Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line to get in. Was pretty crowed but the animals were out and about especially the monkeys. They were putting on a show today 😁😁🤣. Enjoyed this zoo and me and my family will definitely visit again manly because we spent 4hrs there and didn't even explore the whole zoo...sheesh

This was our second trip to the zoo since moving here. First time was a let down because there was trash in most of the exhibits and over half did not have animals. This time we went for the Bug Extravaganza. That part was cool, but there were even less animals in the exhibits and still trash in many of the exhibits. Sea lions glass were still filthy and hard to see through.

We came to visit our family and decided to try the zoo, since there’s not very many things to do here in El paso with little kids, we thought it was going to be great and memorable for the kids. Before coming saw very many good reviews, but once we got there to our surprise the place was very run down, dirty, some exhibits were empty , you could tell the animals were very neglected, the windows were dirty and some of them foggy you couldn’t see the exhibits, the water in the sea lions’ tank was a nasty green color you could barely see the poor animal there swimming in nasty green water. The very few stations with hand sanitizer were empty, everything costs money, there’s very few concessions places so you might get hungry during the trip, be prepared and better pack your own snacks! The only good thing is that there’s lots of shade and the playground area is very fun for little kids. They need to do something, this place has lots of potential, they just have neglected it so much!

Nice size zoo. It’s a little hot in June (what else is new…) but there is plenty of shade. We saw quite a few animals including the Red River Hog which was new to us. Make time for the special activities (including the giraffe feeding which is only $3) Great place to spend a couple of hours.

The El Paso Zoo is a fun place for kids and adults. New exhibits are being worked on. It could use some sprucing up in places. Some equipment was showing its age and needs replaced. The animals were well taken care of and appeared in their enclosures as at some larger zoos I've visited. Families were enjoying the place getting wet in the fountain pad area. Also many were boarding the miniature train that circled the zoo. We spent 2 hours roaming around.

Carousel is very fun. Got to see cute cats when we went. Nice little park for kids, and ropes coarse as well. Overall, 10/10 Took lots of pictures. Met an adorable kitten in the cat adoption center, who slept on my lap. Amazing.

Went early midday on a Saturday. We had to get in line to buy tickets but it took 3 minutes to go in. The prices are not bad at all. I was expecting it to be little more expensive. Although, it was somewhat packed, it was comfortable to walk around and take pictures. To walk the whole zoo took us about 2 hours. A considerable amount of exhibits were not active/animals not in. However, we enjoyed our afternoon. When finalizing around 3 PM, the zoo was very crowded and hard to walk by.

Great place. I went with friends on a Friday and it was a great experience. Animals with a great care, amazing show with the Sea Lions. Will definitely recommend ❤️

This zoo has many animals to see. From zebras to birds and many more. This zoo is big, you can send here easily from 1-3 hours depending the activities you choose. They also have a train that can take you throughout the zoo to see the animals. There is a gift shop available to buy things and souvenirs for yourself as a memory. This is a great place for any age and any person who wants to see animals.

I was more excited than my daughter to come back to the zoo, i left disappointed. Yeah they have some "new small details" they put in. But half of the zoo is temporary closed. Its a shame.

The giraffe looks lonely and need more shade in his area, the zoo was nice but the giraffe looked like he wanted to get out was looking around for somewhere to lay down because of the heat.

Great little zoo. We go every few weeks. Bathrooms are always clean. Thankful we can bring our own food and drinks. I appreciate the zoo opening back up, and trying to keep us safe with mask wearing. Sadly my boys were the only kids with masks at the splash pad.

Even though it isn't a big zoo with more animals but my kids loved it and they enjoyed everything that they saw and they loved the play ground that it has where they can enjoy after seeing the animals and where the parents can relax too. They even want to go back and enjoy everything again. Would definitely go back.

We moved to El Paso three years ago and we became members of the zoo immediately. It's very well maintained and so much fun to go. It's really hot in the summer, so springtime and fall are the best times to visit. The place is bigger than it looks too. Highly recommend.👍👍

Pretty neat exhibits, based on what was open. A lot of the exhibits were closed or under construction so minus one star for that. If you have kids I recommend going to the left when you enter the zoo. That way at the end of your tour when everyone is hot and exhausted the kids can play in the splash pad and the kiddy park which has lots of places to explore, shade, and some pretty cool slides.

As a family we frequent the zoo almost monthly. This zoo is very well kept and the staff is friendly. I really enjoy the meet the trainer shows that they put on daily. There is a new exhibit that is being built and I am excited to see the new animals. The zoo isn't too big nor is it too small. It takes about 3 hours to walk through. They also have a splash pad open during the summer and a huge playground for kids. Definitely a place to visit if you are in town and want to enjoy yourself. It is close to the highway and about 3 minutes to I-10.

We went to zoo lights on the last weekend it was available and while the line was pretty long I enjoyed the experience. My daughters (4 & 2) had a little bit of a hard time with the wait to get in but once in they loved the lights and were glad to be there. It is a little tough to not see actual animals and for the kids to stay in the car because they do want to walk around and not be stuck inside, but overall I think they did a great job creating a family experience that they will be remembered and the price wasn’t bad considering it would cost more if it had been a regular zoo lights trip. We were even late for our time slot and they let us in no problems. Thank you for some holiday cheer during a very difficult year, we loved it!

El Paso is lucky to have such a great zoo! Be sure to get a map or download it before you go. The daily schedule is posted close to the the Americas part of the zoo. Lots of info on the website but it may not be up-to-date so check out the posted schedule or ask. You can bring snacks in a cooler, wagons or strollers, and bags with extra clothes (kids will want to do the splash pad in the summer!) and sunscreen. Great way to spend a few hours. There's a playground, splash pad, and carousel as well as many exhibits and possibly kittens to adopt. Lots to do at the El Paso Zoo! 🙌

Our visit started off nice but because of the attitude of the staff our visit was no fun. They have really let the place go. We have visited many time over the past 10 years and it was always nice even when we went and there wasn’t as many animals we didn’t mind because everyone was friendly but this is no longer the case. There was a employee she was tall, thin black hair with a bob. She had the worst attitude. She yelled at guests. She ruined a video a young couple was trying to make of there daughter because she ran in font of them to yell at someone else. I heard another employee yelling from across the park at another kid. Im not being dramatic either this employee was extremely angry and yelling. The employees need to understand that they will be dealing with a lot of kids and if they don’t have the proper training then maybe this is not the job for them. Having a stranger yell at a little kid is quite terrifying. Especially when they go there to have fun. I understand that kids cannot be climbing and jumping around on certain things but there’s a way to tell them without yelling at them. If anyone had done that to my kids I would’ve definitely had a problem.

I love this zoo, they have a lot of different fun activities and you can learn at the same time, it's definitely for all ages. Prepare your self for a little walking and if you go on summer take precautions, it can get pretty hot. Personally, I think they should change the first informative poster on the Chihuahuan desert, I don't believe an ecosystem is a backyard and I think is offensive since most of the Chihuahuan Desert is in Mexico.

Great zoo, awesome park inside and splash pad. Was a bit disappointed at price and how many sections had no animals. But otherwise enjoyed the rest and kids had a great time, also note hours are shorter on some days. Was kinda lame to get kicked out, but the weekend is probably a better time to go if you want to stay longer.

Not the greatest zoo but worth the admission fee. A few closed exhibits and missing animals but it's design is really cool and immersive. There's a big play park and giant slide for kids. Food is good and not crazy expensive (regular food not the dipping dots). Staff are friendly. Good selection of animals

I love zoos! We have a generally clean and fun zoo right here in El Paso. I like the children's programs and the involvement of the zoo in our community as well. I don't like that almost a quarter of the exhibits were vacant. Still a great place to visit and spend time.

Great zoo, we have a good time every time we go!! Some exhibits are closed and sometimes it’s too cold for some animals (giraffes) to be out, but there’s always plenty to see!

Great zoo for the desert. A lot of animals were out and not hidden. The playground/splash pad is so much fun for the kids. Only complaint is that it was hard to find some dippin dots (if you know you know!) which are almost a must when you go to a zoo in the heat!

I spent over 2 hours here. There was lots of animals, beautiful plants, lots of signage to read. It was a great environment, and lots to see and do. Prices were not bad either. Would definitely go again. I liked the different continent zones and themes going too.

We've always love the zoo! There are so many new things for kids of all ages! For a smaller city zoo, the attention to detail and the engagement activities for visitors is really incredible. Plus, the zoo is part of a conservation program that helps endangered species! And if you buy an annual membership, it's even better because you can bring a friend with every visit! So it's a win win!

We had such a fun time at the El Paso Zoo. It was very calm and relaxing. We saw all of the animals. The zoo has restaurants and stores to buy drinks and food from but it is very expensive. I paid four bucks for a small water. The exhibits were nice and the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Very family friendly! I have been here several times. And each time the family loved it, the place never gets boring since there is something new each and every time you go back. BUT! In the winter time it can be very very cold! There's also no water fountains turned on because of the winter. So make sure to bring water and things to keep you warm, or you will have kids bugging you about how cold they are. BUSY! At times especially mid-day Saturday the place can get busy. So play it smart when coming or you will end up having no parking.

The Oregon Zoo is located on Canyon Rd. In Portland, Oregon right next to the Max line and in the same parking lot as The Children's Museum. They have so much to do all year around. I frequent the zoo at least one time a year, during the summer months and every year I attend the zoo lights at Christmas. So if you've never seen the Zoo at the holiday season...its a must see! Its a good idea to check the website for all events and listings for their hours of operation as they may change frequently per season! I give The Oregon Zoo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for such fantastic events and organization of blending all the holiday events so beautifully. The Zoo is very clean, and all the animals are cared for so well. There is always something to do if you are looking for entertainment for the whole family! I know that my autistic son just loved to come to the zoo no matter what time of year, and he was not an easy child to please at times. It wore down some of the energy he had been storing up over the colder seasons too! Please remember to check the website for pricing and incidentals before you go... those looking to stay within a budget, can find coupons for buy one, get one free and discounted admissions on the website and in the Oregonian Newspaper. Local businesses like to promote and support each other by offering discounts to senior citizens and students as well! Be safe & have fun! 😉

I do love supporting this business. Having a Zoo nearby is a wonderful. I have visited many a times over the past several years. My last visit was 4 days ago, during the pandemic. All carts and drinks were closed. Construction was heavily underway. We were guided by several employees to go this way or that, wear a mask, one way only, no re entry. They are following the COVID regulations. So, the walk through was lacking crowds, but we still kind of hurried along, so as not to make other parties wait. There are many things to do here, under normal circumstances. I enjoy all the gatherings and attractions they have. Right now, you come to see animals only, cutting your normal trip time in half. I miss the ability to meander, drink, eat and play. Dang you, COVID!

I have been to more zoos around this country and the Oregon zoo is very expensive for what you get to see. The value is just not there. It is a smaller zoo that sits on the side of the hills that are to the west of Portland. When we went we paid full price and half the exhibits were closed or empty. Food was also a horrible experience and once again, EXPENSIVE.

In 2014 I would have given it 3 stars. It was bland, not too special or eye catching. Just a basic average zoo. Now, they are adding new equipment for the kids, new animals, new shows and buildings, the artwork is fantastic throughout, and it is really a pltgay I've seen grow into a beautiful zoo that is something to be proud of. Great fun

The day we went only half of the animals were out. I have been to many zoos over the years, both here in the U.S. and in other countries and it was I we expected for a city this size. Not that the animals weren't maintained but unfortunately there is a lack of resources and income available to this zoo. The educational exhibits seemed outdated and were mostly pin up posters. I was unable to see through the glass viewing areas for the sea life due to residual water build up on both sides of viewing area. I will return when warmer and hopefully things are a little better. Glad that they have a military discount and the membership seems reasonable. Hopefully once Pandemic/Epidemic/Endemic is better controlled, weather warms up and influx of income and resources are available it will be better.

Friendly staff and the price reasonable. The zoo isn't very large but exhibit are well place and cared for. It looks as if they or doing some expansion and adding. It's a nice and fun place to take the family or date. There are some shows to attend while there as well. Take a ride on the train and even get a splash . If not from the area Google will probably take you around back and you will be lost and confused. Stay on paisano

Even with a lot of stuff closed down due to Covid, there's plenty to see. The animals all look healthy and happy and the park itself is clean. Admission price is reasonable and the family pass will be worth it once things are able to open a little more.

Great place to take the littles. They have an awesome playground to take the kids to when they get a little distracted from seeing the animal. My kids had an awesome time seeing the animals, playing and having some special treats. The layout uses the small square footage super effectively.

WORST ZOO EVER! No train rides, no carousel rides, no indoor exhibits, no shows, no elephants, no sea lions and the lost goes on! The animals that where out looked depressed and unkempt. The employees and all staff look like they hate their jobs. The only thing to do here was to drink a beer and watch my daughter play in the playground. WORST ZOO EVER!

The weather was pleasant, a nice breeze helped keep us cool. It was 80 degrees and there were many animals "not on display" because of the weather...odd. The guard letting us in misinformed us and said the event at 1:30 had been rescheduled to earlier so we didn't get to see it, found out later it WAS at 1:30. 😡 We normally browse through at slower pace because we have my 91 yr old Mom with us, however this time we were done in 3 hours since there was so much less to see AND since we missed the 1:30 event. Zoo staff needs to give CORRECT information!

I really enjoy this zoo, small and quaint but very well managed. I would love a larger exhibit for the animals and more interaction with park staff and visitors. This place has a lot of information dispersed throughout but it’s kind of like you roam around and stumble through the park. Love the Africa exhibit and the monkeys. The staff is awesome.

Kids liked it, especially the playground with the slides. Many of the animals were not out for viewing as it was kinda cold. Would be better in warmer weather. The train was a little overpriced for how little you can see from it, but it was fun anyway. There are no paper maps any longer so you need a digital one.

It's a good outing for the family and kids. They could improve it by having more events and sponsors in the park. Like perhaps a Chihuahua store. Diet Cokes. How is there no diet Cokes or diet anything inside the park. Better food. Hot dogs for example.

Such a great zoo! Visiting from Tampa, FL and had to stop in with my son. It was great to see so many animals that we don't get to see at our zoo back home. It was a really hot day so I think some of the animals were kept inside and I wish some of the others would have had something to cool them down because the heat seemed to be affecting some of them as well. Loved their cat adoption facility and though this was a great idea that many other zoos should do as well!

Honestly a lot more in this Zoo than expected. Some of the exhibits were closed. There were no birds due to the avian flu. The animals that were displayed were quite interesting and the zoo itself felt large. The tamarans inside one of the buildings were by far the best to watch. You could definitely spend a couple hours here if you read and saw everything.

It's a decent zoo. Animals are unpredictable so there might be days were you might get to see all of the animals and others where they might be hidden. It's a good family friendly activity. I recommend it. There is a big tree house section where kids can run and play. Very entertaining.

Love the fact u can actually see almost everything in one day, especially if you have an itinerary! It's not as big as NYC's Bronx Zoo but is still beautiful and entertaining for the little ones. We fed a giraffe and the costs to participate in certain activities wasn't so bad!!!

Good zoo, if you live in El Paso and have kids the yearly family membership the playground is awesome! If you've been to big city zoo's you won't be impressed. Not that they don't have a good array of animals but it's just not as diverse as other bigger zoos

I love this zoo! It isn't too big; you can easily get through it in 2-3 hours. Always activities going on. The new Chihuahuan Desert addition is amazing!

  • 5/5 Mark S. 4 years ago on Google
Such a huge change from the past few years! Once the chihuahuan desert opened up, the zoo looked amazing. The jungle gym was a huge hit with my 2 kids. One area for children 4 and under and the adult one has 2 levels! The zoo finally had sea lion shows as well as orangutans feeding. Huge difference! Hope the zoo gets more attractions in the near future, but as a long time zoo member, I finally feel it's worth the trip to come and spend the day at the El Paso zoo!

My Family and I enjoyed going to El Paso zoo as much as we could the two years we’ve been in El Paso! We’re sure going to miss this city! Thanks so much El Paso zoo for being so great to my family every time we visited. Also, thank you Terri for being amazing and wishing us well on our next journey. You really just spoke volumes of how above and beyond you all go for your visitors. We truly appreciate it, and if we come back to El Paso we’ll be back in for another membership.

The place is terrible. The vendors selling g food dont know how to give back the correct change. The animals are either sleeping or there are empty spots with overgrown grass and weeds. The birds and amphibians are the nicest areas of the zoo. I also liked the merry go round. The train is also my fav but again the animals aren't really visible. There was a cat display that made me so sad because the cats looked super thin, their bones were showing and they had little babies. I think maybe the zoo needs to be shut down. The animals dont look happy or cared for. In my opinion. They look sick

Loved that there was plenty of shade at the park. The splash area was a hit with the kids and was a great way to beat the heat. The playground was another highlight. There are a lot of animals inside so you can stay cool there as well.

Nice, clean, easy to get around. Exhibits are great. There are plenty of food options indoor or grab and go. I recommend for families and groups. Staff was courteous and efficient. We are members of our city zoo and they allowed reciprocal membership.

There was a massive remodeling taking place, so that along with the winter weather had quite a few exhibits closed, but yet & still this was one of the best zoo experiences I can say my family and I have had! The animals were so interactive, it was almost as if we were the exhibits and they were checking us out! The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake came from the back of its enclosure to get face to face with us as well as most of the other animals. Excellent zoo, top notch!!

  • 5/5 My Crazy P. 3 years ago on Google

The zoo fits El Paso. The prices were decent and they accommodated military families abd honored the military IDs. It was a big enough zoo that it took most of the day to walk around, and there was plenty of places to view. I would highly recommend this stop whenever it opens!

Obviously things are overpriced in the same way concert tickets and t-shirts are, but overall a great experience. Friendly staff, plenty of appropriately placed trash cans and a great place to take the kids. The best days are in the middle of the week. Crowd control with a million strollers on the weekend could use some work.

  • 5/5 Deborah Kay R. 4 years ago on Google
Awesome new Chihuahuan Desert exhibit! Winter is a great time to go since it isn't crowded and the animals are more active when it's not so hot. Also the new obstacle course looks really fun! It's $6-$8 to try it out.

  • 4/5 Scott T. 6 years ago on Google
Smaller than the other zoo's I've been to. Was also about half the price. Was very clean, had a nice layout and a nice variety of animals. The only exhibit I didn't like was the elephants. They were separated and didn't appear happy or very healthy.

Zoo lights was well worth the money and our family thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job Oregon Zoo for taking a hard time in life and making it feasible for us to still enjoy this great place. I guess I can't expect to much during Covid but they should offer discount tickets or open more exhibits. It was pretty empty yet hard to find times for entry on line. With all that said they money helps the animals so it was worth it

  • 5/5 Jonathan H. 3 years ago on Google
The Oregon Zoo will always hold a place close to my heart. When I was a kid, we would have fun field trips with my class, and family trips with my younger sisters. As an adult, I've been able to share that same joy and wonder with my own children - I even had the opportunity to bring my own son to his first concert (Fitz & The Tantrums) - an experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. So much about the Oregon Zoo is wonderful, but I have to say, this year's Zoo Lights was something I hadn't expected. Zoo Lights has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember, but the occasions were often marred by cold, wet Pacific Northwest weather - the ability to ride through the zoo, warm and cozy from the comfort of our own vehicle, is an experience unmatched. Add to that the wonder that came from PHYSICALLY DRIVING THROUGH THE ZOO (!!!) made for a truly magical experience. Well done, Oregon Zoo, you guys nailed it! Again!!!

After getting an Uber at 330, we thought we had plenty of time to enjoy the zoo before it’s closes at 5pm. Jokes on us, they close the gates at 3pm and will not let you inside. An attendant told us while they close at 5pm you have to be inside by 3pm.

  • 4/5 Beth M. 3 years ago on Google
The zoo allows limited visitors who've made appointments in advance. The route through the zoo is predetermined to allow for a nice flow of visitors with limited contact. The animals were active during our early afternoon visit. The grandchildren and adults thoroughly enjoyed the visit and look forward to returning.

  • 4/5 Deborah F. 3 years ago on Google
Loved seeing the animals! Sea otters were very cute! I could watch them all day! I have never seen the animals so active before! I think it's because they miss seeing all the visitors every day. It was annoying that some exhibits were closed because of covid-19. But understandable. Well worth it!

  • 5/5 Lisa R. 3 years ago on Google
Even w/social distancing, the zoo has done a great job of creating a path to keep people moving and safe. Thanks to their efforts, we actually saw the whole zoo, as opposed to the kids pulling us in multiple directions pre-covid.

  • 4/5 Craig K. 3 years ago on Google
Went for Zoolights. It was very busy and took about 1 1/2 hours from arriving to exit driving thru. Some very pretty light exhibits and impressive animations.

  • 5/5 Debra J. 3 years ago on Google
EDIT: With COVID19 protocols in place the zoo has really stepped up. Zoo lights were amazing. Still I'd like to see what happens after all the new construction. Will have to come back when all the construction is done and see if it improves. The walkability is not the best. You get put on a path walkway where everyone is going the same direction and it is faily cramped and crowded. This makes seeing the animals a little difficult. It does start to open up towards the center. But not much. I think the layout was better years before when there weren't so many "forced paths." I will say that I always appreciate the fact that most zoos are making animal enclosures better for the animals. The narrow paths I assume have something to do with that I just can't tell how.

As Zoos go it's hard to beat The Oregon Zoo. I have been a member since I moved here in 2014 and plan to continue to be a member for the foreseeable future. The animals all appear to be healthy and happy and this is made all the more clear by their longevity. I think the fact that they have been able to breed their Elephants so successfully is also testament to this. There is so much under construction right now but it's still a great place to visit. I'm very excited to see how it all turns out.

Due to the pandemic shows are canceled, however, it has grown. Plenty of space for people to spread outdoors and enjoy the animals. You can still bring your own food, drinks, snacks. Remember no glass allowed. Some vendors were open inside, selling food, snacks and beer. The Mexican wolves were more active as they have a new enclosure in a hole new section of the zoo. Penguins are coming soon.

I felt I should've waited a few months before visiting because I was disappointed mostly because of many areas being closed . I guess the pandemic is to blame for the shape that the zoo is in right now. I visited about 5 years back and had a great time. I feel $12 to enter is too much and hopefully with time everything should gett better.

My kids love the zoo! We have the $120 membership and it is well worth the money. However, if they say they are going to have an animal show/encounter, they should be doing them or letting guests know they aren't going to be doing them that day. We waited 30 minutes today for the jaguar show, never happened. Again, my daughter got excited for the Sea Lion show and it never happened either. We left disappointed. And, a few weeks ago, we went and they said the same thing about the animal shows and nobody ever showed up. When we asked staff, they didn't know either. 😔

As far as zoos go, this one is disappointing. Viewing angles for visitors around enclosures are poorly thought-out. Animal density is low. In my past experience with other zoos, enclosures with giraffes, monkeys, elephants, lions and tigers typically had multiple animals in them. Most enclosures here had just one or two animals. There is a river-like feature in the zoo, however, it was dry with no water in it making it more of an eyesore. The ticket booth at the entrance of the zoo says the zoo is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - we went there on a Monday and it was open. They have not bothered to update signage at the entrance of the zoo or throughout the zoo where daily events are listed. Unfortunately, this makes the whole experience sloppy and not up to expectation. A lot of the shortcomings can be fixed with just a little bit of due diligence. On the plus side, the entry fee is minimal. There are some family-friendly attractions like a play area, splash pad (open seasonally) and a train that goes through the zoo. They are upgrading to have a penguin enclosure and there seem to be other repair, maintenance and upgrades being done which I hope will enrich visitor experience here.

Great zoo. They have an amphitheater with 2 shows a day. They have a nice gift shop, a penny smasher and face painting. There is a park with slides for the kids. A beautiful carousel and some rope climbs available if you feel like having an adventure. The sea lions look adorable. They close at three so get there early. The parking was free.

Really neat zoo. It isn't a huge zoo which makes the experience easy to do within a day. My wife and I finished in about 5 to 6 hours and we got to see everything. The exhibits are neat the animals seem to be well taken care of, and the information provided is awesome. Overall a really cool experience. We had a great time.

I went to the El Paso Zoo 4/1/22. I was at the Asia exhibit when I witnessed inexcusable reasoning by employees. A class on a field trip set up tables and chairs (yes the tables and chairs belong to the zoo). The tables and chairs were folded and not being used. I overheard the conversation between school staff and security/ employees of the zoo. Zoo employees told the school they weren’t allowed to use the tables and chairs because the chairs and tables were for reserved parties. The only reservation mentioned by staff was the for the following day 4/2/22. School staff told zoo employees they received permission from the zoo to use the table and chairs. School staff also told the employees the tables and chairs would be placed back where they were previously, after the elementary children rested and ate their lunch. In the middle of eating their lunch the children had to gather their food and relocate to a different area of the zoo. If anyone at the El Paso Zoo would like to reach out and explain this, I would appreciate it.

My kids got to see many animals there were some empty inside the building and the birds area was closed to public but other than that it was a great experience!

Great to pass time in family or friends to just have a good time I do recommend going at least once a year so it doesn't get boring.

Cute little zoo. Admission prices were reasonable. Something to do to for the morning with kids. Coming from being a zoo member in Tampa Florida, it just wasn't the same comparing the two. Would have like to see more of a active kid play area space with more to do. And was surprised you had to pay for the Carousel. Overall, we did get to see different animals compares to what we are use to seeing in Florida.

Always a good experience. Today I got to see new animals I had not seen at this zoo. I love going to the zoo to see the animals but also to because it is one of the few places in El Paso that has lots of trees and plants.

First time going to the Zoo on Easter, and I must say I was impressed. I haven't been for over ten years and the renovation is beautiful! Drinks are overpriced but it's a good time.

We are from out of town and this zoo was a nice surprise. It only took 3 hours to walk around the whole zoo. The kids loved seeing how close the animals got to you. We also enjoyed the waterfall that cooled us down. The employees were a little rude. But the layout of the zoo was easy to understand. Parking was accessible.

Pretty neat zoo, has a lot of animals that you don't see elsewhere, like owls and these super small cute monkeys. Went during the winter freeze, so there were practically zero people. The elephants and giraffes don't come out during cold weather, but we did see the tiger and seal. Tickets are $14 for adults.

This place surprised me. Wow I had a great time. I have a zoology degree, so whenever I am in a new town I try to get to the zoo. So much fun, I went to the African Savannah first. Plenty of animals out, I saw 2 giraffes, which the keepers hand fed in front of us. At least 4 zebras, a red river hog, a couple turtles, pronghorn antelope, lions, jaguars, bears, tigers, orangutans, elephants, owls, roadrunners, horses and more. I heard the lion roar at least once, the jaguars make their sounds, and the wolves howled. So neat! If you are hungry I totally loved the Lone Star burger at the Passport cafe. Chargrilled flavor, thick bacon, smokey BBQ sauce, and crunchy fries. Yum! I was expecting a small zoo but this was a good 2-3 hours of fun. I am a top 10% restaurant reviewer for Google Maps. Follow me for more tasty bites in over 10 states and counting!

Great variety of animals, fair price and If you have kids this place has a really cool playground. I would have gave it 5 but a lot of exhibits where closed. Gives me a reason to check them out again in the future.

El Paso Zoo, great experience, there's still some renovations going on, prices should adjust because there are some unavailable areas where you can't access. Overall had a good time contemplating such beautiful animals

I loved it. Small zoo but perfect. I'm not from El Paso, I was visit trying to find something to do and the zoo was a very pleasant idea and a great turnout. Kids loved it.

They have frequent "enrichment" shows to highlight the different animals. There is also a wonderful cat interaction house and adoption service on site. It being so hot probably had something to do with it but most of the animals looked sad. There were several exhibits under construction and a lot of the exhibits only had one animal.

Great layout. It’s hot so go early to catch as many animals as possible. But it’s a great place for all
