Public Beach, even better than Resort one’s. Good sand and great sea. The coral barrier cannot be compared to Red Sea. For other advice follow us on Social Media: The Moon Riders

We hired a scooty from Palmar beach and travelled all across to see Mount Choisy beach. The place is a sit and relax kind of beach. You will love the charming tides. Get dip in the water and play with sands. Enjoy your time with your loved ones. This is a quiet place and very peaceful. Just keep it clean. Respect the nature.

One the best beaches in Mauritius! Even if it's greatly degraded by erosion the beach still has shaded parts where you can settle down. The waters are still clear to allow some snorkelling and viewing vividly coloured fish and corals. Plus there are many food stalls available...

One of my favourite beaches. Soft white sand and good swimming. Far end by resort is much quieter although there is little shade.

This is one of the loveliest long public beaches in Mauritius. White sand, good waves, nice ambience, wooded avenue to the beach, plenty of places to soak in sun. Locals also create a great public atmosphere on weekends.

Very quit beach to relax, except for weekend when all the people around the island spend the weekend camping.

This part of the beach is almost encapsulated by the resorts. The public have a thin strip they are allowed to use. I would recommend going here just to annoy the resorts and their monopoly of the area.

This is not the public beach that is further south. This is more rocky. Google has got Mont Choisy Beach listed in two different locations; 1 up on the peninsula and 2nd the long and gorgeous public beach, which is to the south.

This beach is absolutely amazing. The sand is like velvet between your toes and the water is the most beautiful cyan blue. Hardly anyone else was here in early April
