This zoo is a wonderful fixture in the community. We have lived here over a year now and have been members since our first week! The summer camps are great, lights are magical, the ice slide is a fun addition. We always get the experience package and definitely recommend the addition to the membership. We went to Noon Years Eve this NYE and everyone in our party had a blast. I lead a local Girl scout troop and our girls have been for the zoo sleepover as well as 2 day programs, everything we have had the opportunity to participate in has been great!

Very nice zoo. Came from Detroit to see animals we donโ€™t have at the Detroit zoo. I personally didnโ€™t get to see very many, as the group I was with was slow moving lol. This is obviously no fault of the zoo but I missed a lot and I will certainly have to come back. From what I did see, it appears to be a very nice zoo and the animals were pretty active. They do also have a small aquarium which is included with admission. You can easily get through the aquarium in half an hour, so donโ€™t expect to spend a long time there. They do have a touch tank where you can touch rays and small sharks. The kids really enjoyed that. The zoo does have a train that doesnโ€™t go very far, but itโ€™s only $2.50 per person, they also have a merry go round for $2 each. They of course also have places to buy souvenirs and get your face painted. The coolest exhibit I saw there was the museum of natural history that had lots of detailed sculptures of animals that were once in America but are now extinct such as giant sloths, mastodons, etc. This building also had a touch tank where you can touch sturgeon. There are quite a few places to eat there, but a lot appeared to be closed. Be prepared to pay a premium for bottled water, you may want to consider bringing your own, as it was $4 per bottle Overall, we had a fun time and I definitely want to come back so I can see everything. I would definitely check this out if youโ€™re in the area and if youโ€™re in Detroit, Iโ€™d suggest visiting this zoo as a change from the one in Detroit if youโ€™d like to see some different animals. Zoo is only about an hour away from Detroit.

Love this zoo, I've been coming here since I was a kid- and it seems to just get better and better each year. We went on a Wednesday this year and it wasn't very crowded at all. The animals were more interactive than I've ever seen That's gotta be my favorite thing about this zoo, how well the animals are looked after. Their enclosures are large, they seem genuinely happy, which makes this place such a great experience. I've gone to other zoos in major cities and in comparison, they've seemed like backyard barn farms. Despite the stellar review, definitely be prepared for the price of food. It's outrageous, but what tourist attraction doesn't have outrageously priced food? It's a tradition. The souvenirs are also jacked up in price- but the stuff is pretty cute. I personally love my little octopus plushie I got from the aquarium gift shop. And as a native to the Toledo area, its very important they reopen the entrance on Broadway. If you serve the community in such a large way as letting the entire county free on Mondays, at least let the people who live in the neighborhood walk in. They have to put up with a lot due to the zoo- and it would be nice if the zoo extended that kindness. Other than that soapbox speech, the Toledo zoo really is a wonderful place that is near and dear to my heart.

So much to see and do here at the Toledo Zoo, definitely make a day for it. My only complaint is the aquarium gets so ridiculously over crowded that it is nearly impossible to enjoy anything because you end up elbow to elbow with everyone. Which sucks because the aquarium was so cool but way too busy to stop and admire anything. Other then that it was fun! Lots of animals to see and exhibits to walk through.

Last time I was here was when I was alittle girl... now 36 and brought my family. We loved it as it has a lot of animals that our local zoo doesn't have. It's very clean but kinda of expensive. You have to buy everything separately it seems like the rides and entrance fee are separate. We did get our entrance fee have price for being members at another zoo. We rode the train for $ 3 or $4 each. For my family of 3 to eat ( I had chicken tenders with fries and the two kids had hot dog with fries) it was $45. They have snack shacks everywhere and it is a very clean zoo. Animals look well taken care of and healthy.

My girlfriend and I went on a rainy day and there was still plenty to do and see. Many of the outdoor animal exhibits were less active, as the animals were sheltering from the rain, but some were still active and there were plenty of indoor exhibits to enjoy. Plus, it was not crowded at all and we could easily move from exhibit to exhibit without having to fight our way through mobs of children and families. We had a really nice day. ๐Ÿ˜

Was a great experience. One of my favorite zoos. And I go to 2 new zoos every year. Seen so many animals I haven't seen at other zoos. Nice to see pairs and no solo animals. Plenty of places for kids to play and have fun. Free water fountains, huge plus there. We pay enough to get in. Love seeing the original buildings in with the new. Will recommend.

Most expensive zoo we've gone too. I think prices across the board were a bit higher than anything we've seen from other, better known zoos. Also had to pay for parking. But anyway, I'll always give zoos 5 stars if they treat the animals well. The habitats were well thought out and most were well sized. All animals had forms of enrichment and ways to stay active which was great. There is information and historical data all over the park so there is plenty to read, which I enjoyed. Besides pricing, my only complaint are the information TVs above most exhibits. It takes way too long for most of the information screens to cycle back around and I just couldn't keep waiting. They either need to add more TVs or simply go back to the informational signs like most zoos have. And clean the glass. It was hard to see into a lot of exhibits. But we went late in the year. Maybe that's a seasonal job??

The most amazing place ever SeaWorld SD is the most amazing attraction I have ever visited, it is completely amazing, you must visit it if you are ever in San Diego. Make sure to plan the day around showtimes and make sure to visit all exhibits and shows, do not miss anything, each and every one of them is just amazing, and plan to spend the entire day to be able to see it all. It is fun to be in the splash zone so make sure to take a raincoat. Just like any other park, the food and drinks prices are more expensive than the normal outside prices, so take enough water and snacks for the day.

Wow so much fun! This zoo was a lot bigger than I had anticipated. Tons of exhibits and habitats for many different animals. We especially loved the gorillas and monkeys exhibits they were super active when we went. Lots of playgrounds and interactive exhibits for many little ones to interact with. Loved the old school design of all the old marble buildings. My one suggestion would to have better signage of where certain paths lead to. We found ourselves backtracking quite a bit since we couldnโ€™t find a clear exit for many exhibits.

Even during the restrictive conditions caused by COVID, there is so much to see here. This zoo rivals zoos in much larger cities in terms of both atmosphere and exhibits. The path is well-marked and there is nice and wide. There are "skip" paths, if you want a shorter route. The staff was all welcoming and friendly. I'll definitely be back once this COVID stuff is over!

The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo A 140,000-gallon fish tank greets visitors at theย Bermuda Aquarium, which also has a museum and a zoo, in the quaint Flatts Village on the North Shore. The aquarium has several large tanks housing 200 species of fish and coral reef found in the waters surrounding the island. It also has outdoor turtle and seal exhibits, which give visitors a chance to witness feedings (several times a day). The aquarium arranges whale-watching cruises aboard theย RV Enduranceย in the spring to witness migrating humpback whales. Theย Natural History Museumย has exhibits on the ecology and geology of Bermuda along with displays on the wildlife from the archipelago. It features several interactive and kid-friendly activities, a playground, and sandbox. The zoo houses 300 reptiles, birds, and mammals from islands around the world, in settings mimicking their natural habitat. In the Madagascar section, expect to find some curious lemurs sitting or jumping on boulders. You'll also find areas dedicated to the animal life from the Galapagos islands, flocks of flamingos, and tortoises.

Kids absolutely loved it. Very well maintained park, easy to park and enjoy the zoo. Had a great time with the family. Few things to note - due to the pandemic, most food locations are closed, please carry your own food and drinks. If traveling with kids, carry your own stroller, wagon or rent one at the zoo, very convenient for kids and sit and enjoy the exhibits. Get to the zoo early. Ensures you can see all the animals in timely manner. It's not very crowded and there are many volunteers to help out visitors

I am now starting to travel around the Toledo area, and one of my favorites is the Toledo Zoo. I decided to go during the Lights Before Christmas so this will be my point of view. The lights scattered everywhere at the Toledo Zoo is a beautiful scene and a great spot for pictures, family time, etcetera. Compared to previous years the lights have just gotten better which includes the main tree. There were reindeer, deer, and other animals that normally wasn't there. --The Toledo Zoo-- , the only problem was that there was a long wait and in the end it just made the total experience slightly worse however I understand that no matter what you do to a public event there is most likely gonna be a long wait. 4/5

My husband & I bought all of our adult kids & their families zoo passes with the adventure package for Christmas. Our stipulation was family zoo day once a year. What a great tradition! We had our family day on Saturday and as always, our experience did not disappoint. Everyone loved feeding the giraffes. Our ten year old granddaughter experienced her first zip line adventure. She was pretty scared but the two staff members on duty calmed her fears like true professionals. Thank you so much to Rebecca & Noah for your personal touches with encouraging and supporting Sophia. You both went above & beyond and she is so proud she accomplished it! We canโ€™t wait to visit again from Michigan in a couple of weeks. Toledo Zoo ROCKS!!

Large and fun zoo. Animals are very close and were very active in the cold. Zoo lights were very cool at night. Detroit Zoo has a more elaborate Zoo Lights experience, but costs extra even if you are a member. Got here near zoo opening on a weekday in December and there were not very many people there, but it was packed by the time we left.

Too much fun! If you can, get an family pass you should definitely go for it. Thereโ€™s too much going to see and one day is not enough time!๐Ÿฅฐ we also got the experience package which pays for itself. We get to go on as many rides as we want on the safari train and carousel. And we can feed the giraffes with it too. Plus it gets you trick or treating for free and all the other seasonal activities as well.

The weekend weather was great for visiting Sea World. They were well prepared for social distancing. Seats are marked in the stadiums and the cafรฉs. Face covering us being enforced. All rides are closed, the Cirque show is happening, and Wild Artic was closed on Friday. Sad to see Pets Rule is no longer there, it was fun to watch. It did seem as though the shows were very basic and much shorter than before. Still a good visit.

Whilst walking around Quezon City ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ today ... I discovered this tranquil inner city zoological & wildlife park Even thou Ninoy Aquino Park & Wildlife Centre does have limited fauna , nevertheless along with the scenic flora .... I still enjoyed my steady walk around - looking at the animals & the picturesque lake ( for now the fishing village closed ... due to coronavirus restrictions )

Try to book your visit as early as possible. We came at 9 and already line up for admission. Park is not big but enough for a family to spend a day. Staff did great job to control the traffic. (They count people in and out) Mask up and enjoy:)

I've been to the Detroit Zoo a few times and every time I've gone, I've never seen the gorillas. The gorillas at the Toledo Zoo were front and center and we even got to see a little baby gorilla! They also have elephants at the Toledo Zoo and there isn't any elephants at the Detroit Zoo (I always heard it was inhumane to keep elephants in captivity). They have a free zip line there too. We didn't get to do that though, my kid isn't big enough yet (has to weigh at least 75 lbs). Everything except the conservatory was open when we went. It would have been a perfect visit but when we got there we followed people the wrong way walking back to their cars. We lost 15 minutes. We didn't know which way to go, it was our first time going to this zoo. The parking attendant that was standing literally right next to us where we parked didn't tell us that we were going the wrong way either. When we finally made our way back and said something to the guy, he thought it was funny. They did waive our parking fee for the inconvenience.

We are from Detroit and this is definitely one of the places that we like to visit during summer. They have many different varieties of animals/exhibits and kids love them! Best of all, they also have an aquarium inside the zoo so itโ€™s best of both worlds! Please keep up the good work!!

Fantastic zoo! We went in purchasing basic admission and came out running to the membership sign up stand. The animals at this zoo were more lively and active than any other zoo I've been too. There were so many baby animals to see. The aquarium and aviary was stellar and large. The reptile house is always my favorite but sadly the largest, the alligator, was sleepy. General admission for two adults is $58.00. Parking is $11.00 at the Hippo road entrance parking lot. We decided to buy the membership because we absolutely will be back! We were able to combine our ticket purchase from today and the total for the family membership was $48.00! That pays for itself in two visits and you receive free parking with that membership. We didn't stop at any of the restaurants, but maybe next time.

Got an up close parking spot, no fee for parking during winter lights! We had the zoo nearly to ourselves for the 4 o'clock entry time, it was awesome! Lots to do and see, even in the winter. Animals are very well taken care of and evidence of enrichment. Business picked up around 5. Definitely worth the ticket price!

  • 5/5 Charlene S. 3 years ago on Google
The lights were absolutely gorgeous. It would have been nice if they had another line open for members to go through when arriving. It was a very nice time and everyone entering the zoo was required to wear a mask. Lots of familes laughing and enjoying themselves. You can see why the Toledo Zoo has won, the best lights award. If you have young children make sure to bring a stroller or wagon since there is a lot of walking. The only side open is the Anthony Wayne side.

First time visiting the Toledo Zoo, and was thrilled to have come here. I know the pandemic has changed a lot of things around, but there is ample sanitizing stations throughout the zoo! Also, most of the animals were active today, which was a huge bonus! I cannot wait to come back when the weather is warmer to experience the zoo in a more normal fashion.

We went for the Sesame Street light parade and it was really fun. The drive through the park was pretty cool for the kids (and the adults in the car got into it too), but it was pretty short. Also, there's only one bathroom opportunity right at the beginning of the drive. It is super cool to drive through the park though. And if you're really looking out, you can see some of the animals while you drive through (even they aren't supposed to be part of the parade.)

This is a review for the Sesame Street drive through Lights show. I inquired before booking regarding how long the experience takes and was told 15-25 min. I booked a 6:15 drive though on a Saturday and brought my toddler. Arrived around 6:05. It was a complete disaster. It took an hour and a half before we even got to the entrance. My wife and I were in disbelief at how poorly organized everything was.. it was really difficult with a 19 month old waiting patiently. The actual lights were cute but super short and not worth the ridiculous wait. Iโ€™m not sure whether they just didnโ€™t realize how many people were coming or what. Highly advise you to save $60 to spend over an hour in line.

Giving a 4 because several shows/places/decorations that were listed on the website as "open" were not. That being said - they did exceptional with what they could offer at this time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Guests followed protocols and we enjoyed a nice day.

What a rip off. There is no clear notification to anyone on their home page that none of the rides are open. When you make the decision to spend money there, you are expecting to understand what you are paying for. If the rides aren't open, say that clearly. I would never have paid this much money just to see three shows. I understand its hard to make a buck during covid, but taking advantage of your customers is just not right.

5 months prego, with 4 other kids from 3 to 7yrs. This was a good pick to come for the age range. I was so glad to see the Big Playground for kids that also kept them entertained. As long as there is an adult rider with the kids I recommend for pregnant woman to still come and enjoy the smiles on their childโ€™s face. I did not want to let my pregnancy get in the way of my kids summer fun๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œโค

I wish I could give it 0 stars. I am a former annual pass holder, and I just found out that for 9 months after (temporarily) cancelling my annual pass following the final payment, due to COVID-19, I have still been being charged. I have spoken to your customer support and they refused to refund any more than 4 months. I find this atrocious, especially during a pandemic when people are hurting more than ever. I would think that given Sea World's situation of being already much maligned in the publics eye due to Blackfish and other media attention, your customer service would be a #1 priority. Stealing your customer's money for 9 months, then refusing to correct the issue shows how you really feel about your customers, and yet again I must state that this is during a global PANDEMIC. I would appreciate the rest of my money refunded.

A good place to relax with nature. Some parts are under renovation but still looks good. I just cant understand one thing. Me and my cousin passed by it riding our bicycles but apparently we don't have bike locks but we still decided to go inside since we're already there. Then the guard told us that since we don't have locks we can bring our bikes with us but we can't ride it which is okay. But as we walk, motorcycles and even cars are park further inside and some others passed us by. So its just a bit of confusing that bikes are not allowed to be used inside but cars and motorcycles are. I just forgot to ask about it when we decided to go out. But still, the place is good and worth the 30 pesos entrance fee.

Very cheap entry. Would be better if they charged more and used the money for good. Litter everywhere including in the so called lagoon. Animals caged looking very old and unwell. I thought this was a rescue center but it seemed more of a captivity prison. Was nice to get away from the noise of the traffic for an hour but I would never return or recommend anyone to go. Would give a 0 Star rating if possible.

This is a literal breath of fresh air amidst the busy and toxic city life. The kids enjoy just running around. Though there are small stores to buy food, they don't sell rice meals here. You need to bring your own food. You also need to bring your own bikes, mat, and other supplies. There is no place to rent them here.

Great zoo! During COVID they are requiring people to wear face masks and to move only one way through the zoo which was incredibly helpful. You make one big loop of the zoo and see everything. Most of the indoor exhibits were closed, but all of the outdoor ones were allowing guests. A couple were monitored by staff to help keep the flow. Over all a great zoo, with lots of very cool animals and exhibits!!

Great small aquarium with enough to see for a small 1-2 hour tour. The aquarium is slightly more interesting then the zoo, but both sides have fun exotic animals to see. We came in the winter (early February), an off time for tourist, so we missed some of the animals, but it wasn't crowded at all and easy to find/get around and see things quickly. No tour guides, but this way we had our own pace and still had a lot facts to read and learn about the creatures.

A wonderful place to visit!!! This may be a small facility, but well worth the time. An incredible Aquarium, great Natural History Museum and small zoo....do see the last exhibition, a large enclosed space which you wander through with small animals, birds which are all around you!! There is a small cafe with wonderful views. The area just outside the is certainly worth wandering around, it's just stunning! Number 3 bus is a 5 min walk away, numbers 10 & 11 are right outside.

"BERMUDA AQUARIUM + ZOOLOGICAL WILDLIFE PARK".. Conservation of Turtle Species such as the Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle are ongoing here, with Green Turtles, some from other areas, regularly seen eating sea bed grasses, amazing.. Such large ocean environments are important for many oceanic species that travel hundreds of miles during their individual life times, trying to avoid the 'human plastic pollution, over fishing, poaching,' that threatens their future existence.. Only a few hundred years ago the Oceanic Seas were absolutely full of life, avidly described by the first long distance 'western sea farers', so many Green Turtles that one could walk across their breeding bays on their backs.. We all know of the near extinction plight of certain oceanic Whale Species, conservation being necessary to stop their absolute consumption by Whaling Ships.. Scientific Data is always being updated, Scientific Data suggests that Whale Species actually keep the Oceanic Seas Cool.. Turtle Facts, Whale Facts, Oceanic Marine Animal Facts can/will amaze any interested 'human species'.. So, if you can remember the 'pristine ocean environment', that you are 'blessed' to live within, as many would surely change 'snowy london city', for the warm ocean sunshine of "BERMUDA ISLANDS".. "BERMUDA AQUARIUM + ZOOLOGICAL WILDLIFE PARK" has an interesting, educational, informative web site where you can discover the animals, oceanic species, the ongoing conservation projects.. When you visit the area, you will surely never forget the organised swimming adventures with the 'wild sea turtles', the rare opportunity to see the other Oceanic Marine Species, Animal Species.. Of course you might not be seen again, as 'things/people' seem to vanish, like huge ships full of gold treasures, diamonds, well maybe.. 'Imaginative Conservation Ideas, with Funds are always welcome'.. Thanks for looking after the Wild Sea Turtles.. Around the World, Red Crab Migratory Routes now have high bridges over vehicle paved roads, the Red Crabs use these safe bridges to avoid being squashed by vehicles.. Sir David Attenborough in one of his gold funded films featured little just born Turtles, some confused by the human artificial sea coast bright lights, some being trapped in drains, etc.. Hopefully Sir David has found assistance, for future generations of 'Little Turtles'... "BERMUDA AQUARIUM + ZOOLOGICAL WILDLIFE PARK"..

Very nice place! $10 entrance fee is very reasonable for what you get. There are a lot of cool things to see here, I recommend a stop here! We had no kids with us, but still enjoyed it very much! Very well kept and neat.

The buildings here look like something you would see in Europe. They have an outdoor amphitheater which is incredible. I'm surprised that there are concerts that take place there. This was my first time going to the Toledo Zoo. I have been to Cincinnati and to the well-known Columbus Zoo. I was very surprised by this place because I thought it would be a letdown. I personally would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Love the Toledo Zoo. But BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS!! The vast majority of the cafes and snack places are closed. No dipping dots. No cotton candy. Otherwise a great day.

Honestly I was pretty disappointed making the drive from metro Detroit to hear. Thereโ€™s no flow to the layout of the zoo and too many dead ends. The enclosures of the animals was admittedly better than the Detroit zoo so that was cool and the giraffe feeding experience. I do believe if you live in the area you should go at least once but definitely not worth the drive if itโ€™s an hour or more.

I went to the Toledo Zoo for the adult overnight program and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I would recommend it to anyone. After the program finished in the morning, we spent a few hours exploring the zoo in the daylight. Some of the signage is a bit outdated but it adds to the overall charm of the zoo. There's several buildings built by the WPA so the architecture is really unique and interesting. The zoo just has a really cool older vibe and I absolutely adore it.

We always love going to the Toledo Zoo for the lights, and this year was better than ever. After two decades of visiting every year, the Aviary was FINALLY open and we got to see some amazing specimens. Lots of other animals were out, too. Not to mention the lights, which were spectacular as always. The zoo employee screaming at us to get out of the orangutan exhibit did sour the experience a bit, I must say.

Had such a great time and was very surprised at the size and number of exhibits. I grew up going to the San Diego Zoo and was used to the $80 entry price and to move here and find out the price is 1/4 of that, I was amazed but skeptical at first. I thought for sure that I'd get 1/4 of the zoo that I was used too, but no I was blown away at how much they had to offer at such a low price. The food was good and I had a wonderful day. I look forward to going back in the near future! FYI locals get free entry on Mondays :)

Visited for the Lights Before Christmas. The zoo was lit up wonderfully! It was bitter cold, but there were many opportunities to warm up at a gas heater or duck into the Reptile house or other shelters. The big tree was awesome to behold and the myriad of other dancing lights around the park were wonderful!

Easily one of the best zoo experiences I've had: The layout takes a second to get used too with most of the zoo being on the opposite side of the road, they have a nice tunnel and bridge to get to the other side which makes it convenient. When I was here today there was a ramp under construction. A lot of the exhibits are clean and spacious. The animals today were very active and there are a ton of free up-close interactions you can partake in. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable as they wandered the park and interacted with everyone. I would absolutely recommend everyone take a chance here and explore, it's a great and exciting learning environment for everyone!

I love this place! My son took me and got me a wheelchair because I recently broke my ankle. It was nice to get away from the stress of my ankle and be able to enjoy looking at great animals. The bear area is amazing! And if you're wondering which bear area I'm talking about, I'm talking about both of them! Both the polar bear and the black bears.

Good selection of animals to see and they keep improving and expanding habitats. Lots of interactive experiences for kids and people of all ages. Great aquarium, green houses and play areas. Their aviary and reptile house is also nice. They also have a great museum and an outdoor amphitheater. There is also a vegetable patch and pollinator garden. Some cramped quarters for some animals but I can see theyโ€™re working on improving the overall quality of life for the animals. Clean bathrooms and nursing areas. Overall good well rounded experience. Well worth the membership/ ticket fee. Highly recommend getting a membership especially if you have kids. Lots to explore even if you end up coming a few times a month like we do! They also have free days/ times. Friendly knowledgeable staff and volunteers

Had a great day with my family, enjoying the sights and scenery. The zoo has done a lot of improvements since the last time I was there 10+ years ago. The exhibits were great. The food was good, definitely slightly pricey, but there were lots of options. Everything was really clean except for the baby changing station in one of the family restrooms. We bought a membership and I think it is totally worth it because you get free parking (which is normally $10) and also receive 10% off on all food purchases. We can't wait to go back soon!

It's a good zoo. Some animals weren't out, unfortunately. Lots of walking, I believe most if not all of it is stroller/wheelchair accessible! The aquarium has touch tanks where you're able to touch some sea animals. There is a splash pad, it was closed for the season when we visited but hope to visit it when they open again when it warms up. Some animals are no longer there that were there years ago, understandable but sad ๐Ÿ˜ข . Buy a membership, it's worth it.

I could spend hours marveling at the beauty of nature housed within the Toledo Zoo. It was truly a day filled with wonder and appreciation for our planetโ€™s diverse inhabitants. Exploring the different exhibits was a journey through various ecosystems. The Arctic Encounter with polar bears gracefully gliding through the water was breathtaking, while the African Savanna transported me amidst giraffes, wild buffalos, zebras, and tiger with her cubs. One of the highlights was the Aviary, a paradise filled with colorful birds from around the world. Moreover, the zooโ€™s commitment to conservation and education shone through their informative sessions and conservation initiatives. It was heartwarming to witness their dedication to preserving endangered species and raising awareness about wildlife conservation. It was a great experience and still lots more to see & cover, probably when I visit again

Was my first time back at the lights at the zoo in many years. Wow what an improvement and how beautiful. Such a clean place will maintained, friendly help. • 5/5 Skrt R. 3 years ago on Google
This is a great zoo. I have gone here multiple times and was satisfied with my experience each time. When you enter the zoo through the main entrance, thereโ€™s an Arctic section with exhibits of seals and polar bears to the right of the entrance. Past that, thereโ€™s a wolf exhibit and African section, which has zebras, giraffes, a carousel, a train that goes around a replica savannah in a loop, and a high ropes course. Those two exhibits are separated from the rest of the zoo by the Anthony Wayne Parkway, so you have to walk on a pedestrian bridge across the road to get to most of the zoo exhibits. Once you cross the bridge, you get to the flamingo exhibit. Past that, thereโ€™s the zooโ€™s cafeteria and beyond the cafeteria to the left, thereโ€™s the childrenโ€™s play area. Thereโ€™s an indoor building with books and toys for kids to use, and an outdoor area with a massive playground and a large slide. Past the cafeteria to the right, thereโ€™s the amphitheater and aquarium, which is quite nice. The aquarium has many sea animals, and itโ€™s laid out in an orderly fashion, having every sea animal exhibit along one pathway inside the building. Past the aquarium, thereโ€™s the south entrance to the zoo, which has a smaller parking lot. Back near the main entrance, thereโ€™s a large gift shop which has a lot of merchandise. I gave this zoo five stars because it has nice exhibits and is easy to get to, being right on the side of Anthony Wayne Parkway, a major divided road.

Went for the first time during zoo lights, and it was very pretty. Everyone was masked which was great. Lights were great. It got crowded as the night went on (arrived 4pm). There were not a ton of animals, but we got to see an eagle, owl, Huskies, and 2 giraffes. Not worth it with a crabby infant and 2.5 year old with a 1 hour drive, but would recommend to someone with older kiddos and less of a drive!

A ton of the exhibits aren't open right now, but that's not their fault. We didn't like that so many of the bathrooms are closed as well. Food and drinks are overpriced. We did get some cute stuffed animals and my daughter had so much fun at the Sesame Street area. The man who was working in the striped shirt and talking to the kids was excellent. He was so nice for each of the million times my daughter went up to wave at Abby and Ernie. As for the animals we did enjoy seeing a few, but obviously not a ton since inside exhibits are closed. I wouldn't pay a lot to come here, but if you're military and get a free day then it's alright. Overall we did still have a nice day at Sea World.

Received 4 tickets for Xmas. Turns out they expire 1/31. They also require a reservation. Went to make a reservation and the whole month of January is booked. Nobody answers the phone. Get told by a robot approx wait time 1min. Waited forever and never talked to a real person. Now I get to feel guilty about not getting to use a really cool gift.

This is a good place to bring family or barkada for bonding. If you want to get away from the malls and other techy stuff, and want to enjoy the outdoors then this is the right place to go. i liked the place. it's clean and so nice. This is a great place for bonding and learning. Parents should bring their kids here often and not in malls.

Most attractions were closed (due to covid), so at least it wasn't crowded. You need to purchase tickets in advanced too, in case you're thinking of going. The beignets were amazing! But don't try to get a cup of coffee, every place was either out or didn't serve it. When we finally found a place (that had coffee on their sign), they were all out.

Save your money and do not go when the temperature is below 50 degrees. Most of the exhibits were closed as it was about 40 degrees on our visit. We only got to see about half the animals. All vendors were closed, yet they still won't allow outside food or beverages to be brought in. They should have a sign or let people know before you buy tickets that half of the exhibits would be closed. A little disappointing.

  • 4/5 Anna N. 3 years ago on Google
The place is great and the staffs are very friendly. One of my favourite spot is the jellyfish and seahorse. All of the animal are taken good care. Ticket is easy to book through website but, it is expensive comparing to the size of the aquarium. The variety of animals is small. If you have chance to go to Toronto, i recommend the aquarium at Toronto rather than this.

  • 4/5 Daniel Moisรฉs Gonzalez C. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice aquarium with beautiful expositions and landscape. The aquarium itself isn't very big compared to others and there isn't a huge number of animals. Also the polar bear area had been under repair for a very long time without opening. Nevertheless it's a very fun experience, especially for kids. There's a variety of food options, nice picnic areas and playground.

  • 5/5 Whiskeyjack E. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent get away for an experience like no other. I've been to quite a few aquariums, but this one out ranks all of them. I wish the polar bear exhibit was open when we were there, but now next summer during the Justin Bieber concert, we have somewhere to visit again.

  • 5/5 Kevin M. 4 years ago on Google
Nice aquarium. I've seen much better, but the exhibits here are the best they can be. Beautiful outdoor areas with nice views and well maintained landscaping. Well done exhibits for local fish. The Polar Bear display is getting expanded, so they aren't there at the moment. The kids enjoyed the Ray touching tank and the jelly fish exhibit.

My family enjoyed our visit at the Aquarium of Quebec. They've got a quite large variety of large fishes. There's even a tunnel where you will see yourself surrounded by them. Surprisingly, they also had other animals (walrus, dolphins, wolf and owles). The best part was the jelly fish exhibit. It was breathtaking. The only shortfall is that the visit in the acquarium itself felt kind of short.

  • 5/5 Raphaรซlle C. 3 years ago on Google
An amazing place to visit mostly with children. I went to the Aquarium many times as a child and as an adult and I still love to go. There is many nice animals to see and shows. The one I prefer is the walrus show, if I'm right, Boris! Also there is a jellyfish wall! That awesome!! I'm still amazed with that place even if I'm not a child anymore!! It is a most go place!!

  • 4/5 Karen M. 4 years ago on Google
Pretty good aquarium experience. The jellyfish and seahorse exhibits were amazing and absolutely worth visiting. I didn't expect that some of the exhibits would be outside though (the weather was freezing during the winter). Their polar bear exhibit was under renovation at the time of our visit (December 2019), so we didn't get to see polar bears. Their bistro cafe food is also quite decent. You can get a sandwich with 2 salad sides or soup for 12$.

Loved it!! Warning: NEVER go the week between Christmas and New Year's. It is not a good time if your not into crowds and people and kids constantly pushing you from behind to see what's ahead lol. But, we made the best of it and simply being able to see all of its wonders was awesome. Only exhibits we didn't see were the Planetarium (extra fee and got sold out by noon) and the one with the penguins(there was a show and it was crowded we couldn't get in). Can't wait to go back one day...

This aquarium/zoo/museum is absolutely stunning. I love the fact that much of the attractions are outside, and in open air enclosures where you can really observe the animals up close. This was one of our 8 year old child's favorite days in Bermuda. Must visit

  • 5/5 Ashh M. 3 years ago on Google
Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo may appear to be full of fish and animals but, it is so much more. In 2026, it will be 100 years old and is one of the oldest aquariums in the world! They go above and beyond offering classes, camps, and field trips for children. Aid in numerous science research projects, ocean conservation projects, internships and scholarships for college students, and so much more. Cost: Adult $10, Senior Citizen $5, Child $5, children 5 and under are free.

Been coming here since I was a little girl (when it was still called Atlantis). Itโ€™s become such a popular spot, with even more exhibits than when I first came. The staff is very friendly and informative. Itโ€™s also right on the water so it really adds to the aquatic theme. Had my sisterโ€™s first birthday here as well and it was magical! My all-time favorite aquarium/zoo, itโ€™s definitely worth a long trip from Queens because thereโ€™s great restaurants & wineries nearby as well.

Nice place to visit with a variety of marine life. Kids like the sea lion show and the penguins. Beautiful butterfly room and polite Crew. The annual membership is worth it if you're going to visit more than twice a year.

With ticket prices at $23 per person, a visit to the aquarium is a financial commitment. We are a family with three adults and one toddler, so this adventure cost us close to $100. Parking is free, which is nice. Aquariums are costly and even a small aquarium is better than no aquarium and that is why I give LIA three stars. The fish seem as happy as fish in tanks can be. There are not a lot of tanks, however. And the outdoor area seems to be grasping - there is a precious gem mining station, for example. My toddler liked it a lot, but what it has to do with fish was not clear to me. And the monkeys. Why are there monkeys? And there is the second shortcoming of the LIA. Besides being small, it is short on educational resources. The signs that introduce each tank and its occupants are short on meaningful information. We are in Washington, DC at least half the year, and so we have the Baltimore Aquarium, which is the same price and roughly four times the size. I really used to resent having to pay for parking, but that was before I had the LIA to compare it to.

Very cute aquarium. I visited during the pandemic. You reserve an entrance time online so thereโ€™s not too many people. They also have clearly marked directions for the flow of pedestrian traffic. The shark exhibit is very nice. The River otter was very active. The sea Lion show is very cute. Good place to spend an hour or two.

  • 3/5 Rabindra S. 3 years ago on Google
Felt bad about the small penguin enclosure. They also rehabilitate injured animals which is a big thumbs up. I think, zoos should be more like sanctuaries and less like exhibition centers.

  • 4/5 Heather L. 3 years ago on Google
Itโ€™s a cute little aquarium and when the weather is warmer and all the exhibits are open (and the pandemic slows down more), weโ€™ll probably go back. But itโ€™s still pandemic time and they really need to work on the safety measures here. The entrance was very crowded and there were no 6 foot markers or any staff member there to keep so many people from coming inside at once. Itโ€™s supposed to be reserved timed tickets and 25% capacity but it seemed like way more than that. There were arrows drawn all over the floors but not in a way that made sense and kept traffic flowing just in one direction, like the website said. At one point there were 3 different paths of arrows and we were so confused! We tried to stay away from other people but we still felt anxious being inside with so many people. I felt a bit duped because of the way the safety measures are described on the website and then seeing the reality of the situation. I really think they could be doing a better job of enforcing Covid safety protocols. Hopefully no one gets sick from going here.

I had some time to kill in Riverhead so spent 90 minutes at the aquarium. Well worth it. Its not a large place, but there is a lot to do. Love this aquarium but I donโ€™t get the point of reserving spots in advance because of covid when they just let a massive amount of people in anyway. It was just as crowded as it was before โ€œcovid restrictionsโ€ which was really disappointing because my baby is to small for a mask so we had to avoid a lot of the exhibits because it was packed with people

It has gotten really pricey, 10.00 for a pretzel and soda? 20.00 to have a digital picture taken with a seal? The bird section is closed. If it wasn't for the fact they allow you in for free for your birthday, it really isn't worth the money.

Extremely disappointed that you are required to wear a mask while outdoors here. Security was everywhere in the zoo on Sunday. Staff were not friendly. It was not a very inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Especially fun during fall and winter. And late fall and early winter or concerts and Christmas lights are pretty nice. Enjoyed the month of October activities and you can see many people getting into the spirit and dressing up. In addition to that people from Ohio Garrison come in in full costume from Star Wars. Lots of free treats for the kidos. As a zoo, they are pretty large and have quite a few nice exhibits even after all Covid has raviged everything.

Little to early for Zoo season yet as everything isn't up and running 100%. Pretty pricey compared to some of the bigger zoos we've been to before and during the plandemic. Would have been nice to know there was some construction going on with a few of the exibits: Kodiak Bears & Yaks I believe is correct. Got to see a couple of the animals open their easter eggs and enjoy their treats which was really nice. Over all the aquarium is nice, reptile building was cool, and the rest of the animal exhibits were easy to see.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. I hadn't been back since I was in middle school almost 25 years ago. What an amazing transformation and yet still very familiar. I had a blast with my family and will try to get back before another couple decades pass. What a great place to spend the day with loved ones and honestly it's so great maybe even a great place to walk around with enemies as there is so many cool exhibits to look at. Really recommend to anyone who has a few or more hours and is in the area.

It was an amazing day I must say. Relaxing, educational, inspiring. We had a wonderful tym seeing everything there & the guides that explain the exhibits r so very appreciated, helpful, kind. I luvd they were there to explain and make it more enjoyable to learn about each animal. I must say the tiniest seahorses I've ever seen there, were amazing too.. it's truly a wonderful zoo.. even in the rain.

  • 5/5 Bianca M. 8 months ago on Google
Pros: Up close experience with all kinds of animals. Large exhibits with lots of enrichment for the animals. Clean. A great empty inside view of the sealions that have so much fun swimming. Not many people in the aviary, but birds will literally fly over your head, and it's such an amazing experience. I highly recommend it. You can pay to feed giraffes (otherwise, they're pretty far away). Pollinators gardens were also pretty quiet (not busy) but BEAUTIFUL as well as the vegetable gardens. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable in their animals (ESPECIALLY the guy by the starfish tanks). Aquarium had very large windows and all kinds of different interactive tanks for children to get up close. The vultures absolutely loved showing off their large and impressive wingspan, lol. Baby gorilla loved rolling in front of the windows. Reptiles were closed unfortunately Cons: The people have absolutely no idea how to walk... they will shove and push, and their kids will run into yours. The bathrooms are almost always filled. Could use some more refreshments and food stand. Better signs and direction are needed, but everything's still findable. We can barely walk around in aquarium because of the visitor traffic.

A surprisingly decent sized zoo for one that isnโ€™t in a major city. This zoo has enough exhibits to see all the plants and animals youโ€™d look for. I have never been to a better zoo. All animal are very close, cages clean and well maintained. Employees ate friendly food is good, but a little expensive. However it was a great experience for the whole family ages 2 to 62 years old.

Had a wonderful time at the zoo. Varieties of animals, nice exhibits, lot many ones for children to enjoy. Concession stands all available in the same area instead of scattered across the zoo. Pumpkin carvings, inflatables, play areas, it was all fun!

Had an amazing time! There was barely anyone there, which made the trip even better. We went on a Thur (end of September). We got there very late in the day so we didn't have enough time to see the Penguins or Aquarium. However, most of the animals were out, so it was worth it. (Besides the main Gorilla. Sad we didn't get to see him).

Highly recommend going to The Lights Before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo. It's been a few years since we last went. There are .ore lights than our last visit. The cost for the event helps the zoo. The barnyard area is a big hit for families, and some of the buildings are open to go through and warm up.

Went to see Lights Before Christmas. If you enter to park at the Anthony Wayne Trail lot your wait to get in to park could be 10 min to 30 min depending on the time you go. They are working on that for the future. To get in to the actual Zoo is no wait to maybe 5 min. Again depending on the time. But ANY WAIT IS SO WORTH IT!!! IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING & KEEPS GETTING BETTER EACH YEAR! The best thing to do is be a Zoo Member. I've been a Zoo Member about 40 years. Yes this Zoo is worth the membership, with so many activities all year long, & employees are so helpful & friendly. The pics are just one item at the zoo.

We love the zoo! It's close to our house, and we have a membership. I highly recommend getting one. The zoo has plenty of special events throughout the year, but the Lights Before Christmas is an absolute must. The work they've put into the new exhibits and renovations is amazing. A few of our favorite attractions...Nature's Neighborhood and the Splash Pad for the kiddos...The Natural History Museum (my favorite)....The Aquarium...The Aviary...the Giraffe feeding...and all the animals of course! I would love to give it 5 stars, but the prices are so high. Also, they no longer allow outside food or drinks. Real bummer. Still a season ticket makes it all worthwhile.
