So impressed with this place! If you are a seafood lover you will absolutely love it. All kinds of fresh catch beautifully presented and blending of ingredients to perfection. We came for dinner and we loved it so much that decided to come for lunch the day after. Highly recommend.

Fiskekompaniet is an incredible dining experience in the heart of downtown Tromsø. Norway is known for some of the best food in the world, and this place exemplifies that! When we visited, we had a four-course meal, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was so unique and flavorful, taste was perfectly-balanced with every bite, and everything was presented perfectly and cooked excellent! This restaurant specializes in seafood dishes, and they even have whale and other extremely unique menu items to Norway! You can’t find these things anywhere else. The atmosphere was awesome, I really loved how this place was right on the water and walking distance to so many nice restaurants and shops, and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back when we are visiting Tromsø again! Well done to all the staff at Fiskekompaniet! 😊

We did the 6 course tasting menu - wonderful! We loved getting to try a variety of seafood and fish varieties. All dishes were superb, we would definitely go back. The non-alcoholic pairing menu was unique and fun!

Edit: i’m really rather disappointed that despite the 995 price tag, they still billed 38 for a cup of water 2023-09-26 Exceptionally delicious. Service was great, very patient with our questions and requests. The contrast of the crispy and cleaner red fish with the rich and fatty monk fish was refreshing. Scallop was one of the best i’ve ever had.

Very delicious 👌🏻 Fantastic food and very nice + friendly service. I really like the non alcoholic beverage recommendation suited for the menu. There are very creative creations within it. That should stick also after the current restriction. We definitely come again (but I would recommend to everyone to reserve a table in advance).

Set menu dinner was presented well and had unique flavour combinations. Splitting up the group for set menu dinners vs individual plate dinners was a bit challenging as they don’t allow you to sit together, a policy that should be removed and would likely account for increased ordering/revenue. Otherwise, the waitresses and hosts were very pleasant.

Well… second time in one year we tested them - and same result : great location, busy so you need to book ahead. Food is good but also have seen better aroma and thrilling combinations served in Tromsø for this price - expect to chose between a four or six course menu and the portions at tiny. Yes on gourmet level you always get small Portions but they are creations of art and mastery but here - second time we left hungry….. so not exciting and not bad but somewhere in the upper medium range. First time in January 22 (during covid restrictions) we thought we were just not lucky as all Places had to close at 22:00h but now … still Miniature dishes. Expect to pay 795kr for four course and 995kr for six which is normal level in Tromsø for a good place. Service is professional and fast - in the first seating expect to be asked to leave in 2h which they manage well.

Very nice restaurant with a very nice menu. We had a 4 course surprise menu with pairing wines. The courses as well as the wines were very good. That combined with very pleasant service made this a very joyful evening. The 5 star rating says it all... A must go!

I had 6-course dinner with wine pairing. The food was great and staffs were friendly, and he told me stories of each wine.

It’s my third visit here and this is definitely the place to go if you’re expecting high quality seafood that is not ruined by weird seasonings. Tried their seafood platter for the second time, and everything was just on point. I didn’t want the shrimps (reker) and they substituted it with snow crab legs for me, which was really nice. Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and talkative.

Hey, hey! 10.08.2023, ±7.00 PM. Me and my friend was there! If to be honest - we really enjoyed by the food, view and wine. The 6-menu was great and tasty! Respect for wine list. We've questions to whale... but ok, we ate) I wanna say something about service there. It's zero, sorry. The restaurant with that prices, with that idea... I mean, in theory u can get a Michelin recommendation/star but u will not with that service... Very slow service by waiters, we were sitting without menu around 10 minutes. We asked twice to pour us wine, then we poured wine by ourselves... The wine cooler was on the table and the water dripped down directly on the table. And the food was cooking too long.... at 9 PM we had to leave the restaurant, so we left without dessert. This place about food, view, but not about service, unfortunately. Thanks for the tasty food!

Had an amazing meal at Fiskekompaniet! Their oysters are the best that we have had, and the Lingenfjord shrimps were so sweet. As for the mains (fish stew and catch of the day), they were all excellent with great presentation. To top it off, the service was great and the restaurant was clean. Fantastic dining option!

We where celebrating a birthday and we had the best night possible. The waiters had an unmatchable good vibe, the four course menu was exquisite, and the wine list was perfectly varied. We also had some plates from the seafood bar as the “bolinhos” and the king crab which where amazing.

quite. we enjoy our food in cozy environment. all seafood very fresh. came here for Norway fresh King Crab. Oyster also very fresh and taste good. King Crab price by gram. we ordered 200gram with seafood platter. price as stated in the bill. staff very friendly and helpful

Excellent seafood fresh from the sea seen right outside their window. Enjoy a beautiful view of the harbor with a tower of shrimp, crab legs, oysters and blue mussels (mussels served hot in a delicious creamy sauce). The fish soup was also amazing - be sure to get some bread to dip!

Robert and I were in Tromso for Part One of our Honeymoon and we dined with you twice. Thank you for making it a memorable experience. I cannot remember the name of the gentleman that helped us, but he is your sommelier, he was wonderful!! The food was exceptional and we are still talking about it. 💗💗

Very delicious spot. We had both the six course and four course dinners. Every dish was an absolute joy. Each dish was explained to us in detail and the staff was friendly. We will be going here again if we come back to Tromsø.

We had the 6 course menu and it was very delicious. Perfect fish and sea food, presented with amazing sides in really creative dishes. Nice service, too. Overall a very pleasant experience and a recommendation if you want to treat yourself or others to a really nice dinner.

Excellent restaurant with high quality wine pairing!!!. If you do spend some money on wine in Tromsø, you should definitely try it here: fish dishes that are combined with very surprising regional herbs, mushrooms, seaweed, miso sauces and a top wine arrangement!!!! All the wines were exclusively selected with the taste of the specific dish! We love Michelin star restaurants and I garantee you this one deserves one!

Over-the-top delicious seafood! We sampled all four oysters - delectable. We also sampled both seafood starters and main dishes. I would be hard-pressed to choose a favorite. The dishes were beautifully balanced and simply delicious. Topping it off was a nice light dessert - the perfect ending. I highly recommend Fiskekompaniet in Tromsø, Norway.

Superb food. We had the six course meal and it was amazing. The recommended wines were superb.

We had the 6 course menu and although everything tasted nice it was the same thing each dish - white seafood with butter and cream. By the time we were at the main dish, we couldn’t finish it or enjoy the nuances of the taste differences. The service was okay, but we were having to pour our own wine, hail down waiters to ask to order things, etc. Overall not bad, but for the price point I walked away feeling lacking.

I never have wrote a google review til today after the appalling service . My mum and I were looking forward to eat dinner here on 7/1/22 when we came to ask for a table for two the hostess turned us down since we didn’t make a reservation . We were willing to wait but she insisted that she doesn’t know when any of the guests will leave. But as soon as we were about to leave we saw guests leave and on top of that there were plenty of empty tables . I’m sure the food is amazing after all the reviews show that but the service is 0. I will never spend my money in a restaurant where the hostess is rude .

We had the 4 course dinner and we can’t speak highly enough of it. The taste was superb and the way of preparing known meals like Matjesherring in a completely different and new manner was simply amazing. Our waitress was also very helpful and did her very best to help us non-Norwegian speakers. We will come back!

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, quiet place, easy to talk to eachother, spacious. Waiters were nice and explained each meal. I am not a sweet tooth, but I loved the dessert, amazing combination of flavours. On the contrary, I expected a bit more from the main dish and I was not amazed by it. Overall a nice experience with good food.

We did the 6 course experience, which we highly recommend! The fish stew was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. If you are in Tromso, check this place out.
