What a cool cafe in Tromso. I have traveled so much past 10 years and this place takes the Oscar. Amazing coffee, pastries and food. Staff are amazing and willing to help and serve you. I came here everyday on my trip to Tromso. It’s 2mins walk from Radisson Blu hotel so you can just walk into whilst still in your pajamas. I would not recommend pajamas in winter though 😁.. You must check this cafe out. It more than a cafe. You feel like you are coming home and all the ladies are waiting to serve you😁.. Va va voom to this place👊🏽..

Smørtorget is a sweet mix of café and secondhand store. The friendly staff speaks well English if needed and offers good service. They serve a variety of hot and cold food such as sandwiches, soup and cake as well as a decent assortment of coffee, tee and other drinks. One can sit down in one of the cozy corners inside or, in summer, use the chairs in front of the café. It is worth a visit in any case; to just look at the secondhand treasures they sell or enjoy a cup of coffee.

Very lovely and cozy vintage style cafe. It's perfect for an easy morning to grab a bite of good bakery varieties and great coffees. Plus, this cafe is also an antique flea market.

I’ve been to Smørtoget two times and i left there two times really satisfied. The cafe’s interior design was really good that i haven’t seen a decoration like this before in a cafe. Coffee was delicious i preferred americano and i liked it. I recommend to try their apple cake it was really delicious and they also serve it with ice cream and warming the cake. It was delicious. Nice place and nice drinks and snacks!! Prices are affordable for average. Very friendly and sincere service :)

Lovely and charming coffee place in Tromsø sentrum with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes with a relaxing vibe and one of a kind furniture.

A unique setup. It's fun walking in and looking at all the different artifacts and items. The place is cozy yet spacious with various areas to sit. It was pretty busy when I got there around lunch-time. Coffee was good by Oslo based & roasted Solberg&Hansen half&half blend (it's very popular in Tromsø). They sell single-origin whole bean bags of a different brand on-site. Great selection of cakes, pastries, and food options. Prices are high but up to par with Norway.

Lovely afternoon place for a snack or coffee/tea ! The pastries look absolutely phenomenal and we really enjoyed the cinnamon one shown below. The quesadillas and ham toasty were also very nice and filling. The only disappointment is the chai latte which tastes of nothing besides hot milk- very weak.

A very cute cafe, so cozy, with great coffee, tea and pastries - loved it! You can also work there with your laptop and stay for a long time and no one tells you anything.

great coffee shop, they serve a great breakfast menu and have good coffee. The price was affordable. in addition, the atmosphere is incredible, with antique furniture and vintage style clothes on a clothesline for decoration. at times it has good calm music. I recommend it.

Sweet coffee place. Different vibe. Feels like a cozy old fashioned cafe with mismatched furnitures. Had some coffee, while waiting for one of the tours. The thing I liked was, we were allowed to just relax and order when ready. We were really exhausted and just wanted to rest a bit with some nice coffee. Perfect place for that. Thank you dear hosts!

A really comfy location with great coffee and delicious kanelboller! 😊 Even though it is a big place, the mismatched tables, sofas and chairs make it very cozy. The staff is really friendly and attentive. In the front of the café you can find a little antique shop.

I really liked this little café and especially the decoration, the atmosphere and the ambiance. The value for money is very good and there is a wide choice of pastries and other sweets. Thank you to the girls of the reception and the service, we felt very comfortable as soon as we arrived and they answered our requests (toilet, wifi, drink recommendations ...) I recommend their hot chocolate which is just delicious to rest and enjoy a moment of sweetness in the middle of a winter day. There is a shop selling handmade products inside the cafe, you can have a look at it on your way in or out. I really liked the fact that there were a lot of locals crocheting and embroidering which was nice and cute to see!

My husband and I visited Tromsø for one week and already went on the first day to this Café. I can highly recommend it. It such a nice place with a home feeling atmosphere where you can sit for several hours. With nice lo-fi music in the background and all the old chairs and tables. The espresso cake were definitely the best I've ever had 😀 the hot chocolate tasted like real chocolate and not like any cacao powder. Sadly on our second visit the mocca and hot chocolate were not so good. But I think that was because of staff personal.. Because at our next visit everything was like on the first time 😉

Came by to eat today. They had run out of Bacalau soup, which had caught our my eyes on the street. Fortunately, the most beautiful waitress personally recommended some other soup which I then tried. It was great, very tasty. What a wonderful place and atmosphere 👍

This place really takes you out of the everyday stressfull life, and offers you smooth jazz music, an organic menu and a fantastic atmosphere. If you really want to sit down and spend some hours.. just watching everyday life passin by on the outside.. well this is the place.

Amazing spot for a coffee. The staff are so kind. I told them about my allergy and they offered me a fantastic almond based, gluten free cake which was not yet on display. Would highly recommend this to any gluten free pals (see pictured). Not overly expensive for Tromso. Worth a visit!

My favourite cafe in Tromsø, with Risø a close second. Eclectic sums up this place nicely. Walking in off the street, one actually enters a second hand clothes shop, but pass thru and enter Smørtorget, with a main seating area with old style tables in an open space that feels like a lounge. Off this space are 3 adjoining rooms for further cozy seating. Have never seen any other tourists in here, primarily young locals...tho it can be hard to tell. Can also get very popular around 5pm, with après work casualness. Very nice coffee, gluten-free buns are available, delicious spicy gluten and lactose free soup, and modest slices of dark eyes bread atopped with salmon salad etc

One of the pearls found when visiting tromsø. Do you know when you meed something in a between of a dinner and a simple coffee? That is a great choice. We had what we can call a light dinner before our aurora tour and options from sandwich, soup, cake and fajitas were available. Great value for money, not expensive for the norwegian standards. Is well located but my impression is that locals were there, not just tourists. Would get back there for sure.

Cozy and nice place in the city center. They have a nice choice of pastries and cakes, and good tea or coffee. Inside the bar, there's a selection of second hands clothes and more.

This was the first cafe we went to in Tromso. So cozy, delightful interiors, there's also a clothing and accessories store inside. Delicious Apple cake. Hot chocolate could have been warmer, but given the temperature outside was -11°C, can't complain. Very courteous and happy staff.
