What
a
wonderful
evening
and
experience!
After
having
had
several
unsuccessful
attempts
to
find
a
decent
non
resort
restaurant
on
the
West
Coast
we
happened
upon
this
little
family
run
gem.
The
venue
is
just
across
the
road
from
the
beach
with
a
lovely
cool
deep
terrace
with
tables.
The
waiters
are
super
friendly
and
efficient,
the
Italian
owner
passionate
and
invested
in
the
food
her
restaurant
creates.
With
all
that
going
for
it,
it
is
the
food
that
steals
the
show,
wonderfully
traditional
Italian
food
made
special
with
the
most
delicious
and
fresh
Mauritian
ingredients.
We
enjoyed
crispy
Calamari
with
two
home
made
dipping
sauces,
made
in
the
lightest
crispest
coating
and
also
the
freshest
lightest
Tuna
Carpaccio
topped
with
lemon,
olives
and
capers
(cannot
recommend
enough)
for
mains
we
had
the
Spaghetti
Frutti
Di
Mare
pasta
which
is
served
in
a
generous
bowl
(needed
to
carry
the
huge
portion
of
seafood
-
fresh
razor
clams,
clams,
mussels
and
Dorado),
made
with
just
a
touch
of
fresh
tomato
to
allow
the
seafood
to
shine!
We
also
had
a
wonderful
spaghetti
with
fresh
fish,
olives,
tomatoes
and
capers
(imagine
a
puttanesca
but
reimagined
for
lightness
and
freshness).
Desserts
were
a
incredibly
good
panacotta,
so
light
with
a
lovely
light
wobble,
but
with
a
richness
and
flavour
were
incredible
as
well
as
a
fabulous
Tiramisu!
They
are
closed
on
Mondays.
