic/ close proximity to each other. I hope the address soon this HUGE concern.

The manager-Paul-is completely unprofessional. He implied a yearly membership yet forcing a 3 year. They also decide to not check a box in which makes your contract auto renew. If you think you’re safe at this gym you’re not; wait until the gym auto renews when your contract “ends.” This business needs to be shut down and a class action suit needs to ensue.

Edit. This place stayed open during carina virus. They continued to charge me for my membership. Evans fitness clu and the people still going are a puplic health hazard. Thwy will not let you suspend your membership. Not only that they payment portal does. It let you removed methods of payment without writing an email to the payment management company in Utah. This place is beyone morally bankrupt Would give zero out of five stars if it was an option my review below was before and still stands regarding their facilities... I can't speak to the negative reviews regarding membership cancelation problems. The gym is beautiful, reminiscent of globo gym from dodge ball minus the pretentiousness. They have all the equipment you could ever want and enough of the high traffic machines do you don't wait all the time. My gf and I pay 60 a month for both of us and that's for full access to all classes and everything. Great value and service so far.

Was informed that military members could cancel their contract once new orders put them in a new duty station. I got orders that took me away from FT Gordon. I did the whole email my orders to a third party to make it difficult routine, but I am still getting charges 3 months later. Gym has all the equiptment and weights you need, but the administration is ridiculous and you need to jump through hoops to cancel your account.

My husband was a big fan of this place when he had a membership years ago, so we went for a tour and to get membership information after looking online and being bombarded by marketing text messages from three different phone numbers weeks later. It has had renovations and modifications done to the layout, offers lots of classes, and even has a daycare! While everything offered seemed nice, the cost of a membership was just not justifiable at this time.

Augusta, do not go to this gym. The majority of the staff are unprofessional, careless, and willingly misleading. There is one man in particular, Paul, who lures people into contracts with false offers such as “10 days free to try the gym!” or “Don’t worry you can cancel at anytime!” He and other staff will also try to persuade you in every which way. Please again, do not go to this unprofessional and greedy establishment. They will not show you a contract before signing and will also make your contract significantly longer than verbally stated. The process to cancel within the 7 days given in the contract was a tiresome procedure. I guarantee it will be nearly impossible to escape a contract that has been effective for some time. These people will do anything to get innocent people to sign a deceptive contract. I am sorry for those who have been stuck in a contract with these pieces of scum. Again, please avoid this gym at all costs.

Something beautiful that turned horribly wrong My sister and I purchased the week pass. Ryan was very warming to us.. explaining that we had access to everything during the duration of pass. Told us that the gym closes at midnight Monday to Thursday and at 10pm Friday to Sunday. Imagine our surprise when a young girl at reception told us that we were not able to exercise on Thursday after 10 pm because we were not members!!! No one, not even Ryan, told us anything. I am a business owner myself, the customer care is to me my priority. I called Ryan the next morning to make my complaint, telling him I drove 40 mn for nothing when gas is so expensive now … and would like a day extra to replace the day we were unable to train and an additional day for the time and gas we lost … he said that he could only give us the day extra when we were sent back not more. So now they lost me as a potential client. My goal was to enrol and pay the whole year up front. What a shame! I’ll bring my money elsewhere where it is valued. All the internal regulations between members and guest is confusing to potential clients and give a very bad image to the facility. Management needs to revise their policy quickly to avoid any future misunderstandings. I give 1 star because I could not give zero.

This is the better of all the gyms in the area. Just beware that the equipment is going down hill and the locker rooms are trashed or stink most of the time. The mens at least... a lot of the lockers are broken or have stains and smell bad. The urinals have urine and the same pubes there on the floor for days in between mopping, and the music is too loud in there most the time. They recently did an upgrade on the equipment and put in a new series of lifting racks that are nice but I always find major structural nuts and bolts loose or on the floor as well as most of the other machines in the building. Its nice going here because the people are serious but friendly and nice at the same time. Just bring a pair of channel locks and some grease to tighten the machines you want to use.

EFC is extremely unethical in their business practices. While signing up, I was told that I had to refer multiple other people through the app or my app wouldn't work. This was in fact a lie. The bathroom sinks are always out of soap, which is extremely unhealthy especially during these times of COVID. The scale in the men's bathroom hasn't worked in months. If I'm paying top dollar for a gym, I expect fully functioning equipment. There aren't enough bar clamps so I am forced to lift heavy weight, putting myself at risk due to their failure to supply enough a cheap and readily available piece of equipment. Like get on Amazon and you can have them in 2 days... I was stationed here previously, and was unable to cancel my membership without paying extra fees even though I was moving due to new orders. So add anti-military to their standards of conduct. For a high-class gym, you'd think they could afford to pave the rest of their parking lot. Walking through gravel and mud when its raining or has rained, getting my workout shoes wet and muddy before going into workout further puts myself at a risk from a safety standpoint. The staff doesn't enforce or encourage other members to put their weights back. I love tripping over weights moving around that overcrowded and crammed in building. Lastly, while bringing a guest, they had to answers tons of questions and it took us an extra 15-20 minutes before we could work out. Ridiculous. Don't support this business, they are many other gyms for the same price or cheaper and they will provide you with better equipment and better care. Also, add to the fact that the owner or staff never respond to any reviews shows that they couldn't care less what anyone thinks and just want your money. terrible business practice.

I signed up for a family membership so my wife and I could work out and have childcare for our 4 kids, we were misinformed of the availability of child care and have been trying to cancel my membership, no one has been willing to help me only directing me to send an email which I am not getting a response back from. It’s got good facilities but be VERY careful before signing up

It's a good gym with great staff, but there are some serious flaws. If you plan to workout between 8am to 1pm or 430pm to 6pm, forget it. Every machine is taken, every bench is taken, and people are literally waiting in lines to get a spot. If you are worried about the pandemic, then this is not the place to be as during those hours it is shoulder to shoulder. They sell much too many memberships and the gym simply can't accommodate that many people. Also, they have been slowly reducing the hours it is open. It used to be 247, but now it closes early and opens late. It's also worth mentioning that their coffee machine has been broken for 5 years, and has had the same "we'll fix it soon" sign on it. That being said, if you go at the right hours it is a great space, and the staff and members are awesome.

DO NOT DO IT. Evans Fitness Club is a SCAM. The manager Paul signed me to a 2 year gym contract without saying a word about the contents. According to my friend, the same thing has happened to him where he was lied to about the contract. This is not okay under any circumstances. I repeat, DO NOT GO TO EFC. You will regret it

This gym is a scam it was a amazing gym when I first started now they close the sauna early and you can only use the massage chair once a day but when I signed up I was told unlimited. The payment systems and contracts are designed to be confusing and lock you in, place is only worth it if you had a 30 day free pass and came during the day

I love the facility, it is truly one of a kind. I am giving three stars though due to their unwillingness to cancel my membership due to the length of my commute to work. I was told when I joined that I could cancel if I moved outside of 25 miles from the gym. I just got a new job that is a 58 mile commute one way from my house (which is another 16 miles north of the gym). I will be working 12 hour days and it is just not feasible to drive to the gym, turn around and drive to work then drive home. That’s 148 miles a day! Absolutely ridiculous that I have to keep this membership and I literally CANNOT use the facility due to the length of my commute.

The is a very nice, large, aesthetically pleasing gym with a great variety of equipment at your disposal for your fitness needs. I am taking away three stars because it has been made clear since I've started coming to the gym there is a problem with maintenance. The cleanliness of high traffic areas in the locker rooms is always sub standard, there is consistently a pool of urine below the urinals, every day I come here there is. The bathrooms are generally unkept. Not to mention they can't even tighten screws on the decline benches just to keep them from falling apart (I'm sure that will happen eventually). I would say this is one of the nicer gyms here but this gym has issues that need resolving

The gym can become alittle busy at times but the membership fees are crazy. To charge full price during the covid peak when nobody could go out to the gym was just outrageous and a equipment fee. That's just poor business. Then to operate after it was ok to return back to the gym with no new equipment and still charging fees the same as if nothing has changed over a year ago.

All service members beware I have never had so much difficulty trying to cancel membership due to PCSing. Was originally told all I would have to do was bring in my orders when moving to cancel when the time came they gave us the biggest run around refused to do if we stopped getting charged but really they just decided to send bills to collection agency Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with

If I could give them a 0, I would! They use peak payment solutions to collect payments, and that third-party company is a scam! They will charge you even after you have canceled your membership. If you don’t want to lose hundreds of dollars, do not go here! Take your money elsewhere where it can be appropriately handled and not misused and taken because of the payment services they use!

This gym is amazing!! I enrolled in February with a goal to lose 100lbs and I managed to lose 60 before having to move across country!! I easily attended every day for 180 days! There is so much you offer!! They have over 30 super fun classes and all the equipment you could imagine! The other members are very encouraging and kind and the staff can't be beat!! They are knowledgeable and will help you! Oh, and for the price?!🤯 SUPER AFFORDABLE!! Keep up the great work! The family friendly atmosphere really puts even the most shy and nervous exerciser at ease!! I was nervous at first but Ryan (Flint) and Austin made sure that my progress was seen and acknowledged. That really made me aware that I wasn't just a number and people weren't just seeing my body image as poor, but as a work in progress. Everyone starts somewhere and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and proud. I made friends I'll never forget and learned that a better version of me is possible!! So I encourage you to use this gym even if just for a day pass!! And make sure to at least stop and get a super motivational hype from Ryan (Flint)!! Keep up the great work! It was a total honor to be a member. I'll miss this gym and I know I'll never find another one to compare! Thank you EFC!!! <3

This place is a complete scam!! I am disabled and wanted to check this gym out, they were eager to tell me anything to get me to sign this contract which traps you into paying them even if you can’t go! They are adding 300 worth of fees before I can even deactivate this account i only used once! Don’t get shammed by this predatory business! Staff is generally very rude and will lie to get you to sign this contact!

TO be honest, it is 100% not worth the amount of money you have to pay each month. It's incredibly expensive for a gym that in my experience, has peeling handles, broken down machines, and is consistently busy if you go anytime after 3pm. All gyms are busy as this time, however the classes begin in the evenings, which due to recent renovations doesn't allow for regular gym goers to use 70% of the workout space/equipment. My best advice would be look at other gyms before this one, or go do a tour during 5pm. If you prefer working out by yourself and not in a class this gym is not for you.

I love Evans fitness! I’ve been there since they were the Evans fitness Express however when I renewed my membership recently I was told by Evans fitness that I get one free blood work at center for modern aging. When I went to modern aging the lady with the accent was very rude and refused to honor the free blood work and told me I needed to pay so I came back weeks later to pay and she refused to let me pay for the bloodwork. Thanks for letting me share.

When choosing a gym the kid care played a huge role as a mother of four young kids. The kid care at the EFC is exceptional. They get to know your kids and treat them so well. I’ve always been so impressed with all the employees who take care of my children. I also love the group classes. They’ve got a great variety and honestly get me to the gym. Very pleased with the EFC!

During this pandemic they have taken our life's and health and put it first. Well maintained gym. Equipment is always in great working order. The personal trainers will even stop to assist anyone they feel may be doing something wrong as they are working out. I recommend EFC to anyone with kids, or looking for somewhere that no matter your fitness level you are welcomed by every employee and clients.

I love this gym! Two floors with plenty of equipment, plenty of group classes to choose from, sauna, clean locker room and showers with a break room. Hydro massage chairs are amazing! Everyone has been helpful and they always greet like they’ve known you for years. There’s childcare for babies and a big kid zone with a bouncy house. Parents night out for $5 a kid. Birthday parties are an option here as well. Membership is extremely affordable compared to other facilities especially with a family plan and all the amenities included. The trainers are very friendly and knowledgeable. I’m so glad we found this place.

Evans Fitness Club has everything I need for a workout. It has great fitness classes like Zumba, Body Step, Compat, Flow and Pump. I love the instructors!!! For anyone who likes Bodystep Classes, you must try Megan Arrington’s class. She pushes you to the limit and makes it burn! You walk out feeling exhausted but amazing. She won’t let you quit no matter how hard it gets and motivates you to do the best YOU can do. The time flies by and the energy level is high the whole time so it keeps you moving. I would recommend her class to anyone who likes high impact class!!

EFC is a great facility, but if you want to cancel your membership they make it very difficult. Easy to sign up, easy to pay...but to quit totally different customer service. You can do all the above at the gym, but to quit they will quickly tell you we can do that you have to go through a third party called Peak. Horrible. I have been trying to quit for over a month. Peak is nonresponsive and the gym doesn't care...not our problem.

Definitely one of nicest facilities I have been to. I loved the environment. The building was brilliantly organized, clean, and had a great flow to it. The locker rooms are very nice. I was particularly interested in the sauna and it did not disappoint. Spacious enough for 5+ people at a time. The showers were nice with the overhead, waterfall style and jets on the wall to help direct the water where you needed it. I couldn't ask for anything else in a gym.

My family and I have been going to EFC ever since they opened! We love this place and the friendly staff and positive atmosphere of working out here has really been the main reason our family always comes back to this gym. I recently left for medical school, but due to Covid-19, my entire semester is now remote and I moved back home to Evans for the time being. Mr. Paul was super friendly when helping me re-open my membership. He explained to me all the new updates/policies that were happening at the gym since I was away and set me up with a training orientation with one of the staff members. Scott was my trainer and he was very down-to-earth and willing to help me on improving my workouts. I realized through our sessions that I had been working out totally wrong (too much emphasis on cardio- while I was actually try to build muscle), and he helped give me suggestions on what to change and a beginner workout schedule. Since re-opening my membership, I've been to the gym almost every other day! Definitely glad to be back home.

The young lady at the front desk said she was new, but we found her to be very polite, friendly, professional, and quite helpful! Highly recommend Evans Fitness Center!

  • 4/5 Cameron H. 3 years ago on Google
Overall it is a nice facility with plenty of equipment and classes to choose from. Even during peak hours I’m still able to find and use the equipment I would like. They have people constantly going around wiping and cleaning the equipment. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. The only complaint is that the locker rooms could use an update/renovation.

While we were allowed to go to this gym pre pandemic things were great. We were told upfront we could cancel our contract should we get new orders, because we knew we were going to. When we tried to cancel in person due to having military orders, we were sent to a third party, and turned away. In other words, we had to send our military orders (a sensitive document) to a third party via email, which is a very unsecure way of communicating. So now we have moved from the state and are still being billed. Very frustrating that this wasn’t taken care of the first time we came in.

I have been a member of EFC since they opened. It is a nice enough gym (although not the cleanest). However, I most recently prepaid for an 18 month membership and was assured that if I were to relocate for my job, I would be provided a prorated refund. I have recently moved to another city and EFC now refuses to honor the refund that I was promised when I signed up. This is sleazy business practice and their sales tactics are overly aggressive and sleazy as well. They also require references when you sign up, who they will call and harass on a daily basis.

I've been a member of EFC since its opening and sadly I have seen it go down hill, especially since Covid. Taped down carpet, men's locker room - filthy, dirty, clogged shower drains, steam room broken - again, handicap shower out of order. Towel service suspended!

EFC is well-designed and spacious. The gym's Staff is awesome! Extremely clean gym. I really like the Covid 19 measures in place. Gym staff consistently cleaning the equipment after patron use. Entire Facility is always clean! Thanks EFC!!!

Good equipment but usually really packed so people like to put their luggage carry on to hold equipment in between sets and disappear for ten minutes at a time. Or do a set then text for 30 minutes while sitting on the equipment. Best to go at non peak hours.

It was my first time back since August 2021. That I've noticed, the staff is mostly the same as far as customer service is concerned...Courteous, Polite, and Helpful. However, the condition of the Men's locker room does need work. I saw a faucet/sink out of order. It was decently maintained. I wouldn't penalize them for that because they are going through a staff shortage too. Overall, still a great gym to be at.

Probably the best choice I could have made to invest in my health and wellness journey. Just PCS here, we are a military family. Love the staff is interested in what I want out of a gym. The fact that they offer childcare Is a HUGE win! My daughter looks forward to going to the gym and is actually begging me to go. Good accountability partner. Stoked they’re opening up another location closer to base. I’m hoping it balances out the flow after hours. Love that they have a smoothie king as well as for us that are over 35 (free assessment on our body) what are you waiting for!??? Invest and you will not regret joining

After my accident, I didn’t think I’d be able to workout again. They have personal trainers that have been working with me who know about sciatic issues. Plus being able to have everything in one place for my yoga class as well is a huge plus! Will have kids living with me soon so knowing I can drop them off at the kids center makes life even simpler.

  • 5/5 Janette M. 1 year ago on Google
A gym for those pumped to work out. It us a great vibe and honestly not too crazy pricing, if you sign up for a contract. My kids love the bouncy house in the childwatch area. Sauna is included. I feel like working out when I come here.

This is a beautiful facility but ever since COVID the excuses live on and the hours have changed regardless of the membership fees rising. I signed up for a contract that was 24/7 and stuck with them through COVID to support small business and now it is 4am-10pm and crowed. Plus the app sign up feature for classes is no longer available “due to COVID” even though I can walk in for classes and no one takes my temp so it’s an excuses. With the area growing like it is the gym needs to move back to the 24hr operation it once was. The staff at the front desk is also never any help and will direct you to management who are never there.

Clean, modern facility, great class offerings, courteous staff, kind management. People come here to work out and everyone is focused on themselves. No judgemental vibes from any of the gym goers. This gym could compete with some of the nicest gyms in LA or Miami hands down. Childcare offering is an amazing bonus. The pricing is affordable and payment terms are clear and agreeable. They offer monthly or annual payment options. They can be quite busy at times but are expanding so I believe that will help relieve crowds from the Evans location. Overall 10/10 experience so far.

This is a great gym. Or it was when I joined a couple years ago after another gym closed their local one I went to. EFC has allowed us to continue the same contract as the one from the previous gym and pay the same price and go month to month. EFC is a massive gym! Lots of buff people come here, some in barely there clothing to workout and show off their bodies. However, like I said, it was very nice in the beginning. When ehs supply chain issues began after the pandemic, EFC began cutting corners. Soap dispensers changed and sometimes would be dish soap and not even in the dispensers on the sinks which would always be empty. The toilets used to be automatic flush and many have broken and replaced with the manual flush. They have posted signs complaining of costs during tough times and a lack of employees to do the job. So they had signs to hire people, and I even applied, but they either didn't fill it, or they did but nothing changed. I didn't get the job. They used to be open 24 hours a day with maybe an exception on a day or two. Their front doors still claim open 24 hours a day, yet their hours are definitely not 24 hours a day. They close late and open early instead. So if you're looking for a 24 hours open fitness center, this isn't one of them anymore. Otherwise they have contracts and tough salespeople. I almost joined when I first moved to the area, but they are very expensive long contracts. The only way I am here is because of the family membership my father and I had at the other gym which closed, and EFC offered to all members of that gym that they'd meet the same contracts as they had there. So here I am. There are things broken often, but they do have a lot of good workout machines and classes. I love their Les Mills Body Combat class. They have a Smoothie King that opens into the gym for convenience. There also is a "modern aging center" that isn't affiliated with EFC, but it's connected to the building and basically tries to appeal to people looking to appear younger than they are or to use prescribed diet pills. I enjoy coming mostly every day to at least run. It's probably the biggest and best gym in the area. But it definitely has seen better days.

One of the worst gyms I've been to. No one re racks their weight. Barely average equipment. When signing up they try to get you to spam your contact list. Overall sketchy business. Golds is a fraction of the cost with much better staff and equipment.

I came in from out of town to train for the weekend. The young lady at the desk took my money and got me registered. She never told me anything about the club or wear anything was. As I was walking away I asked where the bathroom was and she pointed in the general direction. Another guy overheard me asking where it was and offered to show me around the club. I told him that I thought it was odd that the girl didn't offer to tell me where anything was. Come to find out all the bathrooms on the lower level were closed down due to a sewage backup so I ended up walking into the bathroom and seeing all of that and then having to ask around again to figure out where the other bathrooms were. The girl at the front desk had to know that that was going on because they had vacuums and everything in the bathroom. They seem to be doing a lot of renovations. A lot of the machines seem to be on top of each other especially over in the leg press and bench area. I ended up not coming back the next day just because I didn't want to deal with the hassle and ended up training somewhere else even though I had paid for the weekend. Hopefully, by now they have everything situated as this was Thanksgiving weekend.

The gyms cool and all, but they have too many classes. Their music is obnoxiously loud (you can hear the music over your headphones at full volume). The classes take up majority of the space in the building. When they “redesigned” the facility, they changed rooms where people could exercise and turned them into MORE group class rooms. It doesn’t feel like a gym anymore. Kinda sad.

  • 1/5 Jett S. 1 year ago on Google
So so packed no matter when. Either can sign a 1 or 3 year plan not knowing you’ll never get a spot at any machine you’ll ever want to use. You drive by and the parking lot along with the 3 neighboring parking lots are full. Too many members not enough space

It’s an amazing fitness club. The staff is great. The energy is amazing and the different classes they offer are really really fun. All their facilities are really great and the machines are all in good shape! Scott there was really helpful in getting me signed up and recommending the best packages they have offer! Will recommend it to anyone coming and living in and around the Evans area!

We join two weeks ago. Classes are plentiful and challenging. The instructors are opening snd welcoming for the most part. Push class and The Body Pump wee great! I did have one boot camp coach that wasn’t very encouraging. He stated he didn’t work with beginners. Overall, I’ve made a great choice. I love the sauna and steam room. Those two offerings sealed the deal for me.

The facility’s atmosphere is VERY warm and welcoming! I love that it is clean and that there is plenty of equipment to use to get a balanced workout in. I also love that i can watch movies while using the elliptical machine which is usually what I do last before ending my workout with a few stretches. It’s extremely relaxing and the movies are on point…you kinda almost forget that you’re working out LOL.

I was between choosing two different gyms. EFC and another gym in the area. I talked to the staff at EFC and scheduled a tour. Let's say I signed up by the end of the tour. Great facility, great staff, and a plethora of activities going on. My family absolutely loves Evans Fitness Club.

  • 3/5 S P. 8 months ago on Google
This was once a great place for working out. However after recent upgrades, classes operate in the center of the gym with music blasting so loudly that you can’t hear another person speaking four inches away from your face. This is morning at Evans Fitness July 26, 2023: The music was excessively loud in three areas. The cycling class was the loudest but not to be outdone the class’s, operating in the middle of the gym, music was increased by an order of magnitude. Then the general gym music was playing. Have had conversations with gym management multiple times…doesn’t help. Packed my bags and left within the hour of getting to the gym. Consider another gym or go at four in the morning, 2 o’clock in the afternoon, or after 8 p.m. By the way, gym members are less than sanitary. Use the bathroom before you come to EFC.

I'm new. I still haven't tried every but so far so good. I have tried the boot camp work out and it was good. I like the fact that the gym is always busy but not overcrowded. You can still work out without having to worry about everything being used.

We love Evans Fitness Center no matter what time of day I workout there are always enough machines and enough space to really get a good workout. There are so many classes to choose from as well which is awesome so you're never bored with your workout. Enrolment was easy and affordable

Signing up was easy peasy and I love the options for classes. The recruiters are kind and welcoming. It's a good place to exercise, everyone just does their own thing; and there are so many options for different types of exercising, it really could fill 20 hours of your week trying to do it all. Also, ran into one of the owners and he was uber friendly, couldn't have asked for a better interaction with an owner of a company, definitely helped concrete the goodness of this gym. Only complaint is that sometimes the music is a little raunchy, but.. It's a gym full of guys.. so I get it.

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS AND RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! Signed up last night being told that childcare was included in my membership. Showed up today and was toldnit would be $20/mo extra. I might have been fine paying the $20/mo extra but the blatant lie made me turn around and walk out the door with my now crying child. This has to be an absolute sick joke. Horrible experience and will be letting any mom looking for a membership to a gym know about the misleading practices and blatant lies here.

My husband and I recently joined EFC and I couldn't be happier with my decision. When we signed up, Steve was the one who helped us and he was fantastic. He answered all of our questions, gave us a tour of the facility and made the sign-up process a breeze. We both opted for personal training and we've been working with our trainers Haley and Bradyn for a few weeks now. I have to say, we are both absolutely loving it. We really appreciate the personalized attention and guidance they provide. Overall, I highly recommend this gym. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and well-maintained, and the personal training program is top-notch. If you're looking for a gym that truly cares about its members, this is the place to be.

This may get long winded. I am a person who works out at least 3-4 times a week. My regular gym is 24 hours but only offered equipment, no classes. Well, I was really interested into getting back into group fitness classes and heard about EFC. I was sold after the tour and class list. There are many varieties of classes from cycling, yoga, barre, bootcamp workouts and the les mils classes (body pump, zumba, etc). I signed up for the year upfront as the special was buy 12 months and get 6 months free. The price for me was reasonable as a single person when divided across the 18 months and a cleaning fee is not included if you pay upfront. The equipment is decent and rhey have plenty of most machines, benches, and racks. I have enjoyed the sauna after every workout and sometimes use the steam room. I will say that I've noticed a lot of members, male and female, don't tend to wipe off equipment after a workout, usually the cardio equipment so please wipe before and after use. I paid upfront and I'm a permanent resident of Columbia County so I can't speak to the issues with ending the contract early for those temporarily stationed here or moving away. The instructors have all been nice and friendly. Even though I'm in good shape, the classes do give me a good challenging workout. For what the gym offers, I think its worth the money. The family plan would be double the rate I paid but I was told it can allow up to 6 users on one family plan so if you have a big family, it may be worth the cost if all the family members use the gym. I didn't pay the extra for the special 2 classes they offer and also didn't need the daycare but that is an additional cost. They have a hydromassage machine, I didn't pay for that either. I feel the basic amenities were suitable enough for my fitness needs.

Tyler went above and beyond during our enrollment process. He was helpful and available without being pushy. He answered all of my questions and did a great job and is a large part of the reason we joined EFC! As a family with teenagers and a toddler, it’s nice to have a healthy activity that we can all enjoy together thanks to fun childcare that the little one loves! Thanks Tyler!

** BE AWARE ** They have essentially taken the marketing and sales tactics of a grimy used car dealership and placed them in this gym. They don't list prices on their website so you MUST go there and talk to them in person where they make you WAIT to see a salesperson who uses all the tricks you would come to expect from lousy car dealership. Pricing is not straightforward and "discounts" start getting applied to pressure you into joining. They text you incessantly after if you don't sign that day.. and their mailers they send out are completely misleading. "6 months free" yeah after playing for 1 year upfront. If you don't like slimy sales tactics, go somewhere else.

EVANS FITNESS CLUB HAS THE BEST CHILDCARE EVER! The staff is amazing, loving and caring for your children and is always there for you as well! You walk in to that childcare and the atmosphere in there is always welcoming. Another perk is that they always keep the childcare clean and organized this way they try to keep away all the little germs that they possibly can by cleaning top to bottom every single shift. They also offer parents night out, kid fit classes, which is amazing. My kids absolutely love. Going in there and playing on the jumpy and the basketball court and meeting new friends. The gym is well maintained and clean. They did an amazing renovation that I absolutely love and i truly enjoy working out here at EFC. All of the staff are very respectful and welcoming! I also enjoy taking the classes as well they have a lot of amazing instructors and classes!
