The service here is very good.. but the food is not so good.. because I ordered an alpham, tandoori roti. But the alpham was horribly spicy.. similarly the mayonnise was pretty sour.. finally ordered a lime juice. I got the lime juice that I had made earlier.. I could not drink it full, because of the bitterness.. I need to pay more attention to the food. They charge a terrible price.

To be honest, tried their Chicken tikka biriyani yesterday. Seriously, it's just a random normal biriyani. Not the best but yeah you can try if you want to. Not recommending. doesn't live up to my expectations. And also I think it is over priced.

Good place for Biriyani. Especially for Chicken Biriyani. It's really nostalgic and good food served. Service is just OK only. They expanded in very good areas and floors in these 3-4 decades of business. Service remains the same or less. They feel like monopoly or they will get a client mind set. Service can be careful and let clients have a memorable time with your restaurant.

Simply overrated, the biryani was just ok, no flavour and bloody they charged 180 for that mix of boiled rice and chicken roast(I mean their biryani). They dont even provide tissues, if u ask for it they will give it as per the demand and the size of the bill..haha.

Great place if you want to have a good quality biryani, but... Most of the other food on the menu is overpriced. The quality of food, hygiene standards and the whole ambience is nice. Service is also not bad. Overall opinion, would recommend the place but depends on how much you're willing to spend and eat.

It is a renowned hotel in the town.There is a pretty large space available both AC and Non AC. There is a place to park cars. The dining room is kept immaculately. We consumed the biryani. It had a great flavour. The railway station and bus stop are both close to this location. It is a place where you can feel free to eat, while traveling in public transport.

Large hotel, neat and clean, crowded. Tried Biriyani, not bad, but the quantity is low as compared to other hotels. But the bill is very good, of course. Since a lot of waiters are there, you don't have to wait for long. Two-wheelers can park in front of the hotel, but the car parking is kind of far, considering the traffic.

They were serving one of the best biriyani in town. But we had bad experience for the lunch. Chicken chilly we ordered was not even close to the chicken chilly. They charged 360₹ for the chilly which was a disaster. It was so sweet and oily. They doesn't have the courtesy to admit it was bad. Real bad attitude from the management and staffs. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Hotel sapphire is renowned for its biriyani. I tried it by hearing others review. The atmosphere is good and though there are so many customers, the food is served fast. liked the service but the price is very high. didn't find anything special about the food

One of the best non-veg restaurants in Trissur. This place delivers really good Biriyani. And thus it's really crowded. During peak time (12-2 pm) you would be compelled to stand in line in order to get a seat. But the food is worth the rush. Last time i went at almost 2.30pm and it was packed. Had to share a table. But would absolutely go there again.

Posting this review after 6..7 visits. Biriyani, porotta, beef roast...felt average taste and quality. Not worth the hype though. Last time we had biriyani rice and chicken fry...rice had no flavor at all and chicken fry served was pathetic. When we told suggestions regarding the quality of food, staff were not even welcoming to accept those. I don't know how this place was before, but now for such a price; food they serve and attitude of staff makes this place highly not recommendable.

They kept the place clean and well maintained. Enough seating is available. There are lots of people to serve us. When we visited, there was not that much crowd. Seats were available. They also have rooms to stay other than the restaurant. Food is good. They provide dine in as well as take out. Didn't delay to serve food. The cost for food is not expensive.

The old taste is a dream now. Yet they serve the best Thalassery Biryani in town. Recently renovated. The vintage structure is gone. Porotta and Chicken fry is a must try. Good noon vegetarian breakfast options are available.

Decent restaurant. Spacious and crowded too. There’s big hype of their biriyani but the one I got today ( first time here) was just average. The piece of fish inside was unbelievably small too. Most importantly please invest in a decent wash room and toilet space.

Food here is top class and i don't have to review that but, I'm rating it down because in this Digital world where every bills are computerised, these guys still in the ear of "കുത്തി കൊറിച്ച് ഡോക്ടർമാർ എഴുതുംപോലെ ഒരു ബില്ല്" (gives bill like how doctors write and give it to you where you need to guess your items ordered and thereby makes the customers to think suspicious over your waiters who delivers it) is given to the customers. This is really absurd!! Upgrade yourself this is 2022.

It has a pleasant ambiance in which to sit and eat. They are retaining their goodwill and quality by having well-behaved employees and a pleasant atmosphere. It is a well-known restaurant in the town. Biriyani is fantastic; it's the finest spot to bring family and friends to eat. I'm extremely at ease sitting here; it's a conventional, wonderful restaurant. Chicken AlFam was a complete waste of money, but the biriyani was delicious and filling. They are charging a hefty price for the food. Everything else is wonderful and good.

How sad it is when you hear the hype for a restaurant and decide to give a try and find it totally disappointing.... Ordered a chicken biriyani after struggling to find a table to sit while being amazed of the crowd buzzing in the restaurant... Expectation was high and growing coz of the vibe there... But... The moment the taste of the biriyani filled my mouth all the buildup turned out to be a disaster. Feeling sorry for my friend whom I urged to join me to taste the best biriyani at Thrissur.

Had fish Biriyani today. It used to be better in my college days. Fish was dry fried and even the dum could not make it soft. All ingredients seems very good , hats off to the purchasers. Those who want to park can avoid the parking space Opposite to railway station and advised to use the parking near the north entrance of KSRTC Station- there is a right road after the hotel and you can see the parking after 30 meters approximately.

Thrissur Sapphire Hotel is famous for their biriyani. I tried it before as well. This time I tried the chicken biriyani and am totally disappointed with it. The rice was cooked properly and chicken was okay okay but the masala was a disaster. The taste of the nutmeg spice was over in it and which ruined the complete taste of my biriyani. The taste of biriyani was heaven in earlier days and these days its just their fame which is attracting the business. Not a recommendation from my side. Yesterday when I purchased porotta and chicken curry for dinner, it was found to be of very poor quality. Poorly cooked porotta, Peasmasala and rotten chicken! I have never expected this type of food from a three decade old hotel where I used to visit. Is it due to Covid disruptions?

This used to be a great place to have biriyani. But unfortunately the standard of food has come down quite a bit. Still the dishes are tasty but there is definitely scope for improvement. The place is always over crowded and there are no proper mechanism to manage the din and bustle. If proper steps are not taken to improve the quality of food and service, we might have to see this one going down the drain.

I have ordered a sapphire special chicken item for 365 rupees but it was very bad. You cannot chew because the chichen was so hard. I could not eat anything as dinner yesterday so that I was so sad not only regarding money but a restaurant in city is so degraded with respect to food.

Chicken biriyani was a average one. Rice quality was good and chicken was also well cooked. Problem was on masala. Masala was a little over spicy and burnt. Usually sapphire's chicken biriyani used to the best in Thrissur, but now it's not the case. It's just a regular biriyani we can easily available in any hotels. Had porotta and egg curry from here. Porotta was good but egg curry wasn't upto the mark. it didn't have any kerala style taste.

Mutton biriyani: mutton peices were hard and flavourless. The quantity of rice was pathetic. I am pretty sure my 7 year old nephew would ask for another plate after he is done with one. The quantity and quality is poor. Chicken biriyani: the chicken pieces were good. The quality of the biriyani lives up to its name. However, like the mutton biryani, the quantity of rice was pathetic. Verdict: sapphire is an established restaurant; it is also well placed, being only 200 metres from the railway station. These factors has made the administration complacent. The food quantity and quality therefore suffers. Therefore, if you are in a hurry and have to catch a train fast or is tired from a train journey, sure, eat from here. But if you want something better for the 170rs you give for the chicken biriyani, do try out other options like Akshaya, Alankar et cetera.

Regarding the food, this restaurant is one of the best in the district especially for the biryani that is being served. The only concern is the crowded environment that we cannot say anything against the restaurant , it is because of the exclusivity of dishes.

The biriyani from Sapphire hotel is a must have. Perfectly spiced and fragrant rice, meat that melts in your mouth and the right amount of masala. The porottas are flaky outside and soft inside always served hot. Small cubicles, meant for families for 4-5, just lets you munch on without have to bother about table etiquettes.
