Private
Hospital
that
prioritizes
making
profits:
Be
careful
and
get
second
opinion
before
accepting
the
hospital/doctor's
advice
here.
My
experience:
My
aged
family
member
was
taken
to
this
hospital
after
a
mild
episode
last
year.
While
he
appeared
fully
normal
at
the
hospital
afterwards,
they
conducted
some
emergency
tests
and
immediately
recommended
an
expensive
and
intrusive
procedure
on
him,
citing
some
small
abnormalities
in
his
test
results.
Some
observations/experiences
that
made
me
uncomfortable
about
the
hospital
--
1.
Instead
of
the
doctor,
they
employ
few
low
skilled
customer
management
staff
to
interact
with
the
patients
bystanders
and
inform
about
the
doctor's
recommendations.
In
my
case
it
was
a
boy
in
his
20s
who
was
interfacing
between
us
and
the
doctor
-
his
job
was
to
inform
us
about
the
doctor's
advice,
cost
of
the
procedure/treatment,
etc.
and
get
us/coerce
us
into
agreeing.
Luckily
we
asked
for
time
to
consult
an
outside
doctor
for
second
opinion
and
decided
against
it.
2.
These
customer
management
staff
appear
well
trained
to
gauge
the
financial
condition
of
the
patient
and
bystanders.
I
always
felt
an
uneasy
feeling
around
them
as
they
would
keep
inquiring
about
by
profession
,
sneak
into
my
wallet
while
making
payments,
etc.
to
assess
my
paying
capabilities.
3.
The
doctor
hardly
provided
us
face
time
for
us
to
understand
the
situation.
Most
of
the
time
we
dealt
with
the
customer
staff
and
other
hospital
staff.
It
just
felt
as
if
the
doctors
are
try
to
avoid
facing
patient
families
directly
due
to
the
ethical/moral
responsibilities
involved.
