Visiting here was very serene and had a calming atmosphere. The breeze and the shade provided by the huge trees makes walking very cool and calm. The views are excellent and the environment is very well kept. You can visit the museum with a $20TTD fee per person if you are interested in that. I could literally spread a blanket and chill the entire day under the shade and feel the breeze and take in the scenery.

We bid at default as part of our tour. We only had about 15 minutes to walk about looking at the buildings and the terrific view of the bay.

The view from up on the Fort is magnificent, you see just how beautiful the island is. The grounds are well maintained, clean and the staff are very hospitable. The Fort gives you that feeling as if you were actually back there in that time. If you're there definitely check out the museum as well and not just go for the views. You'd get a taste of the rich history all while walking the grounds of some of the building that still stand. So if you're into history, or scenery, views and green space you should definitely go.

Beautiful place with a lot of history. Spectacular view of Tobago. There is no wait time to enter the fort. It is very hot and there is walking so it's best to visit in the morning. There is a museum on the property that will cost you $1 to visit if you choose to.

A fine fort with free entry for just walking around. The museum costs $20 TT but we didn't go in. There is a nice viewpoint with canons. Free restrooms and very helpful tour guides who will explain the history and give pamphlets.

Outstanding views of the ocean and area! The canons are in prestine condition. Would like to read more about the area on historical boards. Quiet place for meditation and reflection.

Wonderful place, significant place, a lot of history but the area needs to cordon off properly. A lot of high places where a kid can get seriously injured. No sense of security at all. For such a tourist attraction it really needs some work....

Beautiful part of our history. Picturesque and serene. Museum only opens for half day and unfortunately not on weekends and public holidays 😔

A piece of history! A Fort used to defend Tobago from incoming attacks, today is a beautiful site overlooking the Gulf of Paria. Great for taking loads of pictures!

The spectacular view of the port of Scarborough and surroundings are unforgettable. You can also see Trinidad's North-Eastern coast from there on a very clear day. Moreover, there are incredible stories of the various colonial powers who fought over centuries to possess Tobago - reflected in the buildings and structures at the fort. The powder magazine built by the French when they captured it, the cannons belonging to the British, the name changes from French to English and back... dizzying, yet intriguing. At the back of the main " museum " building, under the lighthouse, vendors present sweets and preserves very Caribbean in origin - the outcome of estate life. The Fort is an exceptional treasure trove and adventure.

This was a beautiful place to visit...deep with historical value sadly not appreciated by locals as some areas are let to decay.

Lovely historical site giving a peek into battlements left from a time of 1783-93 with the French occupation of Scarborough Hill, Tobago. Just know the views are spectacular.
