The experience at the salon was amazing from beginning to end! This was my first time getting my hair done at a salon since being natural and she truly knows what she is doing, from product choices to styling technique. It is great to know that I can trust someone else with my 4c hair other than myself! Also, she is EXTREMELY gentle, she did not pull ,tug or braid my hair tightly. I was very satisfied about my results and received many compliments. I definitely will return for other visits and recommend her to others.

Hands down the best salon experience I've had thus far! Not only was Tamika herself very warm and welcoming, she's amazing at handling natural hair gently and giving you the results you want--my hair's never looked this good before, not even kidding. Tamika's also great at conversation and she made me feel right at home, as if we knew each other already. I'd recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

I would recommend Tamika to everyone that asks without thinking twice. If I sound as if I am levelling praise and nothing could be that good, book your appointment and find out for yourself. There is always a time early in my appointment with her where any concerns about my service that day evaporate and this is usually very early on. Tamika is not just knowledgeable about her craft, she is a good read of her clients, knows what makes them comfortable, and what they may need to feel amazing at the end of the service. She has an amazing eye for detail and technique, your roots remain in your skull where they should be and there are no burn marks on your neck and ears. She puts a great deal of effort into listening to your requests, and takes the time to consult whenever necessary. Her patience and her ability to interpret mundane requests are a big plus, as she always seems to know exactly what you’re asking about, and any issues you raise only needs to be brought up once. She is a very chill, and welcoming soul who makes you feel as though you are chatting with a friend who also happens to be doing your hair, while you take in some Netflix and chat about the world and life and hair. I know what it is to have a bad hair experience and I never stopped talking about those experiences. It is only right to give credit and praise where and when due. If you need someone who listens, values your hair over your dollars, is comfortable giving her opinion without offending, consistent in service, and really loves what she does then definitely book your appointment.

The service was quite good. I did box braids there and they lasted about a month which is long for my type of hair. Braids usually only last about two weeks for me.

Quality service as this hairdresser KNOWS what she's doing. To my relaxed haired sistas who struggle with dryness and breakage, she's got the remedy; contemplating going natural won't be on your mind anymore. Not that going natural is bad, but if you decide to go natural, it'll be because you just want to and not because your relaxed hair is always breaking, dry, always stiff or not full enough. I had a great experience and after 6 years of staying away from hairdressers because they always seem to make my hair worse, I trust this stylist with my hair.
