The
gym
itself:
Spectacular.
The
staff
is
pretty
friendly,
the
workout
equipment
is
good.
There
are
a
lot
of
cool
features
that
the
club
has.
But
the
company
and
the
business
engages
in
skeevy
business
practices.
When
I
signed
up,
I
signed
up
for
the
1
year
contract,
and
told
them
to
not
auto
renew.
I
looked
on
my
account
and
the
worker
who
signed
me
up
set
it
to
auto
renew.
I
called
the
club
and
asked
them
to
change
it,
which
they
then
gave
me
the
runaround
and
told
me
I
had
to
call
their
financial
company
-
ABC
financial.
So
I
did
just
that.
I
got
a
call
center
representative
and
he
also
gave
me
the
runaround
-
even
though
he
was
perfectly
able
to
change
the
auto
renew
on
his
end,
he
told
me
that
I
needed
to
send
a
written
notice
in
to
the
company
via
email.
I
then
asked
him
why
I
need
to
send
an
email
communication,
which
is
slower,
when
I'm
on
the
phone
with
him
right
now?
More
runaround
"This
is
the
procedure
of
the
club
and
I
can't
go
against
it."
I
sent
in
the
email
request
which
I'm
absolutely
positive
will
be
intentionally
not
processed
until
after
the
contract
renews
again,
which
will
force
me
to
either
pay
another
year
+
fees
or
pay
the
exit
cost
of
the
contract.
I've
read
the
other
reviews
about
how
this
gym
does
sneaky
financial
things
with
the
billing
and
chose
to
take
a
chance
and
overlook
it,
and
now
I
can
say
that
all
of
those
reviews
are
absolutely
legit
and
you
should
not
enter
into
an
agreement
with
this
club.
The
gym
itself?
Fantastic
place.
The
company
that
owns
it?
Liars,
thieves,
and
extortioners
hiding
behind
the
faces
of
friendly
salespeople.
More
than
anything,
I
supremely
didn't
appreciate
the
"hot
potato"
treatment
everybody
I
spoke
with
gave
me
regarding
this
matter.
2
star
because:
As
I
said,
the
gym
is
a
great
place
and
decent
environment.
Edit:
Tip
for
anyone
else
trying
to
cancel
their
auto-renewal
or
any
other
cancellation:
The
call
center
will
hold
onto
the
contract
tooth
and
nail,
and
will
do
everything
they
can
to
give
you
the
runaround
and
give
you
excuses
why
they
can't
process
it.
The
call
center
rep
isn't
able
to
hang
up
on
you,
so
as
long
as
you
stay
on
the
line,
they'll
be
forced
to
deal
with
you.
They
will
do
small
tricks
such
as:
putting
you
on
excessive
hold
times,
giving
you
the
runaround.
The
rep
I
talked
to
tried
to
change
the
subject
and
divert
the
topic.
She
even
outright
lied
to
me
about
the
date
the
contract
started,
to
which
I
told
her
I
have
the
information
right
in
front
of
me
and
that
she's
lying.
They'll
ask
you
to
send
an
email
as
a
'written
request."
Do
so,
and
when
you
send
in
the
email
to
cancel
the
auto
renew,
call
them
back
immediately
and
ask
the
representative
to
process
it.
If
they
tell
you
they
can't,
ask
them
for
an
email
from
them
that
the
contract
will
have
auto
renew
disabled
and/or
an
end
date.
It's
legally
binding
and
the
company
has
to
honor
it.
Wait
on
the
line
for
them
to
send
the
email
and
don't
let
them
off
the
hook
until
you
receive
the
email.
Also,
check
the
wording
of
the
email.
The
first
email
I
got
was
that
"the
request
to
cancel
auto
renew
was
received"
but
did
not
mention
anything
about
it
being
honored.
After
another
10
minutes
of
carefully
chosen
words
and
her
putting
me
on
hold
for
5
of
those
minutes,
she
did
eventually
send
the
email
that
included
the
ending
date
of
the
contract.
Wait
on
the
line
until
you
get
the
email,
and
check
that
the
email
is
properly
written
as
you
requested.
The
representative
will
do
everything
in
their
power
to
convince
you
to
hang
up,
but
don't
until
you
get
what
you
came
for.
It
took
me
47
minutes
to
get
the
representative
to
do
all
of
this,
something
that
is
possible
in
about
5
minutes
at
the
absolute
most.
Stay
on
the
line,
stay
vigilant,
and
stay
on
point.
Edit
2:
Culled
some
of
the
review
to
put
this:
If
you're
trying
to
get
them
to
stop
stealing
your
money,
go
on
their
portal
site.
Change
your
card/bank
information
to
a
nonexistant
card,dead
card,
OR
a
gift
card.
1111111111111111
(16
1's)
works
for
a
card
number.They'll
be
unable
to
process
the
payment
due
to
the
card
not
actually
existing.
