Lovely place to visit, FREE PARKING UP THE STREET ON THE LEFT SIDE, don't go to the pay parking.

Nice picturesque view of the temple and overall great scenery of the around territory: mountains. I encourage you to buy a bus shuttle to the theater as it is cheap and fast, unless you want to make the whole way yourself :)

Segesta is a nice place to visit. I recommend to go early in the morning or late in the evening. Although, I did not appreciate the payment system. First you have to pay the parking and bus transportation to the entrance of the parc. Second, you pay the entrance and then you can, if you like, an other bus to access to the theater. Not really my taste

The temple is magnificent and being lucky enough to be there at sunset made it perfect. The site is huge and they have buses to take you to the top where remains of theater, castle and more there for you to roam. The views of the agricultural areas that surround the site are lovely. The park is well maintained with modern facilities. It is a popular place and parking in quite a distance away. Entry is inexpensive and includes to bus to reach the top. It was one of our favorite stops in Sicily.

Great adventure walking around the hills full of history. There is free parking but entry cost us around 25 euro for 2 adults and 2 children including additional cost of the bus which can take you up and down from the parking space as it is a steep climb. Although we walked back down as there are gr at cies and a nice path.

An outstanding archaological site. Unfathomable old and beautifully constructed. Parking availability good. Bus crowded but helpful because otherwise getting to the amphitheater is a rigorous hike. Temple is another hike of 250 meters. Good snack bar.

Due to wildlife, the area looks a bit poor. Never the less it's worth a visit. The row to buy a ticket was long with a waiting time of around 30 min. Buying tickets online would be a good idea. Do this not when you arrive on the Spot as the Internet is hard to find. The local staff is very helpful and do speak English perfectly. There is a bus driving you up, a good idea. Walking is also possible, but I recommend the way down 😉

It was my first archeological park of this scale and the experience was magical. I highly recommend it to everyone who travels to Palermo and loves the ancient times. You can really feel the spirit of the antiquity in the air!

Very interesting Greek remains. Well preserved and nice to see an 'unfinished' temple. Tip: Take the bus up but if the weather is nice, walk down

Nice temple, we skipped the rest of the park, it was a little far for walking and we didn't pay for the ticket that would allow us to take the shuttle bus. So but the cheap ticket just for the temple, buy the ticket with bus for the whole park.

Great value for money. Well maintained park with historical monuments that deserve a visit. I only wish that the bus used to transport people up the hill was more environmentally friendly.

One of the most stunning places I have ever visited! The beautiful Greek amphitheater with the best back drop possible! One on the best gems in Northern Sicily

Every 20 min a bus ride up to the Theatre. With family, we agree the views were beautiful.

This is a must-see archealogical park with spectacular monuments but poor maintenance and services. Some of the tracks shown on the map are very overgrown, while some of the paths in the main areas have barriers that don't seen to have any purpose. Toilets are atrocious and the only parking space is up the road where someone without any authorization will ask for 2€ ...

NO MISS! I have not made it to Athens... This temple and park is world class. You feel the antiquity of it! Short walks in the heat are bareable for the temple and then a great shop and Cafe that is well equipped with drinks, food, snacks amd a good souvenir shop. We never got to the amphetheater that is at the top of the hill/small-mountain. However for a small fee, you can take a bus if you don't want to hike the 1,5km

Arrived early, before the crowds. The Temple and Theatre are interesting, with sympathetic restoration in places. Great views across the region both to the sea and inland. The serpentine route of the modern motorway is in stark contrast to the ancient monuments.

This archelogical site is Located directly by the highway from Trapani to Palermo. Divided to the two parts. The temple and the amphiteathre. You can Buy a shuttle to transport between, since they are quite apart.

A magnifiscent temple, you can also admire from inside (not allowed with other greek temples we visited in Sicily). The ruins of the city are also well worth visiting. It is very steep and quite a distance. So we do recommend taking the Parc's bus (every half an hour or so).

Stunning amazing place, we visited just after the wildfires total burnt devastation but still an absolutely beautiful interesting place with fantastic views.

A beautiful temple and amphitheater. The entry fee is around 8 euros without the shuttle bus (it is a 10 min walk to the temple and 20 minutes to the amphitheater, very doable but on top of a hill, so expect a steep walk). First Sunday of the month the entrance is free.

Totally worthy to visit if you're in Segesta. I would recommend to take the bus (+2€) to go from the main entrance to the theatre otherwise you need to walk up the hill for approx 25min, With the sun and heat can be difficult

Very beautiful and with it! If you go on a sunny day bring water with you. The bus bring you all the up, and every half hour comes back. It's a very long walk if you don't go with bus.

Worthwhile. Impressive temple condition, for the well-publicised reasons. If you pay for the bus, be prepared to be firm in making sure you get on, the guides do not respect your place in the queue.

Great view. Save yourself the walk and take the bus up.

Bad organization and a lot of misunderstandings. after waiting for an hour there was still no bus to take us to the location... cost=€8! per person

  • 1/5 Dominique F. 2 years ago on Google
I arrived with the bus from palermo, as the bus was 5 min late, the access to the park just closed and they didn't allow me to enter to visit even though people who arrived earlier were allowed to stay 1h30 later in the park. It s a pity! Especially in Italy were many transport and services are late.

Very well preserved temple and amphitheatre. Stunning views. Highly recommend to everyone who's staying in Palermo.

Nice place. Good views especially from the amphitheatre. It costs 2€ for a bus up the hill, but it's about a 1k walk and 100m climb so we just walked. Only 4 star because some signs are fallen down and broken and some general maintenance would be needed. If you're with public transport there is a bus from Trapani right at the entrance, but you need to time it right. We spent an hour

About 2/3 open, but no reason why, got ripped off by the guts selling tickets, & only addition seems to be some very solidly placed ground lighting that's almost perfectly placed to break your toes & trip you up. Why the greens would build it so close to an autostrada is beyond me. (joke obvs).

nice place, we walked up there with our 1year old child, really nice to see.

Beautifully maintained and worth the trip!

Well, the place is absolutely stunning with the temple and the ancient theater but as many other places in Sicily is unfortunately a little neglected with sun-burnt signage and trash everywhere
