Its a government clinic. First I would like to say there is no Casualty unit for emergencies. The minor actions like IV, injections, are performed by second year students on university. Some of them.are not able to find vein for injection. And the animal become uncomfortable and struggled. Some of them inject bubbles during injection. Anyway your pet is a specimen for study for some hours. Students write case observations. may be not clear its better You need ask your animals and.next day you need explained to next doctor. But the gynecology unit have better experienced peoples. But you will be forced to come here because in this clinic have x rays. Ultrasound scan. And laboratory.

Let me share my experience. My dog 🐕 was infected by fungus last month. We consult with a doctor in neibhourhood and he confirmed the fungus infection. He treated the dog for 4 weeks and there was no change. We consult with an another doctor in Karalam vetinary hospital who is my friend. He also confirmed that the dog was infected by fungus and the infection is in second stage. He told me it need three weeks Treatment, first week need to remove the fungus from body, second week he will treat the fungus reproduction and third week something else. The treatment was effective, but the dog became tired Due to daily bathing. The dog's legs trembled and he could not sleep on the ground. My mother was totally upset. The doctor referred me to this place. This place was crowded when I reach here. Need to take op ticket after reaching here. After waiting ina a queue of 6 people I can consult the doctor. The supervising doctor came and he asked few questions. Then he hand over to junior doctor. They asked a lot of questions, and she suspect there was some infection in blood. They did some blood and skin testing. They also noticed that the dog was suffering from fever. We wait for 1 hour for blood result, the problem I faced here was the supervising doctor who prescribe for blood test left the hospital that time. The result came by 1 pm so every doctors are in the mood to leave the hospital. Junior doctor consult with another senior doctor, and they also confirmed that it is fungus infection. They prescribe medicine for fungus. When I reach home back the dog was started to shivering again. I called my friend doctor again and he prescribed vamol 250 ml for fever. He also check the new medicines and said his diagnosis was same. He planned these medicines for the third week. After providing vamol for 2 days the dog is active now. The fungus infection is reduced now. The hair on the dog's body began to grow again. Verdict: The treatment here is good. But the problem is that you cannot consult with same doctor always. Blood test was prescribed by one doctor and he was not there when I got the result. So you have to explain everything to the new doctor again. Also they did not prescribe medicine for fever, I consult with my friend after reached home and he prescribe medicine for fever.

Very good place. Great service for a government run hospital. It is always crowded and hence anticipate wait time. Token issue starts around 9 AM and will be good to reach by that time.

Extremely busy!!! But, that is to be expected. The rates for opening a file is just 30 rupees! In this day and age, this is unheard and quite a blessing for many. Now, despite being a govt organisation, it is relatively well run and well maintained. Must appreciate that. Timings - pls see attached photo. Do note that due to covid, they are giving out tokens only after 8.45ish. Instead of the usual 8 am. But even now, huge lines. So pls be prepared to wait a while. The tests which your animals might require vary from 15 mins to 30 mins or so for the results to come out. Doctors- we were lucky enough to get Dr Vinod, the HOD. Amazing doctor!! The way he handles your animals and the way he explains things to you in an unhurried non condescending manner was such a such a huge relief and a delight. Wish all the vets were as sensitive to the animals as he is. Lots of common misconceptions were cleared up as well. Really grateful to him 🙏🏽. Fair warning, lots of students around. Some points to be noted - if you are bringing a dog or a cat. Pls put them in their basket/carrier or on a leash. Carry some water for them as it might be a long wait. Not all animals are trained equally so please keep a distance if possible. Once you get the token (from the OP registration counter on the right once you enter the premises), have to wait in line outside ward 2 non infectious diseases, they will call out your token number. If you have to show your test results, unfortunately you have to use the same line (kindly use indian jugaad to show test results). Try to remember the name of the doctor or the student treating your animal in case you have to go back for showing test results. Overall - great place 👍🏽

I gave a 5* review because I took a malnourished two month old stray pup I found by the side of the road to this vet hospital and they actually treated him like the other fancy breeds. The doctors were very nice , though the students are still learning stuff like finding a vein. Oh and it was heavily subsidized being a government establishment so that was another plus.

Humbly request all of you to think twice before you take your pet to this location. We had purchased a puppy literally a week ago and took her to this hospital for my pets fungal treatment. In the end, the puppy ended up contracting parvo virus and passed away. I have often noticed that the table these dogs are treated on are often not sanitised properly after the table has been used. What is the point of running a highly rated govt. Veterinary hospital when when the chances of contracting diseases are high ?? And for those who are going to tell me that the puppy could have contracted parvo from the petshop, there were plenty of other pets who were in contact with her before we took her home. How come they are all right while this baby is buried?

There was no wait when I arrived with my dog. However, if you have one more person accompanying you, it would be good since pets aren't allowed near the office where you take your OP card and make payments. So you have to either leave them in the car or tie them. You have more than enough space to tie them in case you are there alone with your pet. The docs didn't take much time to identify the issue. Took a little more time for the X-ray as my boy Oscar was in a bit of pain and wasn't sitting straight. Don't think many Tibetan Mastiffs have come in for treatment as they took a lot of pics of Oscar, little celebrity.. lol

Extremely unfortunate that they don't have 24 hours casualty. Also the hospital had shortened working hours during Onam holidays. Animals should be careful and avoid diseases during holidays.

The hospital is good but I really wish there were more facilities and amenities available. This being one of the few govt vetinary hospital available in the locality , the rush is more and so it would have much better to equip with more staffs and facilities. Also needs to provide more facilities in casualty for emergency situations. Hope this happens soon

You have to wait a lot for their service and may not get the same doctor the next day for the consultation with your pet. I was satisfied with their service.

As with any teaching institution, expect some waiting time. Their examination is thorough and is conducted both by students and a senior faculty. In house X-ray and laboratory. Not expensive at all considering quality of service they provide.

The most horrible hospital I have ever seen. This is my personal experience as I lost my cat due to their carelessness. The doctors in that hospital is worst. It is good for dog but not for cats. Please don't take you're cat to this hospital

🫤 Hospital and other services are good except it’s pharmacy. Pharmacy service is very bad. The staff over there is also very bad with customers. It will take too long for us to get the medicine. Cost wise outside shops are good. Here cost is too high , long waiting time and rude behaviour.
