👍👍 Very much worth taking to visit Erice. One of the best places in Trapani. Just 9 euro for both ways for a 10 minute peaceful ride. I took bus 23 to get there from Trapani porto and bus 21 to go back. Bus stop for 21 to go back is just in front of the funicular. I used movitapp website to navigate,... In September there are no queues, also the parking at the bottom station provides a lot of free spaces for only 1.5€ per 3h. The bad thing is that the cableway cars have scratched and dirty windows and this makes the view from them slighly disrupted.

Parked at the cable car station and took the 10 minute ride to the quiet medieval village Erica on hilltop above Trapani. Cobbled streets, churches and monasteries. Many bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. The patisserie in the main street sells mandorli that are well worth the visit by themselves. Take something warm if you get cold easily. It can be 10 degrees colder than Trapani, misty and windy on top. Easy to combine an afternoon in Erica with a morning in Trapani.

Utterly terrifying, but great views of the city of Trapani and out to sea. It's a little out of the way to get to, but very easy to use once you're there. You can buy tickets at the ticket office just prior to boarding to get to the top. Make sure you buy a return ticket! I'm not entirely sure how long a journey takes but I feel like it was around 10-15 minutes. Worth travelling up to Erice this way!

Lovely place. going up the cable car, I did not expect that there would be a small town, with monuments, cafes, inhabitants and the best Italian specialties - cannoli siciliano and genovese buns. walking through the narrow streets of the city of ERICE you will see many monuments, beautiful tenement houses, chapels and churches. Interestingly, life functions normally there! People live there, go out on terraces, balconies, shops are open, they take out garbage (even when tourists go), there are chotels, Italian language is heard everywhere - like in a fish market and a lot of tourists eager to see this wonderful place. I didn't have so much time, but it's worth going there along the trail for visitors, which is in front of the entrance to the city and the ticket office. the trail leads around and through the city, where you will see the ruins of the castle, towers and other architectural monuments. For MTB and Downhill enthusiasts, I recommend the descent from ERICE to Marsala on a gravel road, which is gentle and you can easily go there on foot! I recommend visiting this place-Erice as well as the center of Marsala, because these are places worth visiting while in Sicily

If you do not rent a car, it is better way to commute to the Erice from city. Better to buy round trip ticket. One way is more than 2/3 price of roundtrip fare for foreign tourist. It would be better view if you go there sunset timing.

Very affordable price and provides for beautiful views of Trapani and the Saline on top of getting you to Erice. If you can get your tickets in advance please do so as there is a separate entry line for tickets holders. If you have to buy your tickets, the line can be long on the weekend.

12 minute ride, nice views, cheap parking at the bottom of the lift €1.50 for 3 hours then €1 per hour extra after that. €10 for the whole day. If you use the cable car in the evening, be prepared for a 30 min queue. You can get priority (basically no queue at all) if you pre book online.

So worth the trip to see Eriçe. My wife, who isn't comfortable with heights, handled the gondola cars well. Loved walking around Eriçe. Just happened on to a great little place to eat, Caffe San Guiliana, that was inexpensive and delicious! The owner lady treated us so well. Hint: try the grappa ☺️ Ok, the bad part -- we get back to the parking and try to pay and the display is unreadable. Finally just put in 5 euros and tried to leave -- gate opened.

The cablecar is very comfortable and spacious with maximum of 8 people. For the return ticket it costs around 20 € and you don't wait at all beacuse the cablecars arrive every minute and you immediately go in. The ride to the top takes about 8 minutes and you get a beautiful view of Trapani and surrounding villages. We went to Erice on Wednesday when the cablecar opens at 9am, but on Mondays it's open only in the afternoon and on weekends from 9:30.

It’s really long (the ride to Erice from Trapani takes like 25 minutes) and interesting trip with beautiful views to take if you want to visit Erice from Trapani. However: - on their Google page it says it starts from 1PM on Monday where in reality it’s 2PM. - the carts itself are not well ventilated and during sunny day it’s getting really hot in here and it’s hard to breath even when riding as 2 passengers - the carts interior could be renovated, everything is pretty worn and the view is quite disturbed by scratches plexiglass that covers the whole capsule It cost 11 euro / person for trip going up and down

Maybe the price is little high but for someone who would like to get fast and with beautiful views to Erice I highly recommend. In the beginning of may it was not crowded at all, you can buy tickets and immediately go for a ride. Good things that you can open a windows there so it was not too hot inside.

Obviously if your afraid of heights skip it and drive. But the views are amazing. They do need to clean the windows more often though. Convenient parking for 3 euros

Very nice ride. However whole thing needs better maintenance. Amazing views! Definitely worth visiting!

Check working hours with their website as Google not always showing correct working hours. 9.50eur per person to go up + down. Takes about 10minutes, queue goes pretty fast.

No better way to get up/down Erice. Not at all crowded, no wait and unbeatable overhead views of Trapani town and the sea. Cable car goes right to the main gate of Erice’s quaint old town Buy return tickets on your way up in case you plan to stay till after sunset and the ticket office shut. Tip: to get a taxi home at night, cross the street and look for a TAXI sign with the names and phone numbers of local drivers you can call. All of them are metered taxis. Ps. The closing hours have not been updated in Google. The cable car was still running both directions at 855pm on a Sunday night.

Visited in September 2023 ,one way ,18 euros for 3 adults expensive I thought. Nice journey down but windows are dirty and seats are old .warning doesn't operate on windy days.

A 10-mi note ride up the mountain from Trapani to Erice, a beautiful ancient town the roots of which go back to 1200 B.C.E. Most of the structures, houses, churches, and a monastery, visible today are from the high to late middle ages. But there is also an old temple area dedicated to Venus, which is, of course, much older.

This ride is fantastic. It would be even better with cleaner windows. The view going up is getting better and more surprising all the time as you are going up. It's quite a long ride. Avoid the toilets at the top next to the terminal. It's a scam and the people running that place is just as trashy as the place itself. Disgusting.

Parked in the official car park over the road. Trip was worth the money. Erice and the views whilst up there are magical. Walk around and go high up to see the panoramas, which are so big they look unreal. Favourite day in our holiday.

Worth a visit! It’s just amazing but the cables are quite dirty and the windows unfortunately but still just an amazing view. Fair price but opening hours quite short.. closes at 8pm

Very practice if you want to go up to Erice directly from Trapani. There are also buses from old town. Buy bus ticket before going on the bus.

Great way to see the city of Trapani, 9,50 return ticket. Easy to park nearby, it is guarded and safe, only 1,50 first 3 hours

We enjoyed our cable car up to what is the boring town of Erice.Go on a nice day early in the morning. The views are spectacular, both ways.We went at 9.30 and it was empty.Felt it was well worth the €9 each for the round trip

Nice views from the top. 9 Euro each way, so total 18 Euro. Parking is located in front and costs 1.5 Euro for 3 hours. Dont follow any man who wants to show you where to park, just park in front, the parking is secure and no hassle.

Very nice way to reach erice. Ride take 15 minutes. Cabins are clean and in very well condition. When you exit the cabins, you are at the main entrance of the beautiful Erice.
