(Translated by Google) The guide is a true character in the history of Favignana. To date nothing seems to have changed, the tonnara has remained faithful to its seafaring life. Beautiful archaeological finds and movie locations Does the story continue? (Original) La guida è un vero personaggio della storia di Favignana. Ad oggi nulla sembra essere cambiato, la tonnara è rimasta fedele alla sua vita marinara. Bei reperti archeologici e location da film Forse la storia continua?

Was an interesting tour and place, try call ahead or pop by if already on the island to find out which language the tours will be run in on the day you're thinking of visiting

Impressive site and story of the man who masterminded tuna processing. Sobering to see the scale of the slaughter and irritating that there are no English translations either on site or via the Izi app.

A must see! Very interesting tour and super passionate guide, Liliana. The site is clean and well kept.

Interesting museum centered around a former tuna fish processing factory. The whole island of Favignana was at one point owned by the Florio family, which owned the tuna processing facility and industry on the island. The Florio villa gives one a good idea of the wealth of the family at one time. All in all, the island, with its beautiful beaches and the ex Stabilimento Florio, is well worth a trip from Trapani via hydrofoil or regular ferry.

For tourists not optimal, as everything is available in Italian only.

Cool old tuna canning factory. Interesting, but signage is minimum.

We were on a trip in Favignana island and had only 40 minutes to ferry departure but this was quick decision, we had to see it.😍 The complex of buildings is so huge and beautiful, we fell in love immediately...I was speechless and surprised how it looks like. The former spa building was transformed into tuna factory which was closed at the end of 20th century and now it serves as a museum. You can find the former boats and cans, excellent view on Favignana island from the square of the factory. If I will come to Favignana next time this will be our destination again because we had not enough time to see everything❤️ Thank you for this experience.

Interesting buildings to wander around. Most information in Italian, so you may need Google Lens, etc. to translate. Some interesting archaeological items, quite a lot of information on the historical tuna business.

Impressive old tuna cans factory from 19th century. It s a pity everything is in Italian and they don't propose tours in English ..

Nice place with picturesque views. The ex tuna processing factory was okay.

Former tuna-fish factory owned by Florio family. It is currently a musem. Its industrial architecture literally on the sea has many charming views. After the covid outbreak, it will be fully reopened for the public after the end of June 2022.

Amazing place! We enjoyed a 2hrs guided tour of the old factory without no extra cost (ticket was 6€), it was really cool! The guide explained us not only how the tuna cans were produced but also gave us some interesting hints about the Florio family! Definitely something worth the time while you’re in favignana

Lovely museum, kids enjoyed everything related to ancient history and sea battles. The tour was just the right length too, lots of interesting facts about tuna fishing.

We visited the Tonnara for a wedding. What a beautiful venue with multiple spaces, beautiful lighting and plenty of space to celebrate:)

They should put that it's close at 13h and not at 14h. We tried to get there at 13h20 they did not allowed us to enter, saying that it was close. The treatment in the entrance was really rude. For a tourist and important place is so sad.

Really interesting museum where you can learn a lot about fishing tunas in the last 200 years. Many stories about the founder family, the methods and the factory itself. It’s really detailed with models, photos, set up scenes. And also our guide was really kind and she knew a lot and answered all our questions. She spoke good english too.

This place was a cultural gem. We went a bit after 7pm and managed to "infiltrate" with the guided tour that had just started. The tour guide was very passionate and explained very well the entire tonnara process - also leaving room to questions. (Have in mind that the tour is in Italian) Strongly recommend a visit if you are in Favignana.

Great guided tour of the ex tuna factory in Favignana, a must do while you are in the island especially if you have read the Lions of Sicily by Stefania Auci (that I strongly recommend too!).
