We ate here in the dark!!! Yet I still think this is a 5 star review because within a few minutes of the power going out to the entire town, they brought out candles to all the tables where someone was eating and they continued cooking with lanterns in the kitchen, it was amazing!!! My wife and I loved it, a very romantic meal just a few feet away from a beautiful Caribbean beach. I think we actually ended up enjoying it more by candle light than we would have if the electric lights were on. Check out my attached photo, you can see the candle lit tables, and one family that had a small lantern. Also, the family at the table beside us had only a card to pay with and they do not take cards here and with the power out they couldn't go to the local ATM and withdraw cash. We overheard the owner telling them they could get the cash the next day and come back and pay. What a wonderful way to handle a customer problem in a bad situation. I hope the customer did come back and I applaud the owner for making what could have been a disaster for that family into a touching experience. My wife had curried goat with rice and steamed vegetables. I had the rosemary lamb meal. We very much enjoyed the meal. As with the rest of Castara, we enjoyed fine hospitality here and would love to visit again.

Recommended by others. We support the recommenders. Clean, very good service from staff and a lot to choose from on menu. BYO is ok. We are very satisfied by extremely tender boneless goat curry and catch of the day - kingfish- lovely sides and tasting rosemary baked potatoes. Among top restaurants here. Fair prices. Highly recomnended by us as well.

Excellent home-cooked Caribbean food. Good prices and varied menu. All dishes cooked fresh to order so be prepared for a wait, especially if lots of tables arrive at the same time. Shrimp Ceviche was lovely. Only soft drinks available so BYOB if you want something stronger.

Just come back from eating an absolutely fantastic meal. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was great, catch of the day was indeed caught that day, couldn't get any fresher! What does make this place 5 star is the friendly atmosphere and welcoming service provided by the two lovely ladies. Will definitely be visiting again before our holiday is over.

During our 7 night visit to Castara we enjoyed many of the local restaurants. While all were very good and indicative of the local cuisine I thought overall D’Almond stood out, based on the ceviche appetizer, very fresh and citrus”e”! Tucked behind the beach, it’s a nice location and friendly service. One note- it is BYOB, the local market is just nearby to grad your Carib or wine.

Fabulous food, tasty, generous portions,been here many times, tried the whole menu. Run by two beautiful ladies, so friendly, would give more stars if we could. A must visit if in Castara. Can't wait to come back! Love Chris n Dawn - UK

Amazing little eatery on the beach with a wonderful server/cook. Food was fresh, tasting and very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere with soft lighting and the sound of the waves in the background. It’s BYOB but have a good range of softs. Thank you.

We had a fantastic meal here, super friendly service and really tasty food. The fish had only been collected from the market an hour before so it couldn't have been much fresher! The whole meal was very reasonably priced, especially as the restaurant is virtually on the beach and has a view of the sea. We'll be back again soon.

We have tried many places in Castara and this place was our absolute favorite! Good food, great choice and amazing service!

Our favourite restaurant in Castara. A varied menu offers more choices than most local eateries. Always offers grilled fish fresh from the fishermen's stall. When available, the coconut garlic shrimp is amazing. Boneless curry goat is my personal favourite but I have never been disappointed in more than fifteen years of visit to Castara. Note: the restaurant is not licensed so BYOB. Also does not yet accept credit cards.

We're staying in Castara for a week, and have had dinner here twice so far... The salad is fresh, the chicken wings are tasty, the goat curry is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the homemade old-fashioned coconut ice cream is the perfect dessert! They don't sell alcohol here, but encourage you to nip down the road and bring some back to your table. Cash only. Very friendly service!

We've stayed in Castara twice and eaten here several times, a quiet restaurant in a nice location just off the main beach, serving good fresh local food. A good variety of fish, chicken, goat etc as you'd expect in the Caribbean and reasonably priced, friendly staff, no alcohol license so bring your own, although soft drinks are served.

Best food we had in Castara - bar none. Freshest fish. Best service. Best value for money and best location right on the beach.

Great restaurant on Castara beach! Easy to book on WhatsApp and this way you know for sure it will be open for dinner when you need it! Also takes credit card. Table settings thoughtfully arranged. Excellent welcome and food freshly cooked and provided by young chef Mariska and great table service provided by brother Darion. BYOB means you can also enjoy a glass of your favourite wine or other tipple while enjoying the lovely location and atmosphere.

Food is some of the best I’ve had on the island. Owner / chef is super sweet! I’ll be back!! A Castara gem :)))
