Very pleasant Oasis close to Catania (15 minute drive from the center via SS) just after the Playa. The place appears new and well looked after. After the entrance on the road, you will find a car park that is not very large but capable of accommodating a good number of people. The structure has a refreshment area with tables and separate waste collection, clean bathrooms and automatic coffee and snack machines. Through the paths, which can be followed either on foot or by bike, you can reach two observation points for birdwatching (a lake and a point with a camouflage wooden hut that runs along the Simeto). The only complaint is not for the structure nor for the maintenance but for the users: the hut and other parts were victims of fires and therefore temporarily unusable. If you want to visit the mouth of the Simeto, you need to follow the signs for Primosole beach.

ATTENZIONE: se volete visitare la foce, dove impostare su Google Maps come destinazione "Primosole beach" e posteggiare prima del cancello. La zona segnata su Google Maps come "Oasi del Simeto" è quella dove invece si possono fare piacevoli passeggiate a piedi e in bici, oltre al birdwatching dalle apposite vedette.

Un vero peccato , perché il posto potrebbe essere paradisiaco , però presenta tutti i disagi che possa lasciare l'essere umano.. La spiaggia è piena di plastica , l'acqua torbida ma non sporchissima .. Per raggiungere la zona balneare dovete seguire le indicazioni per il Villaggio Primosole (NON PER L'OASI DEL SIMETO!) , arrivati davanti al cancello del villaggio dovete parcheggiare e seguire un sentiero che si trova sulla destra , che vi porterà alla spiaggia.. Dò comunque 4 stelle perché con un po' di manutenzione e il solito buonsenso delle persone potrebbe essere davvero un fiore all'occhiello di Catania.. Nelle foto potete vedere la spiaggetta che si trova procedendo sulla sinistra quando arrivate alla spiaggia , è circondata da massi ma è riservata e il mare è migliore .. Nelle altre foto alcuni degli aspetti negativi del posto.
