Established on 26 April 1958, Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy works as the focal length point for the cultural center in Kerala. Here they will help you to bring up your career in fields like music, drama etc... They also acts as event holders for various cultural events. The atmosphere is cool. One can feel the presence of a positive energy from here. Best place for having a clear mind set. The staffs are courteous and helpful when you are in need. It is functional from morning 9:30 till evening 6:30. Nice place. Please please visit atleast once.

The Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam literature is an autonomous body established to promote the Malayalam language and literature. It is situated in City of Thrissur, Kerala in India. The academy was inaugurated on 15 October 1956, by Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the former king of Travancore, in Thiruvananthapuram. It was shifted to its present location at City of Thrissur in September, 1957. Though the Kerala Government provides the funding and support for the academy, the administration of the academy is autonomous according to its constitution. The academy recognises superior literary works through its annual literary awards for Poetry, Novel, Story, Drama, Literary criticism, Biography – autobiography, Travelogue, Humour, Translation, Children's literature etc.. As of 2016 the academy is headed by Malayalam short story writer Vaisakhan, who is serving as its president, Khadija Mumtaz as its vice president, and K P Mohanan as its secretary.

Visited the Art Gallery of Lalitha Kala academy. A solo photo exhibition of Praveesh Kazhcha showcasing Valluvanad culture was going on. The ambience is just perfect for such programs.

This place is very important in the cultural map of Kerala. Sangeetha Nataka Academy is a prestigious institution when it comes to art especially theater. This institution can also brag about its heritage. And the campus is absolutely peaceful with its architecture and trees as well. You can find a beautiful amphitheater as well as indoor theaters. There is a t zone canteen that is reasonably good. And enough clean restrooms.

Went to ITFOK for watching drama. All dramas were international standard. But the ticket system is pathetic. We have to be in the queue morning 8am and tickets will be giving 1.30 for 4pm show. Standing in the scorching sun! Why dont they give the tickets first come first served basis?
