Hospitality
is
defined
as
the
generous
and
friendly
treatment
of
visitors
and
guests.
Some
take
it
a
step
further,
like
a
spiritual
gift
used
to
serve
others.
You
can
feel
and
see
this
everywhere
from
the
generosity
and
kindness
from
Raju,
the
host,
and
his
staff
to
the
physical
layout
of
the
hotel.
There
is
a
garden/courtyard
as
you
enter
the
atrium
stretching
all
the
way
to
the
dining
area
which
draws
natural
light
and
air
from
the
outdoors
into
the
hotel.
It
feels
like
an
oasis
with
a
Zen
like
quality
that
allows
connection
to
the
outdoors
while
enjoying
the
benefits
of
protection
from
the
heat
and
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
the
town.
Our
intention
was
to
stay
for
one
evening,
maybe
two
at
most
but
we
stayed
a
week
and
spent
most
of
our
day
time
inside
the
hotel
feeling
grounded
by
the
sense
of
serenity
of
the
place.
We
even
extended
our
stay
at
Kerala
for
another
two
more
weeks
and
received
ayurvedic
treatment
at
a
local
hospital
recommended
by
Raju.
To
describe
our
stay,
here,
as
an
excellent
service-oriented
hotel
with
its
personalized
attentiveness
and
care
is
an
understatement.
Yes,
it
was
all
of
these
things
but
our
memories
of
Wariyam
Heritage
will
be
remembered
as
a
humbling
lesson
that
touched
us
at
a
core
meaning
of
connectedness
and
genuine
kindness.
Rajuβs
respect
for
life
in
all
beings,
from
the
living
spirits
in
the
trees
and
plants
in
his
courtyard
to
his
staff
and
guests
alike
are
virtues
we
aspire
to
emulate
and
will
remember
always.
Itβs
hard
to
explain
in
words,
youβll
know
when
you
experience
it
for
yourself.
