This is a truly unique and special restaurant and surely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is truly outstanding and prepared with and visible love for details almost directly infront of your eyes. Each of the 6 courses in the menu is accompanied by an additional small Amuse-bouche presented in a really outstanding way. Additionally to the excellent food the charming service, which really seems to be prepared for every eventuality, is truly remarkable. Go to Smak if you are looking for an evening to remember and I am sure, you will not regret it.

Fantastic Nordic meal in the arctic that beautifully utilizes the local produce, seafood and game. Impressed by the quality and attentiveness of the service with such a small operation. The non alcoholic juices were delicious and made in house with local produce and complemented the meal well. Similar quality to previously dined at Michelin 1 Stars and for a reasonable price, One word of warning for planning your day it is a 5-6 hour experience.

Great food - but too greedy. Average service, average presentation. (or poor, for this price point) Rather simple interior, the service was not very attentive. Wine pairing that starts well into the meal further diminishes the experience (expecting extra purchase) - and then it ends with begging for tip(unworthy such place). The experience is totally average for this price point.

Very, very special evening with amazing food and ambience. Lina made this an absolute experience. She’s the heart of this restaurant and I can highly recommend booking a table here. Divine food (Michelin Quality) great hosts, unique setting. Absolutely loved everything about it.

The most refined restaurant we tried in Tromsø. A menu full for interesting and elegant dishes with local ingredients. The intensity of flavors was exceptional. And the best part was the hospitality of the staff!

We had a wonderful evening at Smak restaurant. Eva-Linda and the kitchen team did everything to ensure that we lacked nothing. A very warm service and a fantastic menu. Each course was a poem and was lovingly served. Products from the region and great wine recommendations to go with it. The non-alcoholic accompaniment was also excellent and went wonderfully with each course. When visiting Tromsø, this restaurant should definitely be at the top of your list!

A truly unique experience, a quiet and relaxing evening in the middle of Tromsø. Food is just amazing, mostly made from local ingredients and short-traveled foods. And the wine pairings have complemented the dishes so well. The service was excellent, warm and charming, and made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend to try it at least once!

I have to say I cant normally be bothered leaving reviews for restaurants but... No words for this restaurant. The tasting menu was out of this world, every single element and dish was made to perfection and was absolutely mouthwatering and Incredible. Umami was there in most plates. Very warm "family" . Spent four hours with this Incredible experience. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys food. The attitude to the ingredients and "wastefood" was also fantastic Bravo and hat's off to the chef!

Absolutely everything about the experience was top notch. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, the wines were outstanding, and you could tell that every element of the restaurant and the experience had been considered to make sure that it all fit together perfectly. I contacted the restaurant before booking to ask about a vegetarian menu and they were able to accommodate me and made me incredible dishes that shared flavors, textures, etc. with the omnivore version of the menu they were serving to other diners. If you can fit this into your plans and budget while you’re in Tromsø, you should absolutely do it. Make sure you show up hungry and plan for about 4 hours for dinner - don’t try to schedule anything with a set time afterwards so you can sit and enjoy each dish.

Absolutely top notch food over 18 small courses. The service was absolutely exceptional. And the wine pairing was perhaps best of all. _______ Each table is booked for one seating per night - we spent around 5 hours for dinner and the cost was around €260 per person including the full wine pairing and a couple of extra drinks each. Expensive and long but honestly offered extremely good value compared to other tasting menus I've done this year. Absolutely worth the visit

Great restaurant and wonderful experience. Me and my wife had a great dine experience at chef’s table. We chose the full menu and everything was delicious. They use seasonal food so we will come back during our next trip in Tromsø
