Ok food.. a kind of a canteen where the people working in nearby court and collectrate have food... Simple and cost effective food.... pls don't expect hifi or a multi cuisine type

I know this restaurant since 1996. I am familiar with the family who runs this restaurant. It won't be an exaggeration if I tell that the chappathy and porotta and the kuruma tastes still the same as I enjoyed 23 years back. Masala Dosa and channa battura are fantastic here. So many memories here . In 1996 I was preparing for my MBBS entrance exam under the guidance of Radha Krishnan sir and nambeesan sir. I miss valsettan, Gigi and Sunil here. I have been visiting swamys once in 3 years at least. Our pellisery Lodge is a memory now even though mash officers Lodge is still there.

Good option for vegans. Situated very close to the civil station, the restaurant is quite busy always. Tried masala dosa and vada. Both were nice. Wash area is neat. Digital payment accepted. Satisfactory service provided.

All the food stuff served here are excellent in taste and sumptuous for our stomatch. Suitable for common man's pocket. The hotel caters to the regular staff working in the Civil Lines and the courts. The hotel is just off the West Fort area and Poomkunnam is not far away. Town buses are plenty to this side. Started in 1969 in a humble way, the growth of the hotel is phenomenal. The present proprietor is Sri. V G Kannan whose expertise in the area of culinary management has earned the public acclaim that this Hotel is not just another hotel but, is rightly the 'Taste of Trichur'.

Swamy's cafe is a small vegetarian restaurant located bang opposite to the ayyanthole civil station. The ambience isn't much to talk about but the hotel is tidy and well kept. The service is very fast and there is always a crowd here. Food is quite taasty especially masala dosa. Rates are a bit on the higher side given the size and ambience.

I have visited this place a few times. The food and service is good. Usually found to be crowded on working days, because it is opposite to civil station. Good for vegetarians and pricing is also competitive.

The food here is really good. I usually have Masaladosa and Uzhunnuvada. Both yummy. Not too costly too. There isn't much of an ambience to mention, but it's well maintained. The staff here is also really friendly. I usually have breakfast from here weekly. Would definitely suggest this restaurant for quick bites and breakfast.

It was a national strike day and they were serving food for free on all Strike days. And you may donate any amount u wish in their charity box. Batura and chana served here is a signature dish. Its a purely vegetarian restaurant. A fine place to visit with your family and for a budget and hygienic experience. Usually bit crowded.

Known for giving free food during hartal, this is a famous hotel in the area with a long history. It's always abuzz with people and it a favourite of the lawyers and officers from the collectorate nearby. They charge a slight premium over other vegetarian hotels of the same ambience but the place is really hygienic and the food is tasty. Thier Uzhunnu vada with pudina chutney is a must try during tea time. Thier chana batura with salad is also an another delicacy to try which is surprisingly not mentioned on the menu and is only available after noon. The only downside is that they close rather early at 8 PM.

I went there to have tea at afternoon,i had masala dosa and tea. I can say about the food that not bad but not very much tast an average restaurant and there has been shown they serve Chinese items also as i had went in afternoon i didn't try it but I feel as it's a pure vegetarian hotel their dosa items and tea/coffee should be very good for customer then only we can say it's a good restaurant.

On 14th July 2020 I had visited swamys cafe in Ayanthol and orderd Meals. Absolute Garbage Food, Sambar had no salt and there was no Good Side dishes one was an Chutney and other was Banana Plant Stem dish. Even the Rasam was mediocre at best. And for the meals I had to pay astonishing 70rs. It felt like my Hostel food was far better than this
