23rd March. Had a lovely family day out. Children loved it. Enough to see and do. I only gave it 4 star as the food vendors were shut and some general maintenance was on going. Accepted as this is still not in season. 1st April _ 31 October you will have to pay for car parking. 4hrs was about £6. Place was very clean. Toilets were spotless. Good range of animals. There were no feeding times on the display but lions were fed about 14:20. Highly recommended. May be very busy in summer though. Price is on par.

Medium sized zoo ,many different animals and birds to see .There is a cafe you can eat ice cream and drink coffee and eat sausage in dough .Also were during the day and very nice and sunny place ..There is free parking and the ticket costs around 16 or 14 Pounds exactly I don't remember how much. I recommend to go there with the kids. Oh ... by the way, there is a gift shop there.🙂

Fantastic Zoo to visit. My husband took me there whilst we were in Newquay for the weekend in May 2022. Well worth the money. Loved advance tickets are cheaper on their website, so we brought them the day before. Lovely weather. So many species of all varieties we saw. We spent 2/3 hours walking around taking everything in. Highly recommended regardless your age.

Stunning zoo, staff are really nice to talk to and the animals seem to be very happy here. Not badly priced either compared to other zoo's. Not alot of parking I must say, but overall really well planned out day.

We visited this Zoo as we were holidaying in St Ives. The Zoo is wonderful. There are lots of great animals on display who are very well looked after. The grounds are well kept and it looks like there has been a lot of work done recently. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a small cafe and shop on site, which sell reasonably priced items. The cafe has a wide range of food, drinks and snacks. There was also another hut by the Penguins, which was shut when we visited. There are plenty of picnic benches around and I can imagine it to be very busy during peak times. The paths are all smooth and well kept, making pushing a buggy/wheelchair around a breeze. There is a lovely play area by the meerkat and another larger park for over 6s by the African Savannah. A Special shout out to Rhiann, who was one of the keepers, she was absolutely incredible! She did all the talks and was very informative. She also took the time to engage with my 3 year old son, who took an interest in what she was talking about - she was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals and she made our visit extra special - Thank You !!! ♡ We are Bristol Zoo Project members and were able to visit this Zoo using our membership - which was a very good perk! We will definitely have another visit in the warmer months to see the animals in different weather.

We visited as we were passing by and we have zoo membership for another zoo, so we were able to go for free. Overall it was a good visit, but I'm glad it was free for us to visit as we had done the whole zoo in an hour. All the animals seem well looked after and the staff were very friendly.

It was fun going to the zoo.. For me as an adult.. I loved it.. But some of the animals are kept inside their closure because of too cold... which I understand...

This is during COVID 19, so a lot of blocked off stuff. However I respect their efforts during these times. I did have a great time still and will be coming back next year ^^

Lincoln Park Zoo was fantastic at social distancing, clean & sanitized bathrooms, crowd control. Lots of animals in the outside enclosures for viewing. Vending machines only take cash though. There were outdoor food vendors sporadically placed. Plenty of benches, tables, outdoor areas for snacks & breaks. It was easy to reserve the free tickets on event brite.

This is a small zoo but a great place to send a few hours. The Penguins are so entertaining and lots of other animals to see. The only bit of negativity is that the Lion enclosure doesn't seem big enough to house these beautiful creatures. Although I am certainly no expert on Lions. The animals appear to be very well looked after and the staff seem to enjoy their jobs. There is ample parking and refreshments available once in the zoo. All in all well worth a visit and in doing so helping to look after the inmates. Newquay Zoo - 5 stars from me.

Love the Seneca Park Zoo! I always have a wonderful time and this is my second year of having the zoo membership. I am always grateful I can drive less then 30 minutes and see beautiful exotic animals. Yes, the zoo is smaller than others but, it very clean and animals are healthy/ well cared for. The zoo also has special events like the Zoo Brew for adult time and a bunch more the options. Definitely worth the time and money.

Love the zoo although small it had plenty to look at. Animals looked well and healthy. My only negative thought was the Lion enclosure was too small to house 2 female and 1 main cat. As much as you get to see these magnificent beasts there isnt any room to run. Over all its a lovely little zoo just big enough for little visitors.

Two of us had a very pleasant time in the Zoo, We spent roughly 2 hours walking around at a leisurely pace and managed to see almost all of the Animals ( Apart from the fishing cat) that seemed to be hiding away. Plenty of stations to Sanitise your hands and a few areas to wash and dry them too which was great. The tropical house is still closed due to the pandemic which is understandable. The penguins are very entertaining and cute along with the meerkats. The highlight for me were the Visayan Warty pigs coming all the way from the Philippines I would happily recommend this Zoo just remember it’s rather small so don’t expect too much be humble and you will enjoy your day.

Had a lovely day here today visiting the Zoo. All of the animals were out and about and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting them all and exploring. Bought a couple of Cornish pasties from an outlet for a mid-morning snack which were very nice. We were lucky enough to see the Lions playing either a football and being really energetic which was a treat! All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only thing I would say would be a good improvement would be to somehow include parking in your ticket price. Paid £28 for zoo tickets and then had to pay another £6 for parking which was a bit outrageous - otherwise fantastic day out!

Really enjoyed our visit despite some areas being secured off due to avian flu. Loved the tropical area. Good to see animals being rescued, cared for and allowed to breed. Very clean park and easily accessible. Helpful staff and enjoyed talks.

Today me and my mum went to visit Newquay zoo! It was absolutely phenomenal!! It was really amazing, lots of animals to see!! I loved it when I saw the zebras 🦓 and the snowy owls which made me really happy as I love those owls!! 🦉 It was lovely, lots of animals to see and a lovely gift shop selling various toys and there is two good cafes for food! It was brilliant I really enjoyed myself and so did my mum! It's not badly priced either so I'm glad we went on our last day of our little holiday! 🐋🐸🐢🐴🐷 Brilliant location!

Brilliant. Visited Monday 29th and had a penguin experience booked. My experience of our visit: Lady at ticket office friendly and delightful. Ladies in the cafe really, really good and the coffee was nice, the chips good but the chicken burger was excellent. Thankyou. The whole place was a delight, although improvement/renovations going on the whole site was clean and staff working with wheelbarrows etc very friendly. Public toilets were of an excellent standard. Thankyou. The lady in reception was superb and the young lady who took the experience was outstanding. I also spoke to a chap in a suit who was clearly in some form of meeting with two others by the Lynx compound and he also was a delight, very helpful. What a team. Whoever is cultivating this team ethic and environment needs congratulating along with the guys (described above) delivering it. A gem of a place.

Great zoo. Parking on-site. Even with Covid rules to follow the zoo was a lovely day out. All animals out and about.

Lovely zoo. Fairly compact however I see this as a bonus and this doesn't mean it lacks a great amount of animals at all! My 2 year old loves it! Feel it's good value for money. Parking can be done by an app and allows you to top up in case you stay longer than expected. Been a couple of times and would say visit is at least 2.5 hours to see everything

I had a hard time rating this one because the experience is great however they did not enforce social distancing at all. The place was not regularly cleaned and children were running everywhere smearing up the glass and just generally out of control. They instated timed entry which would give the appearance of crowd control but they failed miserable in this regard. I felt unsafe and feel like they could be in for a rude awakening if the virus is spread due to their experience.

Many animals were not in there enclosures at 1-3 pm visit. Didnt have a bad time but would have been nice to see more. They have a pretty good one way system and timed ticket starts to help keep guests apart during covid

We havent been to the zoo in a long while. And yesterday was a nice 38 degree January day with no snow! So we decided on a whim to take the kids. Due to covid we did reserve and purchase our tickets online. The zoo is on a one way in and out path system and I loved that. We got to see everything (the red pandas were very active and super cute!) We weren't rushed at all and it was a great day. Oh and we finally got to see the giraffes! Cant wait to go back already.

These animals are clearly MISERABLE and NEGLECTED. Their enclosures are way too small, the Tiger was going insane walking around in circles for hours and the Red Panda was doing it too. The Lion was howling like he was in distress the whole time we were there and clearly nobody at this zoo cares about these animals at all. It was miserable being here I wanted to cry. I would not support this Zoo, someone needs to take these animals away!

The zoo was smaller than we thought but our little one still had fun nonetheless! We came by at 11am so most animals were still sleeping, it was very clean and plenty picnic tables to rest and eat. There's little chickens walking about the zoo, so the little one followed it and so did we

So it's not the biggest zoo in the world so what! The quality and thought that these people give to the animals is nothing short of spectacular. Myself and partner had a great time, seeing many different species I've not seen in any previously visited zoo. Like mentioned the made habitats are made to the comfort of the animals before the pleasure of the public, really immersing you into different environments of the world. They also do some great international conservation work you, feel your money is really going to a good cause. Definitely worth the trip.

Nice little Zoo we visited while we were in Newquay. Brilliant layout, and easy access to all areas. Great for the adults and kids. Apart from the monkeys/chimps which weren't out when we visit, we got a nice close up to many of the animals avaliable.

We really enjoyed our visit to Newquay zoo. It’s a small zoo but the park is lovely and so well set out. All the animal looks well looked after and happy. Probably the nicest zoo I’ve ever visited. We had pizza in the restaurant at the end and it was really nice.

What an amazing little zoo! Was unsure what to expect when it was suggested we visit Newquay Zoo as I had heard some very mixed reports. I, however could not find one fault with the entire place. The animals all looked to be in great health and the enclosures were well maintained and seemed fit for purpose. There were various talks during the day and we were lucky enough to time it to see the lions and other animals eating their lunch. The lions were a particular favourite of mine and when we arrived the 3 of them were sat up high on their decked area - out of the way but still visible. About 30 minutes later they were down wandering around, play fighting, patrolling and uh, "being intimate". At one point we witnessed the male lion mark his territory through the fence... hitting a gentleman who was stood right in front of the "Spray Zone" sign. He was unimpressed but it pleased 20+ people who witnessed it. Haha. Price wise the zoo doesn't attempt the quick cash grab and has very reasonable prices. Parking is a stones throw away and the disabled bays are close to the entrance. The gift shop has the same pricing structure as many premium attractions but doesn't "ram" it down your throat, offering similar items at a lower cost also. Every staff member, from the woman on the gate to the man collecting bags of leaves was polite, happy and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Will definitely go again!

Was an amazing day out everyone was lovely and the zoo really felt like it was all about the animals very natural habitats with plenty of space for the vast variety of species there was lots to see and also the animals looked very happy where they live and appeared to be very looked after to a wonderful standard. Very clean and plenty of things for adults and children to do and see. Well maintained grounds and I must add that the lemur cafe did an outstanding pizza. I highly recommend spending some time I'm the zone called the gems of the jungle there are benches you can sit on and just listen and see a beautiful vast variety of birds from all around the world if that is something you might enjoy like we did very much so.

I don't normally like going to zoos, but this one is different it's all about conservation and saving animals. The animals are well looked after, and their homes are clean. I've never seen a sloth in reality before until I visited, and they have two, although I only managed to see one of them. They don't overcharge for food like other places. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Lovely zoo for a family day out. Lots to see and do. A map would have been handy as there were no maps around the zoo to use to see where you are. Meerkats are a personal favourite. Children enjoyed the play areas.

Great space. I am so sad for those animals but also glad they are where they are. I spoke to 4 members of the staff and everyone was so lovely, clearly caring with all their hearts for those wonderful creatures. Unfortunately, because I visited during winter a few of the species did not want to come out but that is Nature and the risk you take, not a reflection of the quality of the space. I do feel we need to get rid of that word “zoo”. Thanks for protecting some of the endangered species. There is one thing people with their egos must remember, this planet is NOT YOURS, It is THEIRS. It was before we cane around and it will be after we are all gone. I’d love to become a volunteer and offer a few hours on Saturday to prep and feed the animals while also learning about them all and how I can assist them in making their environment and lives even better. Very healing trip 🙏🏽 Edit: After showing interest in joining the team as a weekend volunteer, the coordinator Connor reached out. I'd say, be careful what you wish for. what a mess! Wasted 40 mins walk and back to hear he had gone, no responses to emails which is so disrespectful. I really hope you are more organised taking care of the animals than you are at the office. As such I have removed the 4 star rating down to a 3. wonderful animals though.

Absolutely loved it, quite busy but expected for a holiday. Such a nice zoo. The variety of animals was brilliant and there was so much to do for little kids and talks for people interested. I love animals and they all seem brilliantly cared for. We went when raining and there were loads of hiding spots for people and animals😂 The sloth was gorgeous but hard to spot!

Lovely day out for everyone. Zoo feels safe, set up well on a one way system for distancing. Toilets were clean. Food from the cafe was tasty and well priced. Only bugbear was that I didn't know there wasn't parking for the zoo - trying to find a space in a small public carpark and do so on time to still make pur booking slot was quite stressful, so keep that in mind if you're going.

Nice little Zoo, quite a few various birds and alot more lemurs than i thought existed. Took approximately 2hours on a slow walk round. Aviary's are particularly good. Lynx are pretty and they even have lions, though their enclosure wasn't that big. Whistling ducks are quite amusing, all in all a good time out.

Fab day at Newquay Zoo, everything felt clean and tidy with numerous hand sanitizers in the right places. The one system worked really well and meant we didn't miss anything 😊 we took our time going round and didn't feel crowded or rushed. Staff were dotted about and were very friendly 👍 Loved seeing all the animals and overall had a fab day out, thank you 😊

Nice zoo. Not bad at all. Smaller scale than some but brilliant for families with little children. Bit cold so some animals a bit stationary, but a good day out.

  • 5/5 Georgia R. 3 years ago on Google
We had the most amazing time at the zoo. Most animals were out and about so we were able to see them easily. The children loved it and they loved the little Tarzan course! The park looked great but we didn’t go on it as it was too busy. Had such an lovely time and it was worth travelling to have a day out here. Social distancing rules were in place so made everything much safer.

  • 4/5 Nick E. 3 years ago on Google
We visited and the zoo had put in lots of measures to keep everyone safe. There was hand sanitiser points at every exhibit, plus a one way system to control how you moved through the park, but with opportunities to go round areas again should you wish. More animals than i expected, and the highlight of the day was the Male lion marking his territory against the fence, and towards the watching crowd! There are warning signs about this, but have your camera ready and get £250 from YBF...

Disappointed visit to the zoo. Due to being December on our visit, many animals were tucked away keeping warm (I don't blame them!). However, paying the full price for 4 adults was pretty outrageous. Lesson learnt, only go to zoos in the summer.

  • 4/5 Steph O. 3 years ago on Google
OK, so this is a nice little zoo. Staff are friendly and they seem to do their best for the animals... Well, they can only work with what they're given to work with I guess. The place is clean and tidy, however the poor zebra and lions and linx. They have hardly no room to move about, especially considering they have to spend their lives in their. The enclosures are small (I have put pictures on here to see) the lions are not able to run, and there is 3 of them in here with a small/tiny inside area and no stimulation (my back garden is the same size as their enclosure, and it's by no means big). The zebra and wild buffalo have stables and the outside looks like its a small bit of concrete to 'spread their legs', it's a sad life for them. It said there was moneys, however I did not see them in their enclosure, inside or out... However, that being said, the other animals seemed to have quite abit of space, especially the otters which were very cute. It's not very expensive to get in here, maybe put the prices up a little and make the lion and other bigger animals enclosures a little bigger and more stimulating? Oh, the little pygmy coats were super cute and very friendly, even one of them come running over for a neck rub and stayed there for a while until I loved myself☺️ The team are fab, I'm sure they would like to be given abit more to improve the life of the animals, its clear they care about them just by watching how they interact.

Nice zoo and the animals look well cared for. Car park situation let's it down. The car park is for use for the college, and various other places. It's not well sign posted or very clear. I mentioned to the lady on the till when we arrived and she said it's not there car park, it's the councils and it should be OK. Just a simple sign saying you can park there would solve the issue.

Good place to bring your family during this pandemic just to have a breather. Social distancing is being practiced here, so be patient. When buying the tickets, they are sold in time slot. The aquarium is a bit on the smaller size, you can probably finish in 2 hours, unless you waited for all the shows and feeding. Some areas are outdoor, bring an umbrella or poncho if rain is expected. No on site parking. We parked on a residential street a block away. A bit pricey, you do get in for free a week prior and after your birthday.

We had an amazing time. My sons loved it. So did we. It was well organized given the state of things right now. The line to get in was long. But moved rather quickly. I do appreciate that they have discounts for veterans, like myself. Make sure you reserve your day and time slot before going. It's a great way to get the kids out of the house and enjoy the day. Perfect for day dates as well. I highly recommend anyone to check it out and have a nice time.

My kids had such a great time. They love animals and really enjoyed learning about the different fish, birds and butterflies. Everyone was responsible and wore masks at all times. Given the circumstances of covid, our new normal, we enjoyed ourselves. We went next door to eat @ Jerry and the Mermaid, the food was excellent!

Very cute aquarium. I visited during the pandemic. You reserve an entrance time online so there’s not too many people. They also have clearly marked directions for the flow of pedestrian traffic. The shark exhibit is very nice. The River otter was very active. The sea Lion show is very cute. Good place to spend an hour or two.

It's kind of small but it has a nice entrance. Over priced for a small ~ half hour worth of entertainment. Maybe an hour if you see EVERYTHING and enjoy it as much as you. Attended Zoo lights. Thank you LPZ for still making this happen. I wish they could have welcomed more people as the decorations are beautiful. At times I had the walking path to myself. Be aware you won't see any animals at night. Decorations were scaled down due to Covid but we still enjoyed it. I did buy the extra tickets for Snowy S'mores. I was confused as the ticket only is for admission to the fire pit not the s'more kit. I recommend the maze vs the enchanted forest. We did both.

  • 3/5 Jessi L. 3 years ago on Google
Well we are understanding that with Covid the indoor exhibits will be closed. What we didn't realize was there weren't going to be any animals at all. I have posted 16 pictures with is 1 of every single animal they had available to see. Including the ducks and seagulls. The big cats were not there because they are still under construction. ALL of the bears were gone. It wasn't what we expected. Even for a free zoo. We paid quite a bit for parking They could have said online that 3/4 of the animals were being kept inside with no way to see them. Had we known we would have went to Brookfield. We like Lincoln Park because it's the last free one and I love being able to donate which I do when I buy the tickets. I just wish they would have warned us. My daughters were ready to leave after 15 minutes of empty animal houses. Thankfully we chose a day that wasn't humid or we would have left without out seeing everything. Luckily they had the flamingos which was what my girls wanted most after the rest was empty. That's why we saved it for last or they would have wanted to leave after seeing them.

  • 5/5 Dustin 3 years ago on Google
I really like the zoo. I appreciate that it's free. They do a pretty good job here. It's not as expensive as some other issues, but it's a nice place to bring kids or to have a date. A real gem of the city. At the moment they're doing lots of construction, but that's a good thing. They're keeping the zoo in good condition.

No chance to get to Christmas Lights neither at Lincoln Zoo nor at Botanic Garden in time of COVID 19. But just to be there, take a walk around, chat with a strangers, patting the dogs & exchange couple wards with their owners, all of this gave a windows to the normal life, to the community, to feel yourself as a part of this wonderful town & it's community.

  • 4/5 Caitlin S. 3 years ago on Google
First time visiting and was kind of disappointed. All the buildings were closed (reptile, primate, etc.) and there was a lot of construction. Because of this you weren’t able to see very many animals. I thought the arrows painted along the ground and various fences showing the correct walking paths were wonderful to keep people distanced but also made for extra walking and it was harder to get to/find exhibits. I appreciate their efforts during COVID. Good for a visit if your have an extra hour and are searching for something FREE to do.

  • 3/5 Brenda B. 3 years ago on Google
Love this zoo, but we were very rushed through it. We could only get a 9pm reservation and the zoo closed at 10pm so we missed out on a few things because we didnt have the additional tickets and the gift shop was closed so we couldnt purchase them.. still a beautiful place to visit. And we will go back when its warmer and we can see the animals

  • 5/5 Holden W. 3 years ago on Google
Enjoyed my time at the zoo, even though I had to wear my mask. It also sucked that we couldn't go into the buildings but safety first! Also, they are rebuilding the lion house, which is awesome! Can't wait to see it when it's done!!!

This is a place that I wish we had more time to explore! It's a aquarium, planetarium, and science museum all in one place. I heard the Steinhart Aquarium is better than the Aquarium of the Bay, so we decided to go here our last day in San Francisco. Pro tip: You can get a discount if you took public transit. Also you will want to get tickets (they're free) for any Planetarium shows you want to see when you first arrive, as they can run out. I think you could easily explore this place from the time they open until close! They have Night hours on Thursday nights, but you'll want to buy those tickets in advance. One of my favorite things was the Rainforest Exhibit with butterflies flying all around you.

Went to the zoo to see the Christmas lights and they were beautiful! Didn’t see any animals though! There was a beautiful area to sit on the top floor at one of the building full of lights above the seating area, but they did have a $3 entrance charge which was kind of inconvenient! The parking for 31 minutes to 2 hours was $20. Overall it was an ok experience, too many fees here and there, and not much to do besides walking around to see the lights.

Zoo Lights on NYE!! I guess you can't expect much when you pay $20 for a family of four but I'd rather pay more and get more then to visit this again. It could've been more lights and maybe a light show to the beat of music. The kids were bored and ready to leave before it was over. For NYE to make it an actual event maybe they can add fireworks or fill in the much empty space with more lights.

The Animals always look happy and well taken care of and the exhibits are nicely sized for the Animals. It's very easy to access the zoo from any point in the Rochester area it's right off the 104 expressway if you drive or the number 35 RTS bus route stops right at the entrance to the zoo if you take public transit. My favorite area Is the new animals of the savanna exhibit a must see exhibit if you go the Seneca Park zoo. When in upstate New York I would also reccmond the Buffalo Zoo as well

I was at this zoo yesterday and I was really impressed. They had a lot of animals for a small city zoo. The layout was really good and easy to navigate. We were able to talk to the zookeepers about some of the different animals and they were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There is a really large play area for kids when you walk in and then a few other things for them to play on throughout. You get to actually get really close to all the animals which I’ve never experienced before. And they have a little building where you can order food and drinks I think it was called the Eagles Landing. It was great and I had an amazing time there! Will definitely be back.

Terrible living sanctuaries for wild animals! The pythons are too big for their small glass enclosures and the wildcats can't roam free around the empty fenced in land! How could the employees blindly support this company even after watching day by day neglect! This angers me and I bet it'd upset plenty of wildlife rescue organizations as well! When will the captivity of wild animal's become more safe and comfortable for the animals themselves! They deserve better! And I hope to find these neglected animals a new home, somewhere preferably closer to their natural habitat and climate, UNLIKE THE COLD STATE OF NEW YORK.

Lovely place, chilled out atmosphere. Friendly staff, lovely girl giving talks at some of the animal enclosures, we saw her at Lions, and Otters. She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Plenty places to sit and eat toured own food, there was also a cafe if you didn't bring any. There is a park to amuse the children. Be prepared to pay to pay next to the zoo in public car park, as they do not jabbed their own parking. Great day out, bet reasonable price. All in the name of animal conservation and breeding, such a fab cause. We stayed all day, and had plenty time to go round to see our favourites again. Recommended.

Lovely zoo. Very well kept and lots of interactive stuff. Beautiful place as well. Parking can be a touch tricky and is a struggle for buggies if you have to go to the top of the car park. Food in the cafe was great as well.

Really enjoyed our visit here Allow 3 hours to get around all the exhibits. Make sure you dont miss the tropical house and the bird aviary. Red Pandas and otters are very popular. The warnings about the lions spraying SHOULD be heeded!

Such a lovely zoo, I loved that the animals all had a lovely space and there was such a great variety! So many adorable animals 😍

Very lovely Zoo, smaller than we thought it would be but some great hours of fun! We had booked a 10 O'clock slot to get in to the Zoo, the toilets are directly to the right as you go in and everytime I visited it was always clean and full of toilet roll which is fantastic. On the right hand side you have the cheeky Monkeys which are so adorable! Following the route you can see some incredible animals! My favourite being the Red Panda!! We think because we got there so early the animals were either hiding or sleepy, we went around the zoo a second time after lunch and the animals were a lot more active, the Red Pandas were running around on the ground and climbing the trees it was wonderful to see. There are a couple of places to eat which is great, there is a cafe as soon as you go in the entrance which had sandwiches, jacket potatoes, pasties and bacon cobs etc and there is another stall around the zoo which does pasties and ice creams. There are lots of different types of animals to see. With Newquay Zoo being in the same franchise as the Paignton Zoo we thought they might be on par with each other but we got our hopes up too much as Newquay is a lot smaller but it was still a great day out for 4-5 hours

Lovely little zoo carrying out great conservation and educational work. All animals apparently well cared for and very healthy-looking.

This is a really nice little zoo with a nice selection of animals and a petting area along with play equipment for little ones. Although was a little disappointed considering the price that you can get round it in an hour. There are mobility scooters available for hire and it is mostly accessible.

As far as zoos go, this was well run, the animals were well looked after and the enclosures were generally of a good size. It was great to see the tapir swimming and the otters taking twigs into their sleeping area. Felt a little more like natural habitat. Would recommend for a family day trip!

Previous to my visit I had not done any research or planned in advance, but whilst staying in the area on a short break holiday. I wanted to visit the zoo as it was not that far from my hotel. I knew you had a pre-book due to COVID and thus I booked on the day. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend people to visit while in the area, as it caters for all ages and was pleasantly surprised the variety of animals, birds and reptiles this zoo had for a small zoo. There were plenty of opportunity to take photos, speak to the staff and you never felt that you were rushed. There is a small gift shop within the grounds.

What a wonderful experience at the zoo! We got really close to some animals. An absolutely amazing experience seeing the lions right next to the window. Also the monkeys right there, the glass windows are such an amazing thing to have as it gives you a feeling of being quite close to them. My toddler absolutely enjoyed himself. We spent about 3 hours to go over the zoo. We were a bit disappointed with the farm as there was not much to do but overall a wonderful experience with my toddler.

We had a lovely time at the zoo and enjoyed seeing all the animals including the Lions and penguins. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a picnic or food from the onsite cafe. We were hoping to return but the return tickets have now been removed so you pay just over £30 for one adult & one child which probably couldn't feed a lion for 5 minutes so its relative. The general space and animals made for a great time out the house. If local go for a pass if not local go just to enjoy and watch the kids faces it really was lots of fun. Big car park on site as well theres other things to do in the area.

Newquay zoo! No less than amazing, a great day out, friendly staff, clean and tidy environment and above all the animals all looked so well treated. The kids paid alot of attention and my 5 year old son really enjoyed reading the info tags about the animals. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again.

Was one of the best Zoo's I have been to. The animals looked genuinely content and well cared for. Also the information provided for each animal as to the level of endangerment was so educational.

Great family day out in Newquay. I have visited 3 times now with my family over the years and the kids love it. There is a great variety of animals and it is really relaxing to walk round the zoo. There are the usual kiosks for ice cream and coffere etc dotted around. In relation to time spent I would day 3-4 hours is enough time to see everything properly. The lion feeding talk was really good and you realise how big the animals are when they are let out to feed. Also I recommend booking ahead online as it guarantees entry and is cheaper than paying at the gate.

I had an amazing time at this zoo, not having to wait long in the queue since the staff let me in quick with my advance booking! There are many animals on display in their natural outdoor habitats, including deer's, tapirs, owls and many more. I found the lions to be the highlight since not only are they gigantic, but a talk was also given about their lifestyle! More animals are shown in traditional water environments like otters and penguins, also boards are up about the history of the zoo that interestingly coincides with other events.

Really nice zoo, big selection of animals in what looks like well kept enclosures. Food in the cafe was okay and they have a small park for children to play in with multiple areas for sitting. Be aware that you have to pay for parking.

We have membership to our local zoo, which offers one free visit to Newquay zoo, we had to pay for one extra adult. Lovely little zoo, variety of animals, well layed out. With play areas and trails. 4 yr old really enjoyed it, is easy for little legs to walk around. Covered picnic area, with roaming peacocks. Look up in the tree for the red panda. The tropical house has a free roaming sloth. I like how the animals share enclosures, monkeys and lemurs are in islands, with birds and mammals on the water/land. We stayed for 4 hours, walked around a couple of times and had a picnic lunch. I think you would struggle to stay all day, we are used to a larger zoo. Car parking is at a council car park just a few minutes away, which is chargeable.

Loved it, spent just over 5 hours there including a lovely bite to eat in the Lemur Cafe. Happy with admission price, lots of animals, talks and feeding times.

So much to see including penguins, meerkats as well as a Tropical Centre. A relaxing environment, with all facilities available, including for disabled. A picnic area with a cafe is located near the penguins.

Lovely zoo. Although seeing the penguins , made me sad. I've been to numerous zoos all over and the penguins are usually happy and all over the place. Newquays, however, didn't have decent water or water level in my opinion, so the penguins looked bored. All in all, it's a nice couple of hours walking around with the family.

Cute little zoo, kids 8 and 10 enjoyed walking round, reading the facts and finding the animals if they were camouflaged. One to visit if you're on holiday and wanting to find something to do with the kids. Only thing that let the place down sadly were the adults smoking within the grounds, really that desperate for a puff you can't wait a couple of hours whilst you walk around with your kids.

Great little Zoo, easy to find, decent carpark. Lovely animals to see, easy to walk around, plenty of benches to sit and have lunch. Cafe lemur is great, lovely staff and excellent food. Can’t wait to visit again!

During the summer holidays kids can visit free with a paying adult, so we met up with some friends here for a cheap day out. Great for keeping the kids entertained for a few hours but get there early as the queue grows very quickly; I would recommend booking tickets online before you visit. There's also a huge car park outside so easily accessible and the cafe is very reasonably priced but gets very busy.

  • 5/5 Tippers P. 8 months ago on Google
It's fairly small, but for us that made it a convenient afternoon visit. You could spend longer than we did because there's some lovely animals to see who all look really well cared for. Worth a visit.

Great morning or afternoon. Doesn't fill the whole day which was disappointing. The zoo moved its larger animals so no lions elephants or giraffes. Very nice though. Clean and tidy. Kids play area. Lots of picnic tables. We enjoyed the walk around the birds section. They fly around you. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely Zoo, it took about 3 hours (including stopping for lunch). Also it is best to get early as there is only a small council car park to park in.

This summer kids went free, making this a great value day out. The zoo has a great variety of animals, there weren’t any we couldn’t see. The zoo wasn’t overly busy for a summer holiday weekday either.

Lots of animals, clean, tidy, all within walking distance. The cafe served good food with friendly staff.

It was OK. I would normally avoid the summer, but the grandkids were over and with the kids go free offer, a bit cheaper. I wasn’t expecting much and I got what I expected. It’s very heavy on birds and lizards. Empty enclosures and even where there was supposed to be something it was hiding. Not the greatest zoo, but the only one in the county … it could use some more animals . The lion died a while back, so they stuck a couple of birds in the cage. Not that I would want to see a lion caged up anyway. It’s well run and informative, but temper your expectations

Cute zoo, lots of opportunities to get close to the animals. A decent variety of smaller zoo animals, spread over a wide variety of enclosure types. Looks as though it has been invested in wisely over the last few years since our last visit, most places looking fresh and smart. Would I say it is good value if I had to pay for the kids, probably not... but £30 ish for: wife, 2 children and I, felt about right tbh. Maybe the zoo would get better revenue going forward if they priced it more in that region, more returning customers for sure.

It was a good zoo great to kill a morning or afternoon. There is plenty to see and do great for a family day out. We did struggle to read the map but the staff were super friendly and helped get us where we needed to be. My son (19 months old) had a blast and there was plenty for him to see and do. If we come back to Newquay we will come back to the zoo. Reasonably priced for what's there.

Great place to visit with the family or friends, lots to see, and plenty of talks and information around the zoo about everything. Parking was easy, and access for disabled people was also good. The price seemed fair and wasn't overpriced like some other places in the area. It took us around 3 hours to get around, but you could spend more time if you want to see more talks. There is a small cafe with various drinks and snacks and also a gift shop, worth a visit if in the area.

Not a very big zoo but still had an enjoyable few hours there with family and grandchildren ages ranging from 7mths to 11yrs. Food is lovely and reasonably priced too with a good selection.

My boy did the Red Panda experience it was amazing, the young zookeeper that took him and his mum in was fantastic with him and gave loads of information. The zoo is amazing but couldn't recommend the experiences enough

👍👍 Porth Beach is a lovely beach. There are cafe's & a pub very close by, also some toilets. Very limited parking on the street nearby & also a few spaces to park on the beach, although be careful if the tide is coming in as it can cover some of the parking area. There is also a pay & display car park...
