Restaurant Indian restaurant

😠 Most disappointing experience. Food served was extremely poor quality in taste and was made with ready made masala available and packaged so called garlic nans from super market and no where near the authentic Indian food which is famous world over. Tourists are not only being fleeced with shelling... People often mention good, Indian, chicken, restaurant, dishes, order, served, taste, masala, quantity,

Most disappointing experience. Food served was extremely poor quality in taste and was made with ready made masala available and packaged so called garlic nans from super market and no where near the authentic Indian food which is famous world over. Tourists are not only being fleeced with shelling out unrealistic cost of the poor food served but the flavour and reputation of the genuine Indian cuisine is also being damaged.

Delicious and super friendly Halal restaurant. Very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The chicken korma is delicious in fact all their chicken are very succulent. I highly recommend this place.

Even there were adverse comments for quantity , quality & prices but still I dined there and found all good . Nothing to blame . Food I ate was good , prices in accordance to the city pricing standards & had no issue with quantity . Indian families dining there should understand the fact that they should not compare Indian prices & service patterns here .

BEWARE fellow Indians not to commit the mistake of visiting this restaurant. Being an Indian and a foodie, it pains me to see the type of food served in this so called Indian restaurant. Taking my parents was the biggest mistake during our visit to Tromso. We ordered 4 dishes: chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken korma and jalfrezi chicken and all the curries tasted similar. I can guarantee they are making curries by using the store bought stuff and serving in the name of Indian food and nothing seemed fresh. The plain naan and garlic naan was the biggest joke as they were selling the packaged naan :( Each dish costed about 24 euros and in total we ended up spending 150 euros which was not at all worth it. Only Indian thing was the old classic music they played. Highly disappointed with food, service and I wouldn’t pay even 10 euros for the food that was served here.

Walked in around 2000 and sat down only to be told there were only two options butter chicken and vegan curry I dragged my friends to this place based in the reviews and immediately regretted it. We all ordered the same thing and the butter chicken had a excessive tomato base and the curry was really runny Definitely not 4.1 stars

Delicious Goa fish and a great butter chicken. Service was excellent, very welcoming and attentive. Reasonable prices for Tromso. Thoroughly recommended.

One of the worst so-called Indian food. We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala but there were no differences on the taste. It was identical. Don’t know why they named it different dishes!?? We also ordered palak paneer. Paneer was so much sour in taste. Never tasted paneer so sour. Such a shame. Also tasted one of the worst chana masala ever. Anyone could have make better than this. Kulfi was good but found hair on it 🙄🙄😢😢… The starter (veg and chicken pakora) was good though. That gets 1 start for the starter.

I got takeaway and the chana masala, cheese naan, and mango lassi were great. More than enough food and very tasty with the right spice (hot) level. The inside looked great and very inviting with plenty of folks sitting down. There is construction on the whole street but you can get to the restaurant and it's well worth it. Very nice staff also.

I have been to this restaurant twice and they managed to mess up my order every time. I have also tried to order their food twice online thinking that perhaps they cannot mess such order. Alas, it is simply imposible to order online because they reject the order each time claiming they have no delivery person available. What a joke of an establishment.

One of the good Indian restaurants with Indian authentic taste too. Staff is really good and service is fast. Prior reservation is recommended. 5-10Mins walk-in from centre. Recommended dishes:- Vegetarian Curry, Garlic Naan, Dal Tadka , Samosa

The food was good but the quantity was super small for the price!! 5 Main dish options with vegetarian preference. Service is quite decent and quick. Quantity can be greatly improved. Would be great to see more Vegetarian/Vegan options.

They adjust spice levels of food for Indians which is good. They also offer student discounts. Quantity not filling, usually in Tromso wherever I ate(except Burger king) 1 dish was always enough to fill your stomach can't say the same here. If you r an Indian who can't cook indian food (like me) can try here once 1-2 months just for the feel. To be honest I liked the butter chicken I made using Department store gravy masala to the one served here.

This place was so good we went there twice. The best filled and best cooked Aloo Samosas I have ever had. I would highly recommend it.

If you are looking for authentic Indian food this is not the place. Customer service was equally bad and slow, poor at anticipating customer needs like water refills. The only thing good was the rice.....poor value !

The non-veg is not halal and the restaurant informed us before placing an order. We tried vegetarian food along with a fish item and we didn't enjoy it much as our mindset was already excited for non-veg which we did not order. The rating might have been different for non-veg. Samosa was good and the gulab jamun tasted like fried rasgulla. The restaurant should remove the halal information from its website.

The First and the last time here. Vegetarian portion sizes are 50% of portions with meat/chicken. Food is good, but really weird to eat with non-veg friend when he has double as much to eat. Food was good. Service slow.

Service is really good, but the prices are really high for the quality of food that you get. The vegetarian portions are significantly smaller than the meat-based dishes. On top of that the restaurant falsely markets itself as serving halal meat but they actually don't have that. The chai latte and the lassi was pretty good.

I loved the taste of the food here. While in Tromso we ate here everyday and their Butter Chicken is a delicacy.

The food was delicious. I ordered Salmon, rive, and mango sauce. The combination was tasty. Chai was hot and amazing. The resturant was cozy with nice Indian music. The staff was friendly and helpful. The resturant offers different types of vegetarian food. Nice experience 😀

Nice place with a good ambiance. Friendly staff…! Food tasted good but although I feel the quantity was bit less for the price. This is the northern most Indian restaurant I’ve been. There is not much options for veg dishes, I was there only twice in a week’s time. I tried the mixed veg curry and veg korma. Both tasted good was different only can complain about the quantity. I can surely recommend!! Overall experience Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Staff: 5/5 Quantity: 3/5 Price: 2/5 Overall: 4/5

Nice but the slow boil dishes could have spent more time simmering to bring out the full flavors of the spices.

Fantastic food. Don’t go anywhere else for Indian food in Tromso. Taste was spot on for folks from India 😀

They were not able to make anything without onion. The other indian restaurant in the center is able to make a lot of dishes without it, I don't understand how a kitchen can be so inflexible.

Very good food, sweet ambience and indian music. Very nice personal, perfect service. In my hometown there are 4-5 indian restaurants, all with higher ratings on google, all have worse food. The food, the taste, the texture of the meat is on point. Please dont expect prices like in Germany for example. Norway is a little bit more expensive then German, or simply have a look for the menu beforehand.

My wife and I went here to celebrate the conclusion of 25 days of bicycling. The food arrived promptly. My wife had the Mango chicken- not too hot. I had Vindaloo lamb - very hot version. Our meals were well cooked, tasty and served with good rice. We also had 2 types of naan bread. The quantity was sufficient for hungry cyclists. It was a well prepared and presented feast.
