This and Sugar Beach Resort are my favorite places to stay! I have been here several times over the last few years and they never disappoint. Staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure I am taken care of. This is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've been in a lot of hotels over the years. The pool area is also one of the best and cleanest. I love the balcony with the view of the bay. Overall well above average and I'm always so pleased. I'll be back!! ❤️

The staff is kind and helpful. (Everyone has bad days) The rooms were clean and tidy on check in. Everything worked. The amenities are all modern and decent sized. They have Starbucks coffee in the room! They back up to the beach and one side of the hotel has great views. Some rooms have balconies as well, others open straight onto the beach. Fitness ,business ,and indoor pool. Breakfast is neatly packed and placed in front of your door at your selected time. ALL prepackaged single serve food. You Must turn in your party's Breakfast slips at the front desk each night to ensure you get it in the Morning.

The hotel is overpriced. $400 for one night is simply not justified given the services and the quality of services being offered. They do not offer a breakfast buffet and instead they have a fixed boxed breakfast menu that with very limited options. The breakfast I received was frozen. If you are going to offer below par services, then set the prices of your hotel accordingly. Additionally even after booking a room with 1 queen bed and 1 king bed, they charged $10 extra for the 3rd person. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. but my basic complaint is that the hotel's services and quality do not align with the pricing !

Beautiful place. Staff are friendly, and they keep the hotel spotless! Every morning, staff replenishes the towels and takes your garbage. You can also request breakfast. This was one of the best trips I have been on. It was quiet and relaxing.

First time I stayed here and I was so happy. The place is in a great location. The beach is perfect, groomed every morning. Our balcony view was extraordinary. Really nice room. The staff could not possibly be more helpful, responsive, or kind. This will be a new annual vacation spot. Did Iention jet ski rentals, short drive to front street, Pirates Cove and DQ across the street? Couldn't be more relaxed than I was.

UPDATE: I called and spoke to Michelle as she replied to this review. She was very nice and explained their stance on the breakfast option although I do find it hard to believe people actually like it. She did refund me $200 for the breakfast which I appreciate. I updated to 2 stars from 1 star because she was nice. Original: The advertised breakfast delivery to the room was very misleading. The frozen boxed breakfast was hardly satisfying and not nutritious. A nearly $30 daily resort fee plus $400 a night and the only perk is being on the beach. It was not worth it. The pool room was like a sauna and the pool was like bath water which would have been nice if it were winter but it was hot outside so it wasn't refreshing or enjoyable. The hot tub wasn't tolerable either and definitely was way above the minimum temperature. In my opinion, my favorite part of hotels are the breakfasts and hot tubs. Both were highly disappointing. Also, the company they have set up to do kayak and paddle boards were highly unorganized. They said they opened at 10:30a and no one was there for hours. People said they waited three days for them to open. It was so bad we actually ended up checking out a day early. They charge a resort fee but this is just a basic hotel in a nice location. They don’t provide any extra amenities. The front desk sent me a text notifying our check out a day before our scheduled check-out and said the person who checked us in didn’t input it correctly. I had to ask for a towel refresh, coffee and coffee cups several times. They only clean the rooms every third night so it ended up getting pretty dirty since we brought our two kids. Our room was right by the ice machine and the door was so thin and you could see light coming in from all corners so you could hear everyone walking around and getting ice. The parking lot was small and ran out of parking every night. We had to park on the opposite side of the hotel every day. I'm so disappointed.

Overrated! Not my favorite, try mission point, they have 4 pillows on their bed and pay for your ferry ride over for half the price. I didn't get a King bed, I got 2 queens for 1 grand, that's why they call it that LoL breakfast at watercolor Cafe was way better and unique. I will not stay here again, it just was not special enough for the rates, pay the $10 to look around and stay somewhere that makes you feel like you're special.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel. For $200/night I was very disappointed. The box breakfast has no variety in fruit or juice from day to day, more options should have been provided for what they charged. Also, don't drink the coffee in the room, use the soap/shampoo/conditioner or they charge you an additional $25.00 per night. Sign in the bathroom says housekeeping every 3 days. They didn't happen either. We had a beach front room which was nice. Didn't try the pool. Also, forget trying to find a parking space if you get back to your room later in the evening.

We were a walk-in. Ashlee at the front desk was great, remodeled rooms beautiful and very clean. Miss the excellent continental breakfast they used to have. Now you order off a list of not great options and they bring it to your room.

By far the CLEANEST hotel I've ever seen in a tourist hot spot! Thomas was very kind and informative, the rooms were nice and spacious, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Definitely a spot we will stay at again in the future. Oh, and thank you for the breakfast packages!

The hotel was beautiful and clean. I also enjoyed the balcony to sit out on to see the water. The balcony had a cover so it was perfect for the rainy day. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel which is my biggest concern when traveling. The team was so great and accommodating! I would recommend and return.

Lovely beachfront hotel has its own beach area and is near the downtown area. The room was clean, and we had everything we needed. They also supply a box breakfast with a few choices. Rooms are spacious and clean We had a nice view of the water, with a nice balcony. Unfortunately, it was a bit too cool outside to be able to stay out there too long. The front desk staff was helpful and able to help us with any needs we had. Our stay was pleasant. The off-season rate was great and hard to pass up. I would definitely stay there again.

I wanted to give 4 stars but that’s not fair. This place IS wonderful. Location is prime. Clean rooms, hotel, and pool/hot tub. Great hospitality! Literally the only complaint is the “breakfast” that is brought to your room. Extremely underwhelming. Was not good at all. Served in a box, in a bag, at your door. I won’t say this reflects on my stay but I wouldn’t even bother getting it again.

This is an amazing hotel and Amazing location right on the beach and perfect for Family and weddings. The pool in the hot tub absolutely beautiful. The rooms are fantastic clean New & amazing! Parking make it a little bit tight at night but there’s plenty a room right across the street if you’re a little bit savvy. I would recommend this place to everybody that comes to Traverse City. Thank you Brad.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Great views of the bay. Our room was a corner first floor so the doorwall and corner windows were so nice! Location is great. The staff is so friendly, nice and accommodating. Ashlee took really good care of us during our stay and they check in throughout via text to make sure everything is good which is nice. I also really liked how we could select the continental breakfast options and it was delivered directly to our room in the morning. The pool was SO warm and made swimming really enjoyable. The hot tub was very relaxing as well and we enjoyed hanging out with fellow hotel guests just wish it was open later then 11pm! They also have really good coffee in the lobby. We will definitely return for any of our future TC visits!

Very clean rooms. The room did not have the chemically cleaner/deodorizer smell some hotels use. We really appreciated that. Our room had a balcony with a beach front view. Staff were very friendly. Only 4 stars because these rooms are quite expensive, but the complimentary breakfast box was just awful: tasteless cellophane-wrapped danish/biscuit, off-brand orange juice, etc. We could’ve purchased a better breakfast at a Circle K. The coffee in the room was a cheap brand with no half-and-half, just powdered “whitener”. The coffee in the lobby was not much better and still no half-and-half. My suggestion to the resort is to drop the breakfast entirely and focus on providing a really good coffee bar in the lobby with half-and-half and hot water for tea and instant hot chocolate. Finally, not a deal breaker, but worth noting that the upholstery on the dining room chairs and sofa was worn and frayed in both rooms in which we stayed.

We had a beach view room, so beautiful, the room exceeded our expectations, very clean, bed was very comfortable, Customer Service here was fantastic, friendly and checking everyday if we needed anything. You turn a card in the night before for your breakfast choice and it is delivered to your room. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean hotel right on the beach. Would be great in the summer, but still nice in the winter. Rooms are very spacious. No complaints!

We ended up staying here for two nights and found that the location was great for what we needed. It was rainy both days but the pool and hot tub were both large and well maintained. The hotel room was a bit dated but had a comfortable bed and a large tv. I found housekeeping very intrusive, asking to come in to clean our linens in the morning while we had do not disturb. Also found that the noise insulation was quite poor, having to listen to what sounded like a bowling match above us and a baby that was crying from midnight to about 4am. Breakfast is also disappointing, giving very meager poritions with the option to purchase more. I got the "protein breakfast" which included 2 prepacked hard-boiled eggs, and orange, and a small yogurt. Over all I found the price to be above average while the service and rooms were below average.

So clean! Love the view from the lake side of the hotel. Everyone is so friendly. Ive stayed here twice this year and both times I was happy I did.

Beautiful hotel! I did not stay, I just dropped off a food delivery. Smelled like vacation in there! Very clean, and seemed well maintained from the lobby and halls I saw. Cool layout.

Beautiful view! We loved having our breakfast delivered in the morning. The staff, to a person, were friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were clean- having a fridge and microwave were a nice touch too!

Came to stay in traverse city for a few nights on our honeymoon and had reservations at the seasons inn. When we pulled up there and saw how awful it looked we went across the road to the grand beach resort instead. We had an amazing stay in a beach view room with a beautiful view from our porch. The hotel was very clean and smelled lovely. The breakfast delivered to the room was nice too.

We frequent TC often and why we haven't stayed at this hotel sooner is beyond me. This hotel is awesome! It's very very clean! The front desk lady was very welcoming. They contact you throughout your stay to make sure everything is OK. The pool area is clean and great sized pool and hot tub. The only complaint and it's kinda my fault is they give you a card to fill out for breakfast. The choices are OK. I however forgot to turn it in and missed out. Why no breakfast buffet 😞 other then that I would highly recommend and stay again.
