One of the best Indian Pure Veg Resto. There's so many dishes on the menu from both North Indian and South Indian. The food is just delicious. I have a special liking for the Sev Puri and the Veg Biryani!!!

We had a lovely time at Namo India tasting their snacks and lunch thali and tea. The warm welcome and friendly service was well appreciated. The food was absolutely gorgeous. They have an exclusively veg menu with so much variety that you definitely want to go back to taste more of the items they offer.

Absolutely incredible food, in my opinion the epitome of vegetarian Indian cuisine. They deserve a Michelin star the food is so sublime. The Vada sambhar deserves a particular mention, fluffy clouds of crunchy deliciousness that are so moreish. Vegan wife reckons best chole bhatura she's had in decades, chef is that good. When the Hindu holy men eat there you know you the food is going to be divine. Very affordable, 4 dishes Rs750 including a litre water. Back the next day for more, wife's says the Masala Dosa is the best she's had on the island, my Shahi Paneer, dhal makhani and latcha paratha were insanely good. Dahi Puri are made with unsweetened yoghurt and are beautiful little flavour bombs.

Probably the best vegetarian Indian food I had in my life! The service, food and environment were all great! Definitely would recommend the mango lassi and the daily menu, but I am sure you can’t go erring with anything you order. Additionally the sweets are also something special! Lot of locals, we were the only tourists.

I absolutely loved the food and the way it was presented. Me and my family enjoyed our dinner tonight. I actually opted for the home delivery service. It was rapid, punctual, no fuss on finding my address and very professional. Amazing food and service. Will definitely order again. Keep up the good work👍💯

A small restaurant tucked away in Quatre Bornes. The service was slow at first but we eventually got our drinks and food! The food portions were plentiful and tasty. Our menfolk wanted beers but settled for mojitos and lime sodas instead. The atmosphere was acceptable as the decor was sparse. The locals love this spot for lunch. We sat inside but there is an Al fresco section next to it with a delectable dessert counter

Not that good the taste is weird and well it doesnt feel like an indian restaurant at all they also sell amercian corn i dont know what it is. The restaurant is dirty the tabels had some yellow stains and the tea I got had a foreign object. I am giving this a 2 stars because the service is good and the sweets too.

Fantastic food. The taste is authentic Indian, literally as you enter the restaurant the smell itself will remind you of an Indian restaurant. I tried the Vada Sambhar, & the Vada was crispy & best part was the sambhar! It's flavour was the right spicy! My friends had the masala dosa, veg chow noodles & manchurian, onion kachori; that too was brilliant! Nowhere I had this taste in Mauritius. Must visit & great pricing too!!

Great authentic indian dishes. Its a great place for people in a vegetarian and vegan diet. Food are very tasty and spicy. The sweets are a must for the desert. The price of the dishes are very affordable. It can get crowded sometimes. Parking space is very limited. Its a great place to eat for lunch and dinner.

Namo India... the place to be for true foodies! We were absolutely bowled over by the charming staff who left no stones unturned in serving us to the best of their abilities, ensuring that we are comfortable, asking us if we need anything, if everything is as per our taste! You won our hearts with the warm welcome, rapid and efficient service and such a caring attitude! One of the most amazing people ever! They really treat their clients like God! I have to concede that we were a bit apprehensive as we were a large group, but the service was prompt and remarkable! Moreover, the food was yummilicious! Absolutely delicious! You really gave us a taste of India. From the starters, to the main course, to the dessert... everything was pure heaven! We came to celebrate a birthday and had an amazing time. Thank you Namo India! Keep up the excellent work! We'll be back again! Five stars are too less for you... unfortunately, that's all that we have! Thanks! 🙏🏻

Had to wait for a table outside for a table of two , we ask a staff there , he could have say it nicely but he was arrogant { we were okay with the waiting but the staff should have talk nicely to us 😌) Next , we finally got a table , but again we need to call them again and again just to ask them to take our order . As if the staff was not willing to take our order . The food was good tho no complain about the presentation and taste , I love it ( that’s why I gave a 3 stars ) Please if the owner is reading this ( make sure you have hardworking staff and staff who know how to talk , and I understand Hindi , he should not use foul language in Hindi , that’s totally unprofessional ) The irony when we ask for bill , quickly he came for the bill not for our order . You put a number , make sure it is available ( for booking as well no one attend the phone call , what’s the use of putting a phone number ) The place is small , if you want to dine in make sure clients do reservations before going . Food : 8/10 Price : 7/10 Service : 1/10

We had the paneer tikka, veg manchurian with gravy, paneer lababdaar, malai kofta, and bhindi masala with chilli garlic naan and tandoori plain wheat roti - overall, food was yum but the koftas tasted bland and the texture was a bit funky. Service was 10/10! Kudos to the servers 👏 The dining space wasn't bad but the tables were a bit too close to each other, so it was a bit hard to move around. Overall, it was a fun night! Would definitely recommend 👌

Good food and service. portions are generous. however atmosphere could be improved. the lingering bleach smell and tight space on sofas do not contribute to a good atmosphere.

Very nice food. The staff were very friendly. Unlike many other Indian restaurants in mauritius, namo India serve a sweet with thali ordered. Atmosphere was very great and Indian

Vegetarian Indian food and sweets. The place is simple and not overly extravagant. The food is very tasty and good value for money. The Thali at Rs250 is worth a try, and offers a lot of food which importantly tastes really good. The sweets are also very nice and there's a wide variety not seen elsewhere. The staff are extremely helpful and do try to give their all.

Don't go there for dinner. You will have to wait for at least 45min before being served a simple thali. Thali was just good and nothing special in terms of taste or quality. But the sweets there are very good and worth the price

Food was good. The nans were exquisite. The Palaak paneer and Gobi.... were really good. Air conditioned placed. Nice decors. Comfy seats. Can accomodate up to 15 people inside and 15 people outside.Staff did not inform us well about the fact that the salted mango lasi is also sweetened when we asked. We got our food first then the lasi much later.

Visited Namo India for dinner —the closed ambiance was good as summer approaches so there is air conditioning—their range of Indian sweets is large and good —I had Tej Tamdoori Paratras —was good —also tried the PAv bhaji —was very disappointed with that—anway it’s a good place to have Indian food /chat/sweets

  • 4/5 Kushal M. 2 years ago on Google
Wanna experience the authenticity of Indian cuisine. This is your stop. From the chats to the parathas, name it you have it. Out of all the Indian restaurants available in Mauritius, this one has the closest Desi taste. Very cozy place and a sweets parlour on the side as well. Only glitch is that it might be heavy on your pocket..

Not that bad for a 1st time experience. 3 stars for this time due to waiting time, table was very sticky. Ordered 4 different menus, all tasted very good but not suitable for kids as too spicy for them. Will definitely try again hoping for a better experience.

This place is a hidden gem! My partner and I stopped here for lunch and had the paneer tikka masala and vegetable kofta curry with rice and garlic naan and everything was fantastic!! The spices were multifaceted; my taste buds had never experienced this delicious spice blend before! It made every other Indian curry I’ve ever had seem bland in comparison. Also my partner is a staunch carnivore but he was pleasantly amazed by how much he enjoyed the vegetarian food. The building itself isn’t much but it’s clean and has pretty decorations. The service was fantastic; really friendly people with quick service. Highly recommend!
