Best hostel ever! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and warm-hearted. It's a great hangout spot to socialise and have fun. The team did an amazing job 👏 and I feel it when people work with their heart. Needless to say, the room was clean, well ventilated. Great location as well.

I really enjoyed it there; people were lovely and friendly. It was very clean and I felt safe. Location is great as there are many beautiful places to see! It was my last and favorite place to stay during my round trip in sicily.

Timbuktu Hostel is the best hostel I have stayed in Europe! Close to beaches and mountains, it is perfect for people who love the outdoors. And it is also close to the center of town. The place is super clean and with a great laid back vibe. The staff is helpful and very friendly! But the best aspect of this place is the atmosphere. Undoubtedly, a great place to meet and befriend other travelers. Honestly, I don’t know what else you need in a hostel!

Great hostel! Lovely and best equipped kitchen i’ve seen in a hostel. Everything about this hostel, from staff to a heartwarming interior design, is just exceptional. Will definitely come back!

The best hostel experience of my life and I’m not exaggerating. Marco, Claudia and Josui are amazing people. I felt like they and the other guests became family during my short stay. Really beautiful property and building. The room was really comfy and cleaned everyday. Not a single complaint and really sad to leave…perfetto 🤌

I don't have the words to express how special this place is. Book it. Book it now and plan on extending it once you get here. It embodies everything that is wonderful about Sicily, starting with Marco and his staff. I truly feel like I've found a second home here, and the people of Timbuktu and San Vito lo Capo made that happen.

Amazing hostel, Marco and Claudia are so friendly and lovely, and you feel at home right away! It's a really social hostel, where you will meet lots of friends! Everything is super clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Plus they are super environementally conscious😊.The only downside is you'll never want to leave!! This hostel is a hidden gem, and thank you Claudia and Marco for making my stay amazing.

Very very nice hostel, every practical aspect was there only the towels were not included. Very good rooms with a bathroom in it. The best thing there is the service and the atmosphere, just loved it. Good job, guys! Keep it going like that!

Perfect hostel, Marco was so welcoming and helpful. The hostel is small enough to be homely, big enough to be social, and the kitchen+living room are the nicest I’ve seen at a hostel! It’s also very clean with great bathrooms. There are tons of activities to do from here, plus a great beach.

The best international spot in San Vito. Stay here for an amazing atmosphere, clean hostel, great people and a bar that offers beer and cocktails and much more.

Very atmospheric and artistic place with a laid-back vibe. I stayed in a private room which was air-conditioned, comfortable and clean. Superbly equipped kitchen, friendly and helpful staff and complimentary tea, coffee and cake dor breakfast. Would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely lovely hostel with friendly staff close to the town center. The hostel is well maintained and organized (well equipped kitchen, wifi, clean bathrooms, tidy living room, chilling area in the garden,... ). And there is a great vibe to drink beer and listen some music in the evening with other guests and staff people. I can highly recommend to stay here if you are looking for a backpacker hostel!

Super spot, central yet quite. Marco is a super host and there was nothing he couldn't help. The whole place is beautifully decorated and sparklingly clean. Excellently equipped kitchen and large comfortable common areas. Highly recommended

French traveler here. I spent 3 nights at Timbuktu with 7 friends. The staff was lovely and gave us a lot of tips concerning the best places to see around San Vito. They provided us with everything we needed to spend an amazing time! We also had the chance to participate to the weekly BBQ + Sangria they organize every Saturday. I highly recommend it! Don't hesitate to book there, best place in San Vito, and a great all-around hostel :)

Cute little place. Nice atmosphere. Rooms are spacious with balcony and en-suite bathroom. Not so far from the centre. Well, it’s a small town. Kitchen seemed to be fully equipped. I didn’t use it, because I only stayed one night. Bar in the backyard. I rated this place with 4 stars only because I think the price is compared to other places elsewhere in Sicily a little bit over the top. 28 € a night (for one bed in a 7 bed dorm, without breakfast) in a small town is a bit pricey compared to my current city hostel in Catania (which is super central located, private room + en-suit bathroom, including breakfast, rooftop) = all in all only 32 €.

This is coming a little late I’m sorry Marco! Hands down one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had traveling the world the last 6 years. How do you explain an amazing vibe? This place certainly has it. Marco goes out of way to be helpful and is just so enthusiastic. This place is perfect whether you want to meet people or keep to yourself. Being an Aussie and a Frenchman we sung some stereotypical songs matching our countries for karaoke night, got taught how to salsa with some of the locals. It just felt like an incredible experience before even leaving the hostel to explore beautiful surroundings. There was no space on our last night so Marco put us on the rooftop terrace in a tent so we couldn’t have been more grateful. You can’t stay anywhere else if you’re visiting Sicily! Cheers.

I've stayed in dozens of hostels across the world over the past 15 years and Timbuktu is simply on a different league. The facilities and the cleanliness are as good or even better than what you would find in a hotel. You'll have acess to a fully equipped kitchen, a garden, a co-working area, a nice patio, a climbing wall (!!!), a balcony and, most importantly, the whole Timbuktu family will always be there to keep you company. Lunches, dinners and other fun events are organised nearly every day, and the place seems to attract the most chilled, interesting, crazy, funny travellers and volunteers you'll ever come across. The team works super hard to make sure everyone enjoys their experience there, so well done everyone for your care and dedication. Also, if you're working remotely, there is a very nice working area with AC and super reliable Internet. I've already booked my next stay and am so looking forward to seeing my Timbuktu family again!

Best place to stay in San Vito Lo Capo. Nice team and great community. The highlight is for sure the mattress and pillow. Never slept that good in a hostel. It also has its own bar (a little expensive in comparison to other places). 10 min walk to the center and the beach. Breakfast is included. Free water all the day to refill your bottles. Finally, there are so many things to do and see in the area and having a good time is guaranteed.

Best of the best! I've stayed in a lot of hostels over the years (lots and lots) and I think I would have to say that Timbuktu was probably #1 of all of them; super clean, comfortable, great owner and staff, great vibe and an attention to detail that very few hostel owners manage to achieve. Six stars, great work Marco, you have created something very special here!
