The Jungle Safari in Nava Raipur is so amazing. Its a place you must visit if you happen to be in Raipur. It is less than an hour from Raipur, but still you feel in a totally different world surrounded by Nature. You will be thrilled to watch a variety of wild life in the natural habitat. The entire place is well maintained. And I particularly liked the tour guide who was knowledgeable and passionate about conservation of wild life. Kids and adult both loved the place.

Large area, serene place but safari is available only for tiger, lion and deer. Ticket price are 100 per stag, zoo charges are 50 per stag as on Oct 2022. Parking available with 50 rupees car parking. Overall the place is good. Asia's largest man made safari.

If you are from Chhattisgarh or have come to visit Chhattisgarh from outside, then you must go to Jungle Safari. The fun of traveling with family, with children or with friends is different, in today's hectic life, there is nothing better than this to see wildlife so closely,When you are locked in a cage and the wild animal is roaming in the open forest near you, this moment fills you with excitement. You get to see a lot of birds and animals in the jungle safari zoo too.

Ticket (AC Rate) - ₹150 above 18 years | ₹50 below 18 years If you’re visiting Raipur, you must go for Nandanvan Jungle Safari. It offers safari - style tours through open areas with deers, tiger etc. Boating through the majestic streams was very soothing. You can book tickets for sailing on the spot.

Not so far from the main city, less than 1 hour drive/ride. One of the best places to visit if you are in Raipur. Ideal for a family outing, you need to book ticket in advance for jungle safari as it gets sold out during the weekend. Even though tickets are available at the counter but it is mostly sold out during the weekend and only zoo tickets are available. One member from the group will be tested for covid before entry is allowed in the premises. Once you enter, there will be buses to take you to the Zoo/Jungle Safari and while returning you can do boating as well. The zoo has many amazing animals like White Tiger, Lion, Leapord, Bengal Tiger, Hyena and many more. Even more animals will also be added soon and construction to accommodate the same is in progress. Overall a really great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

In Jungle Safari You can only see 4 Lions, Sambhar Deer and Impala and the ticket price is 100 so I don't recommend you jungle safari but it also has a zoo you can definitely visit their with your family. You can see lots of animals in zoo.

It's worth the money. It ia a man made sanctuary and zoo just in the corner of nava-raipur. It's an zoo-cum-safari. We booked zoo+safari. Didn't cost us much. There is a waiting hall where you can wait for your turn to come. There is a snacks store to spend time. It's worth the time and money. The safari bus is fully covered and air-conditioned. You can get non-ac bus also. And we're lucky enough to see tiger and lion closely And lastly the zoo has many type of creatures. If you want, you can go. FINAL VERDICT: 1. Safari is must. 2. Zoo is optional.

This Place is in New Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It is Very well maintained Zoo and Safari, Both services are different. Zoo is open for all and doesn't need much amount to travel there. Safari is the other service for which they'll provide Different types of bus service Like AC or Non AC Quite far from the Old Raipur and Its quite good for Budding wildlife photographers📸❤️ as you can do your photography from the Travelling four wheeler. City Bus service is there for all the Travellers to reach the destination, If the service would not be available, You can also use public transport to get here.

NANDANVAN JUNGLE SAFARI Naya Raipur city is developing into a world class city. It is vision of the Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh to create a world class Zoo & Safari in Naya Raipur. In fact this is one of his dream project. The proposed area is adjoining the Botanical Garden. The whole area, thus shall be developed as a conservation, recreational and educational site. Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Naya Raipur will provide pleasing experience to the visitors not only about the local wildlife but also about national wildlife. The exhibits care and awareness will be of such a level to promote conservation of wildlife. Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Naya Raipur will endeavour to breed the endangered species in a planned manner for display, exchange and rehabilitation in the wild. This zoo & safari will be a showcase of nature for the visitors, nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Crocodile Exhibit will display Marsh Crocodile (Crocodylus palustris) in their natural habitat in a total area of 9,500 sq.m., with 350 sq.m. of holding-pan area to feed them. A small & a large sand bed is also developed for Basking for these elongated, robust powerful jaw bearer crocodiles. The complete area is fenced with 2m high chain link fence. In India three different species of crocodiles are found : marsh crocodile, selt-water crocodile and gharial. Royal Bengal tiger is developed in total area of 2430 SQM that includes paddock area of about 1945 SQM and dry moat. The lion enclosure is constructed in a huge area of 2550 SQM with dry moat and 2511 SQM paddock area. Nandanvan Jungle Safari has already attracted a lot of attention. The LEOPARD ENCLOSURE encompasses an area of 2070 SQM. The WHITE TIGER ENCLOSURE enclosure tries to offer tigers a varied and naturalistic habitat. This enclosure contains a paddock area of 1999 SQM and dry moat in the total area of 2590 SQM. HISTORY Established in 1979, The Nandanvan mini Zoo, Raipur, is a striving endeavour in form of a rescue shelter for animals in distress. The zoo is a recreational hub that serves as an educational centre besides being a haven for rescued animals. In 2008, CZA (Central Zoo Authority) granted the status of a mini zoo to Nandanvan. It's been the paramount attraction for the people of Raipur.

This is a planned Jungle Safari along with a zoo located in Naya Raipur. Earlier the zoo was located in Old City and with the expansion of this zoo, more and more animals are being relocated here. Presently White Tiger, RBT, Asiatic Lion, Leopard, Spotted Dear, Blue Bull, Black buck, Crocodile, Hippo, Otter etc are there. Cage for snakes, Porcupine and various birds are under construction. Overall a good number of animals are there. Inside the zoo, there is a kids park with a canteen nearby where one can get chips, cold drinks, maggi, bread pakoda etc. One can also take hoom cooked food or food which are not wrapped in polythene. Alongside is located a jungle safari where one can spot wild animals and dears if visit during morning hours or during evening time. During mid-day spotting them may be a challenge. Entry fee for adults is Rs.50/- for zoo and Rs.100/- for safari. Parking is also available and for four wheelers they charge Rs 50/-. Overall a good fun place for family and kids.

I urge everyone living in Chhattisgarh to visit this beautiful sphere of wildlife at least once in their lifetime. Not only is it an exciting place for leisure and learning actively about wildlife—but also greatly helps the Safari management to proactively finance the well-being of animals. A good chunk of garden area - especially at the onset of Jungle Safari is affected by poor management. Possibly due to lack of funds. But once you step inside the Safari zone, it's all very well maintained. Specially the Safari Zoo is one of the most well-maintained premises inside. Speaking of Safari, it's the Royal Bengal Tiger who is largely the centre of attraction on these grounds. The fierce in his eyes is absolutely electrifying!! Then there are a total of three lions (males and females, both). Great sight to watch them running on those fields! Not to forget the sweet species of deers that vastly cover the majority of this jungle. There are hyenas, bison, otters, wild dogs, snakes, a white tiger and a leopard—that all combined form a strong suit of wildlife celebration uniquely segmented in this beautiful landscape called Jungle Safari. A note on our Guide Saab who has been such a sport during our Safari tour. It was truly a pleasure to hear you talk about wildlife conservation. The way you explained everything speaks so much of your love for animals, which I for one have immense respect for. You are amazing!

It's a huge jungle safari park located in naya Raipur. All kinds of species of animals are covered here from monkeys to tigers to lion. One can go with family and friends and enjoy a lot. Animals are visible clearly from the vehicle. The best time to visit this park is in the month of Feb-March as there is no large bushes so animals are clearly visible and the month is cool and dry.

Today, on 4th July 2021 I went first time with my 4 friends for safari only. Here, you have two different visit spot 1) Jungle safari and 2) Zoo. Both have their own attractions. But I visited only Jungle safari of rupees 100 each for non ac bus tickets. Each bus has 18 seats. During Jungle safari we found lots of deers and only one Tiger and only One Lion. The trip was not so exciting but okay. And then within one hour we just get back. Overall the experience was OK.

Good place to explore the wildlife with family and friends. There are two options, you can take the jungle safari or visit the zoo or you can take both. We couldn't make it to jungle safari, for that make sure to book tickets earlier from counter or you can book online. They still need some improvement inside the jungle for animals and visitors perspective.👍🏻🫡

It's a man made jungle. It is situated in Naya Raipur. There are two options for visitors i.e. Jungle Safari and Zoo. The herbivorous section is quite good with a large number of animals . It is well maintained and a very nice place for outing with family and friends.

I have visited on 26.11.2023. Very unsatisfied with the service as the all the safari had not been visited by the crew as they have said they are closed and the entire tour ended within 30-40 minues. First of all there is no cordination for the safari bus and zoo bus. and after there is no person who can give clear view when bus is coming no help. For the zoo site the condition is worst old people and kids have to go by walking and it is too far from main gate to reach zoo. At least Authorities have to make the arrangements have been made. It is for the VVIP persons. Ohter persons have to face it. I am not very much satisfied with jungle safari.

Visited the safari for the first time. Safari expands to a vast area, around 1200 acre according to the guide. A lot of scope to grow, a lot of promise for future. As of now not a lot to offer. 4 sections in safari, Deer, Bear, Tiger and Lion. Only a pair each of Lion and tiger, that too one of them each are in cage.. a lot of deers though. Guide on safari tour are w good and knowledgeable. Zoo too is spread but as of now very few animals to boost of. Highlight being white tiger, royal bengal tiger and 3 hippopotamus. But many enclosures are yet to be occupied. Also a very good canteen to have snacks from...

Waiting lounge for safari bus is not good for summer times. There are A/C vents but not in working condition. There fitted coolers but not sufficient for weekend crowd. Many buses are break down so Waiting time for safari bus may be bad experience for families specially with kids.

This is below average place due to worst maintained, arrogant management. In hell lot of rain this place should be closed as 1. no animals will be visiible. 2. Open safari van will make you complete wet inside vehicle. Thought covered-glass buses will be available they will tell you with lot of attitude "Isi me jana padega"... 3. They will misguide you to buy zoo tickets as mandatory... Online we booked for safari only the ticket counter guy forced to buy zoo tickets.... Due to rain we didn't went to zoo and not even provided refund... On top of that they argued for why you took we asked to take.... 4. As guide predicted that tiger can be easily available, and tourist are wet and no place to sit - he get down in between safari and joined back at end.. Limited no of animals you can see during safari Not visited Zoo People are not welcoming as government need to sustain the cost... Bus - Seat condition is shown in picture attached Rest choice is yours.....
