I went with my mom to the restaurant. The food was good but the manager's behaviour was not. Everyone who comes to a restaurant would like to choose their own table. But today we were asked forcefully to sit along with someone else even though there were lot of vacant tables. The reason they said that it was just two of us and all the empty tables are for four+ people. We had lot of dress packages in our hand and we had to place it on the floor which blocked our way to the seat and i had to jump over it to sit. I have been to many restaurants which are crowded than this one. But I haven't faced any such issues so far from any restaurants. This is my first time facing such bad behaviour. If this restaurant was full and crowded, i would have sat on someone else's table. But this was not the case. The restaurant should teach their employees especially the managers on how to behave to the customers.

I found it to be quite crowded, which was a bit overwhelming. The service was good, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. But it was okay. Additionally, I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant only accepts cash for payment, which may be inconvenient for some customers.

Very horrible experience from waiter named Venu - table 2! Today we 4 (2 women and 2 kids) had gone to this restaurant for lunch. While giving our order for main course and drinks, we were asked to comply to the waiter's choice cuz he said that different dishes might take more time and the customers were in usual number as well, wasn't much crowded. We were moderately satisfied and we kept the amount as per the bill first since we didn't have change to leave a tip and were about to search for it. The waiter came and took the check presenter by then. To our surprise, the nice and lovely waiter suddenly became furious when he came to know that we didn't leave a tip. He literally threw the check presenter on to our table and asked us to pay it at the counter ourself and started murmuring something negative when he left.... really disrespectful and a cheap attitude just because we didn't leave a tip. This happened twice and not just once. It was more like he's demanding a tip and that he had provided a lovely hospitality which in reality he didn't. Hotel owner and the management must teach the waiters and staff how to behave to their customers first before hiring them. It's the customer's right to decide if they want to leave a tip or not. With respect to the ambience and food, it's nice and tasty. But all of these just turns into a bad experience only because of the waiter's attitude. The hospitality is good until the moment arrives to pay the bill without a tip haha.

Very bad experience.We waited for long and got something. They even don't have dishes mentioned in menu ., No nans.. juice..shakes..only some items they have.. Waste of time going over there.The food is also not good. My other friends also went there and same experience. The name with Chinese restaurant but don't have anything.!

serves some of d tastiest dishes in town.. i'v tried their indian & chinese dishes.. mughalai chicken,crispy fried sesame chicken,beef cocnut fry ,triple rice ,veg fried rice, mint lime..everytng is just spot on... i alwyz come back for more.. i'v also had fish curry meals,prawns & fish biriyani,chicken biriyani n veg biriyani- fish curry meals were too gud-tastiest fish curry i'v had recent do try it out.. absolutely luv tis place.. excellent service.. bit xpensive but totally worth it....

Very cheap service. They has a watchman or someone outside the restaurant who calls us to have their delicious ( low quality ) food. I was with my friend and we were so tired at that time ( approx 12.00 pm). So we decided to have lunch at world famous India gate. The name is India gate and the service and the food is just pattikaadu low level. I am not telling that pattikaadu as a bad place, you can compare the quality of their food items with this colloquial. Even though they have a huge menu like chappathi, biriyani, fried rice with side dishes like chicken 65, chilly chicken and naadan chicken curry, they are finding peace for charging the drinking water which I don't think that it is a mineral water ( I felt so ). The chappathi and chicken chilly which we had from there was just below low-level. Don't go for this worst service guys. Instead of this you can have food from so many other restaurants in Thrissur.

Very high rate. We get lunch from there. Rs 5445 for 15 person. Only eat 15 chicken fried rice cost 175, 3 chilly chicken 180 cost 7 korean chicken 230(not tell the price they before order) 7 bottle water cost 70(only cheap ) Lemon juice cost 35 per glass 17 Its not a worth. Not reasonable price.

Interiors are basic and so is the staff! If you are looking for 'meals' or something with rice, be there before 2pm or call and see if rice is available. Peak time is during lunch hours and be ready to wait for a table and the chaos that goes with overcrowding in small places! I don't think the place offers table reservations. As far as food is concerned, stick to local food. Anything 'fancy' or 'North Indian' or even 'Chinese' will probably leave you disappointed. For instance, their 'Kerala Porotta' is acceptable but their 'Chapati' is appalling! Overall, food is just adequate enough to fill your tummy but nothing more. Your experience of this restaurant will depend on your expectations. Locals will find this place 'adequate' but if you are a tourist looking for an experiential meal, you may want to look elsewhere. Also, while the restaurant itself is on the 'Palace Road', the parking lot is on the side road connecting the Palace Road and the Korappath Lane.

The place was unclean a person sitting near to our table has omitted down on the floor and they didn't clean it for almost 20min and the food we ordered was OK but there was a special biriyani like food we ordered that not that tasty

At peak time , Management should consider and must be ready for the crowd, it’s really embarrassing to wait until the crew to clean and arrange… Hope the management will take this as a positive feedback and improve maximum customer happiness

Food is good. Dining area is also okay. Parking is available behind the building... If you have the patience to wait for their sweet time to take order. The only restaurant of the kind in the whole street. Luch time is busy and hardly two waiters for taking orders which is making things little messy...

I had manjurian rice yesterday for lunch by around 4 pm . It was very cold and didn’t taste good. I didn’t had any food there after . By night ,i was having severe diarrhoea n fever. I went to dr n is taking medication for food poisoning now. And also the behavior of manager aint good . He’s forcing us to move to another table saying wer only 2. The quality of service available in a restaurant is as important as the quality of the food.Uncleaned tables no proper taking of customer order..very rude behaviour of staff.. i went to this restaurant seeing 3.5 rating..but this restaurant deserve even less score..food is great but service quality worst.

We ordered chicken fried rice and 1 gravy type chicken & 1 fried chicken. All 3 items were very bad quality. We can't eat half of the fried rice in the bowl. Because it was very poor. Chicken was very salty. And the masala also very bad. They also charged 35/- for parcels. The food not worth the price they buy.

First of all,the ambience is superb. The quantity of food, one serving is enough for 2 people when it comes to fried rice. The waiters are friendly but not attentive to the customers.

Visited this place last week. Horrible chicken biriyani. It was simply yellow rice cooked with excess essence served with chicken roast. We normally visit this restaurant once a year, earlier the food was good but this time it was disappointing.

very bad behaviour from the staff. didn't even ask to order until we called them like 5 times. and ignored us. there was also confusion among waiters and offered us different bevarages.

Whoever dines in this restaurant , please double check the bill , they had charged extra amount for a water bottle and when I asked for new bill , the manager and waiters denied to provide a revised bill and asked me to pay the lesser amount deducting price of the water bottle. However after all the discussions , I paid the revised amount via UPI, after which the receptionist was taunting me for loosing the “argument”. When a customer asks for a revised bill , it is to be provided by the business if the error is from the business’s end. Here , instead of this , the manager and receptionist insisted they can’t provide me a revised bill; which I agreed to , in the end was misbehaving with me in a taunting manner for asking questions! If they can’t edit / discard/ generate a revised bill/ they should not make these errors in the first place!

This hotel is a familiar name to shoppers and office goers at Palace Road Thrissur mainly because there are not many choices of decent hotels in this part of the town. They have recently modernized the place and currently both veg and non veg items are available at one place. Went in recently with a friend to have lunch. Ordered fried rice and gobi manchurian with gravy. The fried rice was barely ok but the manchurian was a disaster. It had an overload of soya sauce and no flavour whatsoever was discernible except that of the sauce. It was one of the worst side dishes I have had. I have had their dosas in the past and they were always good. It has been a gap since I came in and felt disappointed at the dismal fare that was served. The hotel has a lot of visitors as the choice for alternative dining is scarce here and I think they need to improve the quality of the chinese items they serve. Have not had their thali meals yet.
