Nice bar, both Ac and Non Ac, rooms are extra ordinary, premium rooms are available there, there is quiet big open stage for marriage and other functions, can accommodate many vehicle because of big packing.

Terrible hospitality. Facilities look really good but the customer dealing by the manager is really pathetic. They will come up with unusual terms and conditions in the last minute and as a customer, we will have to deal with all these end of the day. I don’t recommend anyone to plan any function/ celebrations there. The attitude in customer dealing is really pathetic. My personal experience: We had to cancel our planned event there in the last minute due to the arrogance of their customer relations management, which is very disappointing and forced me to compromise on plans with other alternative arrangements in the very last moment.

Disappointing Experience at Merlin International for Pre-Marriage Ceremonies I made a reservation at Merlin International for my pre marriage ceremonies, three months in advance. At the time of booking, no mention was made of any additional charges beyond the agreed-upon terms. However, the atmosphere drastically changed just days before the event, as unexpected hidden charges were suddenly introduced, along with a series of unexpected hassles that disrupted the seamless flow of the event. One of the major surprises was the introduction of a "catering and decoration gate pass" required for any outside vendors. Strangely, this crucial detail had never been communicated during the initial booking process. To our disbelief, each gate pass carried a hefty price tag of 3000 Rs per vendor. When confronted about this omission, the response we received was that it was a "Hotel Management policy" and that any concerns should be directed to the management. With the event date looming, switching venues became an impractical option. Reluctantly, we had to succumb to these new terms and conditions. The management's lack of cooperation was evident as the catering and decoration teams struggled without any support or guidance during event. The experience overall left me disheartened and frustrated. I had expected a smooth and memorable celebration, but instead, I was met with unexpected costs, last-minute changes, and uncooperative staff. Sharing this review is not an attempt to discredit this hotel, but rather an honest account that I hope will serve as valuable feedback for the management. Transparency and clear communication are vital in event planning, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of these expectations.

I booked Merlin International Hotel for a day despite the negative reviews because we were in Thrissur only for a few hours and had a late night train. And the hotel is right next to the railway station. The hotel looks good from the outside but the rooms are not in a good condition. The furniture, AC and even the WC looks very old. The worst part of the hotel is that there's no lift! I just don't understand why would you not keep a lift. How are old people supposed to get to the room on the 2nd floor?! Moreover, the staff is very rude. They would say no to any requests you'll make. We requested the person at the reception that our train is at 3am so could someone help to bring our luggage downstairs at that time. They said that's not possible as they won't have a room boy at night. We asked if they could arrange an auto for us at that time, they said no for that. We stayed for barely 7hrs in the hotel and because of the negative reviews I brought some water bottles and cold drink with me. But while checking out the guy at reception told us to wait as he would have to go check the room.. And he comes back to say that we have taken a bottle from their mini-bar fridge, when we didn't even touch the items in the mini bar. I have never been this furious at any hotel management. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is rude and won't help you. They don't provide basic services at night like bringing water bottles to you room or helping with your luggage. The rooms are not at all worth the price you pay. There is no lift. Please save yourself from all the trouble and don't book a room here.

The high price and the service doesn't add up. The room wasn't properly cleaned. Bed linen felt damp and there was this musty smell all over. Service was okay. One day stay includes breakfast in the morning which is served only after 8am. Better to do the direct booking through phone. In online bookings there's discount but it's only for 12 hours. Location is very accessible. It's right behind the railway station. ♿🚫 Wheelchair accessible and entrance is only there. There's no lift and all the rooms are from 1st floor.

Good for traveling personals for a short stop to sleep. Ample parking. Though linen is ashed it's all discolored. Nirmal Staff behaviour is pleasent and friendly. But the manager/ senior position holders must be trained to deal with customers politely and cater to customer request.

Stay which is worth for the money we spend. This hotel is walkable distance from KSRTC stand, railway station and passport office. Service was top notch. Even I was checked-in midnight, they made sure that the process is seamless. Only one thing they have to notice is to keep the toilet tissues.

Went there for a birthday celebration. Very calm and quiet atmosphere. The food, however, was mediocre at best. We only had two food items to choose from for the main course. It was too expensive as well. They also have an outdoor setup, looked very professional, and well designed. The behavior of the staff was also good.

Quite an understated property. Well appointed rooms and polite staff, well trained. It's a good business hotel and for functions. Have been staying here multiple times, well maintained and clean linen and washrooms. Multi Cuisine restaurant.

While the location is plus the staff attitude makes it bad. They come up with new rules for the online bookings & put additional charges in the guest happens to be a female friend. What a joke! Additional booking make sense if anyone is staying overnight, if a friend/relative visit the room how can it be on a charged? Never heard a rule that guest have to submit id card who is paying visit during the day. Surya, the receptionist needs some training on how the service industry staffs deal/behave with customers. So, if you are planning to book this place online through MMT or Yatra, think twice.

Best rooms at reasonable prices and On the Rocks Bar is a must visit. I loved the Pork fry and Chicken masala and drinks are worth a mention, well behaved staff

Very well facilitated and maintained rooms. Although the service is kind of poor. Have drinks and beverages available, but limited options.

While the rooms were spacious, quality of the bed wasn’t up to mark. Has basic amenities and is close to all major spots, the receptionist is very arrogant. The property owner clearly needs to teach their staffs a little manners to talk to their customers. I was late by half hour to checkout and the tone of the receptionist was rude and hung up on me abruptly. Not the kind of response one would expect from a property as such. Would request the management to kindly be polite to the customers. The price of beverages inside the room were already overpriced upon which the receptionist has added another 15rp tax which makes no sense to us.

We booked a standard room. in the room there is a mini fridge and inside the fridge there are some beverages like soft drinks and soda etc.. As well as there are price details on the fridge they clearly mentioned softdrinks Rs 60 (all items are double charge doesn't matter) however, while checking out they said I have to pay Rs 75 for soft drink (sprite) I just wondering if it's not money issue they are making us foo thus, I am unhappy with merilin hotel.

Never have i experienced such a rude and low class service from a hotel before. I wanted to book their hall for my sister's haldi function and made the necessary arrangements on May since we were told to reserve it booking and it function was to be held on September. When the time came they said we have to pay Rs.3000 extra for gate pass fee for catering service and another extra 3000 for the event management team since they're not a part of the melrin's event management panel list. None of this was mentioned in their agreement when we gave them the initial payment. Their service was extremely pathetic and their staff was very rude with us. If anyone plans to make any necessary arrangements for any events in the future, i assure you not to host it at this cheap, customer hostile environment they call an "international hotel".

Pathetic! One of the dirtiest rooms I have come across...They charge in thousands but services are worth a few hundred. The snacks in the minibar are about to expire, the washroom was not cleaned. Used body washes were kept. The balcony door has gaps in it. The coffee mugs had spots. Toilet paper was a used roll... So I would never recommend this place. On complaining about this to MakeMyTrip, they were nice enough to help us with a complete refund although the hotel management refused.

The service is super bad. The manager there is very unprofessional. I conducted my wedding there and the manager was very rude to my husband and father. He switched off the mike while the person was talking and refused to provide food towards the end. Please never ever conduct any function here. The manager lied from the beginning about the price per plate . The most unprofessional behaviour i have ever seen. And this was not just my opinion , the event planners and photographers also had similar issues with this guy.

Horrible service. AC doesn’t work. Rude staff. Try to find another place, don’t stay at this hotel. Looks beautiful from the outside but don’t fall for the bait. I would rather suggest you to stay at railway station rather than throwing 2.5k for a terrible service.

Very bad experience with a very high price. We paid 2200 for a room that is not worth atleast for 1000. Room was much poor and not cleaned well. When we do complaint, their response was like all it's our mistake. Manager should be trained for how to behave.

One the most money minded hotel i have came across, such a bad liers. They initially said for my requirements the rooms will be charged X amount and when i asked discount they said i can talk to manager. He said we will arrange complimentary breakfast but no discount and i said ok. After that i got a call from a person asking for confirmation and i said yes. Again i get a call from them stating that the rates are increased by 5k from the initial mentioned. When i spoke again the Manager shouted and spoke very rudely asking us to cancel. Such a bad experience. Please don't go to this hotel

We visit this hotel at least once a year to spend a weekend and chill. Its always been a great experience and this time was no different. The rooms are good. Reception services, room service, house keeping are all excellent. Very well trained and responsive staff. The choice of restaurants is also good but we normally eat the buffet at Citrus. It is superb, especially Excellent service too.

This hotel doesn't care about their customers, they just demand things to be done by customers; even though its their responsibility. Neither the Manager nor the staff know how to communicate , let alone function as a hotel. The audacity with which they ask for it made me realise , why should i pay for this zero hospitality, no customer support . Didn't checkin ,left the hotel and booked another.

My wedding was held there. Don't know where to start from, 1. The manager is unbelievably unprofessional, lied to us about the menu and charged extra because apparently the headcount was higher. 2. The decoration team had horrible experience 3. DJ team had the same horrible experience

The main reason I’ve given 3 stars is because there is not lift facility in this hotel. I’m quite surprised with that. How can a 3 star rated hotel b without a lift! I don’t know is there any criteria under it but this hotel doesn’t have a lift. You have to take the stairs. This hotel is not a new building. It’s an old building and They have renovated it. Check in was not that smooth, I had to wait around 10min for the procedure to get over. Receptionist was polite. Inside the room it’s kinda mixed experience, I mean as they have renovated you can actually see some things are really old. Eg the switch boards are of old types inside the cupboards was not that clean. Rooms are small with a small tv. You even have a small fridge with nothing in it. No goodies Bathrooms are clean and tidy. But as I told you some parts have to be changed for eg the toilet shower was almost broken. You get a hair dryer and other toiletries. One of the major advantage of this hotel is , it’s very close to the west entry of the Thrissur railway station and you have a ticket counter as well. I basically dint have any issues with the bar. Hope you all had a small picture NOTE:- This is my personal experience and others may have a different opinion.
