Its a start of Cherai with rivers / fields on both the sides with good walkway. There is Cherai bridge nearby and you can proceed to beach which is within 3kms.

The Gateway to Cherai has become the beauty spots between the asphalt arteries which starts from the southern part of Perumpadanna and the Cherai bridge.I have seen many inland and foreign tourists spending their evenings in some spots of the Gateway enjoying the cool breeze and the panoramic views of the nearby lakes. It is indeed a very good place where we can spend our leisure along with friends and relatives.I love this place very much.

Nice walk way to spent your evening times. Also it's a good place for morning exercise too. Even though it's a busy road, the fresh air, mangrove trees, lake etc. Will Refresh you. Cherai Beach is only 2km away from here.

Cherai is a place of tranquility. It is a unique place where you can see backwater and sea on both sides of the road. It's a great place to find tasty and traditional sea food and there are lots of shops, resorts, and restaurants. Sunsets are really beautiful. There are plenty of affordable accommodation options available in there, so you should try to stay there if possible. Chemmeen kettu is really beautiful especially in the evenings and during rainy seasons. Rainy days were a great time for me to walk along that road. Also, I enjoy roaming around.

A good place for walking, sight seeing and more....both sides are backwaters. The back waters are the best places of pokkali farming and fish farm and mangroves. One of the best back water seen from kerala during the road journey is this.

Cherai Beach is always a great place to spend time with your loved ones.. More than the main gate if you venture further towards yuur right side you can really see some nice places. Calmer and quieter..

Gateway to cherai was always a favourite spot for us to hangout since our school days. The place is just beautiful, and perfect for a lonely evening or a good time with your close ones or an early morning / evening stroll. Area is safe and there are places to sit. Enough parking space is also provided. We have seen the police patroling the area late evenings. 👌

Great walkway. But need efforts to keep it clean. Some portions need maintenance. Especially the bridge in between. Need to remove extra grass grown to the pathway. All visitors take it as your responsibility to keep the place clean.
