We visited this resort as a group of 15 people including 5 kids of different ages. This place is a well maintained island. You can park your car, they provide a boat to reach the island. It has a big playground that keeps the kids busy and happy. The food is very tasty. The Rooms are fine, not very luxurious. The staff is very supportive and helpful. Visited this resort with friends and their family(8 adults and 6 children ). We have to park our cark at a location after Poothotta (parking for around 10 cars max) and take their boat to the resort. Initially they take us for boating directly and so remember to take all your required items from the car and change to a swimming costume in the boat if you are ready to enter the lake. The resort can be rated as an average one having about 5 acres of land. Facilities are not maintained well according to our expectations . The owner was available at the resort during our visit and was very friendly and available to attend to the guest needs. We took a day package and the main highlight of the trip was a 3hrs day boating trip in the vembanad lake. In that the most exciting part is being able to get into the lake in a middle portion where the water level is only upto your knees. Lunch at the resort(ela sadhya) was below average (only a single non veg fish curry and 2 to 3 veg dishes). The resort has some play areas for small kids and a swimming pool for kids and adults. The resort also has some birds, rabbits, ducks, swans etc. Amount per person was Rs. 850 and some additional charges were also there in the final bill (food and water provided in boat, room usage, pool usage) which made our final tally to Rs. 1000 per head. Overall enjoyable if you don't expect any sort of luxury and be prepared for a village life experience

Over charged for using conference hall more time which wasn't notified to us. It was due to rain we waited in the confence hall. Pooor sevice . Greedy owner

One of the worst resort i visited ever. Not worth for the 850 rs.Only 2 hour house boating and lunch.Other activities are waste. Pedal Boat need 10 more people to push the pedal. Kayaking is not maintained. I think they have to maintain the activities. No proper guiding and coordination. When we asked,only they provided the items and gave proper direction.

Its an excellent place for family get together or hangout with friends. A very quiet place and nice ambience, we visited last month along with our family members. Childrens have lot of space to play and feel the nature. Pool is well maintained. Another highlight is the food, it was awesome, I really appreciate the chef for making delicious food as per our required time. Also the management is very friendly and cooperative, you will feel like you have visited one of your relatives place. I strongly recommend Green Island Resort.

Good location to enjoy a whole day with family and friends. The resorts provide 2hrs boating to deep backwaters of kerala which is one of main attraction of this resort facilities.

We booked two cottages for a get together with friends. The cottages that we got where towards one end of the island which was brilliant because we could keep our privacy. The view from the cottage was brilliant. The food will be prepared in their kitchen if you give food order along with the booking. The food quality is good and we even had a barbeque for an extra charge. The staff is very co-operative and they will make all the necessary help.

Green Island Resort, Poothotta is an amazing location for spending your week ends in an thrilling way...it's an island at Poothotta east and Kanjiramattom..one can reach there through boat from Poothotta..it's a very good place for spending with friends and couples..there is a big natural lawn with natural ponds, lakes and water sheddings..one can catch fishes from the ponds..there is a swimming pool also within the resort..the rooms are good and service is fine...

Felt like resort is recently started and there is lot of potential for development. The boating prior to reaching resort is awesome and can be comparable to the one in Kumarakom and in Alappey (Alapuzha). Food served was rice and some authentic kerala dishes which felt homely.

One of the best resorts to spend a whole day or stay over nights. The interesting part is that they will take you in a boat and to a place in the centre of the wide spread back water, where you can get into the water is the depth is just your waist level. Even kids can get into the water here. Nice place

An amazing and homely getaway place in Kerala. Friendly staff and scenic environment is a plus. They do host small gatherings from corporates and family get togethers which was amazing to witness. Also they have curated some activities that you can do in the property and a well maintained and clean pool to take a dip

We went as a group for a day outing. Rooms are decent and there is enough playing area for kids with swings,slide, merry go round etc. Food was good, though not excellent. The activities like pedal boating, kayaking etc need improvement. There's just one old outdated pedal boat and 2 kayaks and the area provided for their use is not maintained well. It didn't feel safe to use them. These amenities need to be improved.

We were 4 people all boys. Superb place to spend a quality day. Awesome place for families too. Pool is good and well maintained. There is a playing area as well. The person who spoke to us was Mr Jose the owner himself, nice person.

Good food,fare rate. All good stops here. No privacy in resort as they accept day package. Those people sits on our varandas and chat, forced to sit inside rooms during day time. Paid 4800 + 1400(my kids of 11 and 13 age) for cottage with 1 bed room but provided only 1 towel, 1 brush and a paste with only one additional bed. Really struggled to manage this night. Manager didn't pick the phone at 8 PM or respond to my call to solve the issue. Pathetic customer management by in charge. Contacted well and communicated positive till we reach the premises. No support after that. Night care taker was a supporting person but couldn't contact him as we don't have his phone number. I stayed here twice before in 2018 and 19. With that experience, I lead my family including cousins but highly disappointed. Feels like cheated, lost nearly 25k on stay.

It's an awesome property with outdoor nature friendly big pool really enjoyed it's kids friendly too with a spacious garden outdoor activities kayaking, basketball, swimming, boating especially the location easy to access ayurvedic treatments are also available

It's one of the best resorts in and around poothotta. It is located near the poothotta backwaters. The ambience is good. But the rooms could have been better. The service of the employees was good. They have a decent swimming pool and have the facilities available for kayaking and pedal boating. The food was ok but not that great. Its a good place for a one day outing.

The experience of living in a resort was something we will always cherish. Green Island property have vast area of land thereby giving you the private space and time for yourself and with your loved ones. The rooms were beautiful and squish clean with all amenities to make our stay comfortable and perfect. The food options were many and taste was top-notch and the staff were friendly and on their toes doing their best. It was a perfect weekend getaway that provided us the much needed peace away from the city madness that each one of us seeks.

One of the best natural resort in Ernakulam district. Very much satisfied with the resort and its beautiful surroundings. This resort situated in an island, so literally you are moving away from the hustle and bustle of the city. To reach the resort you have to rely on a boat , the boat journey itself bring the charm. You can do lots of activities in the resort. As well you get delicious food there. There is a scope of developments in the resort to elevate it to a better one. Overall we had a good experience.
