I recently had the pleasure of staying at Beach & Lake Resort & Spa and I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. I really enjoyed it more this time. Warm thanks to everyone there, especially from the front desk making our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. It was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we could ask for. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our comfort was truly commendable. The staff in the dining area were also exceptional. Their warm and friendly demeanor made every meal a delightful experience. The breakfast and dinner options were varied and delicious, catering to all tastes and preferences. Overall, my stay at Beach & Lake Resort & Spa was nothing short of amazing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Rooms were nice. We got nice rooms with good view of the lake and beach. Will give a 5 ⭐for the view we got. Only drawback which i observed was there is not much of a campus in this resort. Since we got lucky our rooms were in the ground floor and there was place to sit outside the room. Otherwise have to sit on the balcony only. Not much campus to roam around. Pool was good. Overal my rating would be somewhere between 3&4

I write this as I am sitting at the balcony of my room at the resort. Very seldom would you get a property which is spread in three parts and which gives you a landscape view as this one. You see the sea, a barren beach, a river(back water) and lush greenery lined by coconut tree. Yes it's a 15 years old property, but does it matter when it's well kept, have smiling and courteous staff and good food. When u sit at the balcony of superior king size room and it's raining, the view and experience is just mesmerizing. If you do not like much crowd, i dare say that this resort is much better than sitting at any beaches nearby. Vipin and Prabhu gives you very caring service when u cross the Killi river to the resturant. The beds have good hard mattress which makes your sleep comfortable, The bathtubs are big with hot and cold water. If you come to Kovalam, I think you will miss something if you dont stay here. The more you stay the more you love this place, the initial look might make you little thinking though.

The views are great. You get taken to your room on a small ferry boat. The food is tasty. One minus is the cleanliness/equipment of the room could improve. The bedsheets and towels had stains and there was no place to put anything in the bathroom.

Food is outrageoualy expensive. You have to order food before 2 hours and that too you get very small quantity and that won't satisfy you. It's better to eat outside. Only good thing about this place is beach access and scenic view from balcony. Found rat droppings, lizards and also leftover soap from previous occupants in the room.

This place will be ideal if you're looking for an atmosphere where you would just spend time inside the resort by gazing at a scenic beauty. The staffs at hotel are very friendly and must say the location will leave you with a different experience. Although I found cost of the food matches to any 3 Star above accomodation hence eating out in the resort won't be pocket friendly.

One of the best hospitality I've seen. The room and restaurant is situated in an island for which they offer a boat ride for free. The swiming pool and reception is in the other bank so we need to take the boat to commute. A happy moment for kids. The location is a beach front and has a lake by its side where it meets the sea. Which is a special treat while the sunsets. Food is decent with limited options. Hospitality topped it all. We missed 2 mobiles in the hotel the management was kind enough to call and update us. Kudos for their friendly gesture.

Once again a nice quiet place, the property is divided into three parts. The Ayurvedic treatment area, the reception and the island area. The lake that separates the island, should have somehow been better well-kept as this was the only patch where we could see a lot of discarded objects floating along with the weeds, not a very pleasant view for a tourist location. The property is not very cheap. But well, we did enjoy our stay overall. Our reason for selecting this location was simply for not wanting to stay within the city but did not want to be too far away as well,

This place shows such great photos of the beach view. In reality the view of the beach is ugly. It's filled with silt and dirt. The lake is slowly turning to a drain channel. Hawks and crows are all around to pick on dead meat. The lake channel connects to the sea but the property never took any initiative to filter the dirt the enters the sea. For the amount they charge they should atleast contribute good to nature. They call themselves Ayurvedic but the food served was very bad added with artificial colours. Was very upset to see so much colour on my hand after lunch. The rooms were neat. But we did not enjoy the stay. There is no access to the beach.

The location is very interior. Even the welcome dri k was not served. They have their own rules and not much friendly reception people. Had Good rooms but the service was not upto marks. The TV was not working in most of our booked rooms. Even the morning tea and milk powder was not given even after we informed them. The hot water was not served when asked during our dinner time also too costly and less quantity. The breakfast was good and tasty as it was buffet otherwise not known about its quantity. The swiming pool was good, child enjoyed it, along its aide massage center too. No outdoor or indoor games available for children except the swimming pool. But quiet place to spend.

The hotel is situated somewhere between the lake and the beach in an isolated area. If u are looking to stay in a peaceful place where u don't want to visit the beach or you don't want any crowd then this Is the best one for you. I personally didn't like it because it was very isolated. The beach was far. No view. Nothing . Boring for me. I paid for 2days but checked out of the hotel immediately within an hour for the location.

We had short stay here... Bt it was totally worth each penny you pay. The swimming pool is the main attraction. U get a neat and clean pool with good privacy. The staff are very friendly and well mannered. There was no direct access to beach. Overall very good. Will definitely go there more. Not so child Friendly as full area surrounded by lake and sea.

Very beautiful and clean stay. Boat across the river to stay and enjoy. Beautiful beach and lake view from the balcony. There is a neatly maintained garden. You can enjoy walking around the garden and pool and enjoy the beauty. Please use mosquito repellents in the evening. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everybody welcomes you with a smile. There is also an ayurvedic treatment centre with a trained doctor but we did not opt for it as we stayed only for one night. Our package included breakfast. It was a buffet and was very delicious.

I have stayed here for more than 4 times and i still wish to go there every next time. The staffs are pleasant and they always serve with a smile. The view from the Balconies are awesome and you can enjoy your beer all nite in the serenity with the continuous ocean breeze passing you. You really need to experience this feeling, which i have noticed seldom in any resorts around.

Place with excellent view and ambience of both beach and lake. 2Mins complimentary boat ride to other side of the property was unique and was a great experience. Ayurveda Massage was very much relaxing. The doctor and therapist were very good. Staffs were very much caring and helpful.. Food was also tasty.. View from the Room was excellent and sitting in the balcony enjoying the beach and lake view watching the sunset was very beautiful.Will definitely recommend this place and will come back again

Worst experience ever. They are charging rs700 for a child 6 years of age, when the website state that child 6 and below is free... When asked they said it is for breakfast... Poor options for breakfast, my 6 year old only had bread, butter and jam for 2 days and I paid 1400. They have fixed menu, with sour idlies asked them for dosa, they said not available.. fruits limited options with banana ( they were raw)and watermelon. In house restaurant was very expensive and food not that good as well.. there is no access to the beach, when asked they open a gate back of the hotel and asked us to go on a hunt for the beach, where we found big rocks stacked with no access to beach. (We walked a long way hoping to play in the beach, tired walking we asked the local and they said there is no beach here). when we wanted to cancel the booking they upfront said not possible. The only way to reach the beach is via the river. As many others also wanted to go to the beach we had to argue and ask the management to drop and pick us after play at the beach.. We found lizards ( big and babies) in the room.. overall bad experience...

I have been to beach and lake multiple times. I love the location it’s very beautiful and scenic. Every part of the property has a unique charm that breaks your regular routine of busy and stress.. the rooms are well maintained and clean.. loved the food at the restaurant.. was delicious and full of flavour will recommend.. altogether love the stay @ beach and lake Ayurvedic resort. Had a short but sweet stay here. We were escorted to our room in a ferry that was to the other side of the lake. The room was clean and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the sea. Toiletries were provided and room had a mini fridge and electric kettle. We only had breakfast from the restaurant and it felt quite overpriced. There is no direct access to beach from the property.

This resort is only for Ayurvedic massage. That too only for full body massage. In the brochure other massages like back body, foot massage etc were mentioned. But they said these are not available only the full body massage is available. Service is very poor. Children will get bored here. No activities or area to even walk. We booked for 2 days but checked out the after first day as there is nothing to enjoy. Room pictures are edited. Room has bugs like cockroaches, lizards, bed bug. Bed is not at all good. We got body pain after waking up the next day. We opted for King Size Delux AC room. Very disappointed with the room. King size bed is 2 beds joined together!! Its called beach n lake resort. But we cant reach Beach from here. Only the view from a distance. So, we have to sit in the room all the time. Since we checked out 1 day early, got refund for that day. Only good thing was the sun set view. Food is average. In total disappointed for the price and not upto the mark. Wont suggest it to anybody.

Very good peacefull stay., We had to cross a small river by boat (1 minute ) for some of the rooms. We liked it., Things to improve: Restaurant is so costly which actually exceeded our cost of room. For ex: Tea 70 rs, biryani 350+ , omlette 100.

Less spacious... Less facilities.. Only the pool is good

Nice place to spend vacation especially new married couples, private island is the main attraction of here also Open air restaurant with traditional foods, also provide activities, live grill station etc

I love this place. That amazing location where you can get the views of lake and sea beach as well. The most exciting part for me is reaching to the cottage they will provide you a boat to cross the lake. That can make anyone mesmerized. So calm and clean place. I would like to mention about the staffs there, they are amazing so friendly so polite and well mannered. I'm totally impressed by everything. Now whenever I'll do plan make sure I'll sty here only. Can't explain in a few words that how beautiful this place is. And yes last but not the least those delicious breakfast / lunch and dinner. I can still feel the test. So amazing.

The stay n view is all very good, but the restaurant service to the rooms are not upto the mark. The order taken n delivered are very slow but the food is delicious. It'd be better to improve the service.

We went for resort stay with nice lake and sea water view. Best part we had to cross from reception to rooms by boat. It was really fun to have boat ride. The beach is at 2 mins walk. Its a clean and beautiful beach with lake water and sea water getting merged at a place, it's really nice view. The food was tasty but service was very slow. Very few persons available for service. Breakfast was average. Place is fantastic to stay, go for messages full body.

A sudden plan to have a one night staycation for my parents' anniversary... Very happy with the experience From booking to check-in to checkout. All were handled with special care. They even arranged for a surprise cake for my parents on special request and enjoyed every moment there. Will recommend the place if you are keen for a 5* hotel for a nice and calm get-away near the sea. A short boat ride to the rooms was also fun. Nice warm pool and beautiful scenery. Suggestions would be 1. They could include some meals options instead of having to order every item seperete as the south Indian food charges were not cheap compared to the amount we paid for the room including breakfast. But can't deny the fact that the food was really fresh and yummy. So we didn't feel much pinch for the price. 2. They could introduce some activity such as taking the guest to the beach, fishing etc as it's located at the estuary. 5* s for the heartwarming behaviour of the employees, yummy food and the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel compound. With lavish food ordering that included exotic fish fry - 2 rooms for 4 adults it costed less than 200USD for us.

I stayed here for 4 days and I must say that I am really very impressed with the over all services provided by the staff. I would like to give each and every staff thousand claps for wonderful stay experience at the hotel be it Receptionist, Chef, in room dining, housekeeping.If possible I would really request you to pass on my regards and message to all the staff members for exceptional service. All of them made me feel very comfortable and happy. (It's the team work that goes a long way) Thank you so much and I would love to recommend this hotel to everyone. Hats off to everyone. Decent place to stay and relax. Awesome location. Right at the place where the backwaters meets the sea. Good view from the room and cherry to the cake is the boat ride you have to take to cross the backwaters to reach the rooms from reception. Would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed at this beautiful resort for two days. The stay was comfortable and pleasant. Best part of this resort is they have a land hotel and an island hotel where we stayed so they have a boat to travel around. The room is spacious and has a balcony overlooking the sea where you can relax. Also, they have a separate area within the room for closet and changing. The food is tasty; they have chefs from Delhi and you will have to order two hours prior as they prepare everything fresh. Breakfast menu is lavish and you can also order eggs. The resort has also has a in-house physiotherapist providing ayurvedic massages who is humble and friendly.

Rooms were so neat and clean. The view from this room was fantastic. Really loved the place to stay.. for couples it's a beautiful place to stay and have the food on the other side of this resort.. even the view from the restaurant was also admiring. Food price is reasonable..

We went on a business trip… but ended up relaxing, due to the the great ambience and the sound of the sea in the background…. We had a stay for 5 days and totally enjoyed every second of it… Homely food was available… Kerala cuisine and also other cuisines were available on order… a good place to hold business meets as there is no need to go anywhere else… it is a business cum holiday location… Good facilities, boat rides etc were all in the vicinity and were arranged… a well thought concept.. thanks to all behind the scenes, for the wonderful experience…
