Very good falls. The beautiful scenic falls is in Kerala near Thrissur dt. The only catch here is: everyone has to walk downhill for 15-20 mins to see the beautiful athirappily waterfalls. The highest falls in the region and the most scenic falls. Please do not throw plastics and keep the surroundings plastic free and friendly nature.

Athirapally falls, also know as the Niagara Falls of India, is a must visit place for nature lovers. The majestic Athirapally falls in Kerala is 80-feet high and 330-feet wide. This waterfall is one of the best places to capture a real sense of splendid beauty and is a treat to the eyes, especially during the monsoon season.

An awesome experience. It is the biggest falls I have ever seen. We could go near the falls. Entering the water is prohibited, since it is very dangerous. Many people have lost their lives there.

Excellent water fall. During August month it looks like a mini Niagara. Trekking is very challenging towards the water fall. It’s paved, yet not for the feeble. Rs 200 for entry.

One of my dream place in India. It’s mesmerising. From the entry with vehicle fee you have to pay and park the car beside the road as there is no particular parking. And take the entry ticket again for falls entry. From there it’s just 10-15 walkable distance for top view. Carry water bottle along with you and return the empty bottle in entry as they will give you 10 rupee refund. Enjoy the top view for a while and start trek to the down. If you are aged or handicap or having breathing issue do not take risk and stay in the upside as we need to walk inside the forest around 30 mins in mud. As it’s a orange alert when we enter, they don’t allow us to go near to the water fall. If you visit after February, you can play in the water due to water flow will be less. If you want to see the water flow then best time to visit is from June to December. You will be lost for a while in nature for sure.

Mesmerising beauty of this place is more beautiful 🤩 then you saw in movies 🎥. Reaching there is itself a fun. From the gate it self you have to walk through a trail and will not get the proper glimpse until you reach on top or bottom. You will only able to hear water fall sound. On the top you can enjoy the water and play in it. You can stay in water and enjoy it like a water park always bring back my inner kid out. On the bottom you can get the full view of fall. Recommendations - 1. Full day, 2. comfortable clothing 3. Extra pair of clothes 4. Stay hydrated 5. Go down first enjoy the view later come up relax and dip in a water.

Visited there on a Sunday afternoon when the weather was fine. Though a bit overcrowded, the spectacular water falls and the beautiful Chalakudy river made our visit memorable.

Athirapally Falls is a big, beautiful waterfall situated with the green forest. It's majestic and pretty. Easy to reach and take care of. If you like the scenery of nature with majestic waterfalls, you should definitely visit. The best time to visit is from morning 8 am, so there will be less crowds and you can take a bath in the top view of the waterfalls. The ticket is about 50rs for both athrirapally and vazhachal waterfalls. And additional charges for bikes and cars.

And better to bring an umbrella as the waterfalls waterforce will definitely drench u once u are near it. Totally worth it!!

Athirapilly Waterfall is an amazing place to visit! It's clean and tidy, surrounded by pleasant nature. It's a perfect destination to have fun with your friends and family. You'll find convenient parking spaces available for tourists. The staff at the assistance desk are friendly and knowledgeable. Feel free to approach them for any assistance you may need during your visit. They will gladly provide you with essential information. (And additionally, you'll spot a lot of playful monkeys there. The interaction with monkeys at lunchtime was real fun😅😅)

Athirapally Waterfalls is the Largest Waterfalls in Kerala and is a Must Visit for Any Nature Lover. It is located in Chalakudy Taluk of Thrissur District in Kerala, Can be reached in Two Ways one is by Chalakudy Route Via Kerala and Valparai Route Via Tamil Nadu. Waterfalls is Located inside a dense forest, you may even sometimes spot wild animals on the road to athirapally waterfalls. 🕤 Athirapally Waterfalls Timings 8 AM TO 5 PM ( Go By Minimum 3PM ) 💸 Athirapally Waterfalls Entry is Rs 50/- Per Person and Camera Rs 60/-, There are two ticket counters one is at the entry gate of athirapally waterfalls and another one is located on the chalakudy route around One Km From The Entry. Parking Spaces are Easily Available! We Were The First To Enter athirapally waterfalls today so there was no crowd and pretty much enjoyed everything at peace. The Path to Waterfalls was well maintained by The Kerala Government and it takes 10 to 15 mins to reach the Athirapally Falls Upper View Point. Near this view point you can see streams of water flowing, this is the only place where you can take a bath. You Need to Trek Down for Another 400m to view the Full Falls this trek path is not allowed after 5 PM So Plan Accordingly! After the trek we will have an experience which lasts lifetime. Magnificent Waterfalls flowing all over the place with hushing sound of water is a delight to watch! This Place is also a famous Shooting Spot in Movies, Even bahubali movie was shot here. Athirapally monsoon View is Not to be missed. Other nearest tourist places are Vazhachal Waterfalls and Charpa Waterfalls. A must visit tourist places in kerala! ❤️

The place is about 30kms from kochi and takes around 2 hours. It's worth thr time and if you like trekking it's a very satisfying trek . The view is serene. When we visited it was quite crowded but when you hike downwards people are less coz they had given up 😂.

It's a great place to spend your afternoons in the trips. You can't take a bath on the waterfall but you enjoy the fall's top water flow.

Waterfall is beautiful. The tourism dept has taken initiative in maintaining the place plastic free zone for which they stick a green Stricker on every plastic container or bottle taken towards falls with Rs 10 deposit per item. We have to take steps downwards to reach the bottom of falls. The view is good and photogenic. Personally being a landscape photographer, would recommend to visit this place before noon, as in this time sunlight would fall on the waterfall and your face will be exposed to sun without making your pics black. They have a snack and ice-cream shop for refreshments and water. Travel responsible, Travel Safe....

Falls in and around is maintained extremely well by the Kerala tourism department. 50 rs is charged as an entrance fee for an adult and parking charges are also applied based on the vehicle. Lots of toys shop are available with a variety of items to attract tourists. Recommended visiting at monsoon to experience the best view of the falls. A 1 km walk is required to see the falls closely from the bottom. A recommended place to visit. Getting a parking slot is difficult at weekends and Holidays.
