An ok place, no a great experience with the staff member who welcomed us. We are cycle tourers, it was raining hard outside. It was 1pm and he said there was no option for us but to come back at 3pm for the check in. As we asked if we could at last already leave our bikes somewhere secured, he simply said “no” and send us 2 blocks away to lock our bikes in the street as that is where we will have to park our bikes anyway during our stay. Before booking we especially called the hotel that then told us we could lock our bike behind the hotel safely. We have friends in the hotel otherwise we would have left. Rooms are very small and compact but nothing is missing. Good bed. It functions like a youth hostel just with a higher $$ rate. The other staff members we met later were all friendly and accommodating. Yet there is no secured option for bikes, which is a shame when you know that Tromso is on a very popular bike road in the Euro velo route network

Very dirty bathroom/shower and very much street noise, especially for us when we lived on the ground floor. It’s a bit cheaper than other hotels if you just need a place to stay, but I would honestly pay a bit more just to have a clean room and some sleep.

We stayed in room 508 which was specious enough for 4 nights. The check in took 30 seconds on the tablet, and the staff at the reception was always very helpful. Room was clean and modern. They offer breakfast bags which you can purchase 24/7 for 115NOK (~£10) with different options, mine had a sandwich, yogurt, banana, smoothie, nut bar - all very good. Deducting one star because, although I understand the reason behind not changing sheets/towels every day, some room service like taking out the bins would be nice. Also, the mattress is not particularly comfortable. When you leave for the airport you can conveniently order a taxi on the tablet at the reception, we did that at 4am and arrived really quickly. The fare is 270NOK (£22) for a 10 minutes ride.

It was so dirty, not clean at all, I found more than 5 hairs from men and women on my bed I don’t think they changed the sheet at all. Walk bare foot on the floor there were small obstacles, the sink in the bathroom have left some small tissue from former residence. I have never been to a comfort hotel as dirty as this. They changed the room for me and under pillow I found stain like someone’s dry saliva. Unbelievable, especially during covid time and doing all those fun but tiring activities during day and come back to this. The front desk was nice, but they could do nothing than a sorry.

We had a great experience at this hotel, because we could self check-in early. The receptionist was extremely kind and honest. My huband was missing his phone and she had kindly held it for us to pick-up. The room is bug enough for two people, just some furniture needs fixing. Other than that great value for money.

No air conditioning... the ventilation system works as a heater and keeps the room at 23C all the time... you cannot open the windows, just 5% and the rooms are always warm.

Some rooms small, they don't have a kettle or anything like that in the room. Warm and cozy. Bed is comfy. Clean and tidy friendly service. Lifts on site. Lobby area with snacks odd drinks. Close by to local shops and tour meet points.

We loved this place, only downside is lack of very small room, little storage space and no kettle but I would still stay here again and recommend it. There are so many great coffee spots nearby.

My friend and I were very happy with the hotel, even though the room was quite small. The location was perfect and the people working there were extremely friendly & helpful! We felt very welcome and would come back:)

Great Location, Smooth check-in Process, World class Room Facilities. Had a really good experience in my recent visit for 6 days stay. Supermarkets are closed, bus stop for almost every part of Tromso & even airport is just 100 mtrs from the property. Very helpful staff & clean rooms.

Very small rooms, expensive (compared to other european cities). Unfortunately there was a lot of residual hair from the former guest when we moved in. Check in under no circumstances possible earlier than 3pm. Not very flexible. Good: Check out at 12am.

Great hotel in the center of Tromsø. Very modern with beautiful views from the large windows in the hotel. The beds are soft and the curtains are very darkening, the floors in the bathroom are heated, the staff is friendly and speaks perfect English. No bad comments. I haven't tried breakfast so I can't comment on that.

We have been there 2 times. The first day the bathroom wasn't clean and smelled. The second time we got a room suited for handicapped people, which isn't a problem at all, but there were no shower curtains so the bathroom was entirely soaked after taking a shower.

The room was very nice, although the room was very warm and I couldn't figure out how to decrease the temperature, the staff were friendly and very helpful. They had a range of food and drinks on offer (however didn't buy any food) the hot chocolate was amazing.

The worst hotel Ive ever been to. First of all the wifi is nonexistent. It is so slow, I had to use data inside the hotel. The check in was with a machine and it said it wasn’t ready even at 5:30. I had to talk to a staff to find out my check in was ready and wasted three hours. They give u two towels and charge you for extra. Total rip off. My room was dirty, dust everywhere and hair on the floors. Theres no phone so you have to go downstairs to ask for everything, you have to ask for cups, towels, napkins, nothing is in your room. Ive been to cheap hostels that I’ve had a better time than this. I recommend booking any place in tromso rather than here I wouldn’t stay here again.

Kävin moottoripyörällä. Hotelli lähellä, naaputi kadulla löytyy parkkipaikka (osittain maksullinen). Mutta kaupungissa on ilmaisia parkkipaikkoja moottoripyörälle. Hoten huone edullinen ja sijainti hyvä.

Good value if you aren't going to be in the room much. The room was just the basic simple setup. The room was clean and decent in size. Not much in the room. There was no room cleaning during a 5 day stay. Hot water is free at the front desk. You have to pay for coffee or tea. Check-In is just a kiosk. If you need to do laundry, there is 1 washer and 1 dryer. Ask the front desk for a time slot and get the keys from them. The location was fairly good. Easy walk to a lot of places.

It was a good place to stay, close to the town center. The staff could have been a bit more friendly. They charge extra for towels if you use more than 2 (1 per person) within your stay which seems a bit unfair. There isn't proper food on the property. It's a basic hotel to stay in, a good choice if you're going to be out most of the time. The rooms are fairly small but clean. The bathroom always has hot water, amazing! But the shower sprays are somewhat broken so that can get annoying.

Pretty good in fairness. It's a no frills hotel right in the centre of the town. Rooms are clean and functional but small and lacking in certain amenities (e.g. kettle). Big plus is that the WiFi provided is free of charge. It is fast enough to watch videos. The rooms are only cleaned twice a week but my stay was short.

Honestly not good value for money at all. You’re only given one towel for the entire duration of your stay (makes the experience unpleasant) Secondly, they don’t clean the rooms (don’t know how that comes under the realm of saving the environment). The rooms are so stuffy/was boiling overnight, yes you heard that right. Boiling in tromso in -7 weather conditions. £450 for two nights, would have been best to book a hostel. Also was super dusty, triggered my asthma. Floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and I found a cheeto under the curtain. Abysmal.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced and well placed hotel in Tromsø then this is for you. Everything was clean, shower was in great condition. The checkin / checkout can be done quickly in the self checkin desk in the lobby.

Room was cozy and nice , but facilities didn’t correspond to the price we pay… and there was no breakfast buffet ( u could only purchase food from the fridge) . The location is nice though and staff is sweet as well

My room was great minus the door between two rooms allowing me to hear my neighbour. The room was cozy and even had vegan soap/shampoo that smells amazing. Staff were really friendly and helpful too!

Fantastic hotel for Tromso, everything on your doorstep, very quiet rooms, compact but very clean and has all you need for a short break away. The small rooms I wouldn't recommend for more that 3/4 nights as has limited storage. Great staff, helpful and always on hand.

Seems to be branded by guests as budget, but this place is modern, clean, professional (and cheap). I had my reservations about my reservation, but everything was great.

Overall, good hotel for budget travel ( Considering the country and touristic value of the city). It is big in terms of the number of rooms and it's very well located in the center of Tromso. In terms of quality, the rooms are decent, but they are not cleaned often and were a bit dirty upon arrival. No housekeeping and fresh towels once per four days! The staff is friendly. Prices are about 100 euros a night, which is very competitive for Tromso. Rooms are a bit too small, especially if you are two people in a room. Breakfast is not included and is sold at the reception area in pre assembled bags or each breakfast item separately. I am not a fan of this method. The common areas for a hotel of this capacity are very small and reduce the feeling of comfort.

This is not a hotel, but a hostel. If you know while booking it is actually quite ok. But if you, like me book a hotel, you will be disappointed. The reasons: no cleaning of the rooms, no breakfast, no bar, no gym, just a very basic room. Now for that I think that prices are too high. For 1100 NOK you expect a hotel, even during mid season in Tromsø. So my advise is to consider what you are looking for and for what price.

I wish I did not stay here, especially not for so long (11 nights), as it was an unimpressive, small room without a kettle. Apparently even in prison, prisoners get kettles, so staying at the Comfort hotel is actually worse than being in prison. It doesn't deserve the name Comfort Hotel as there is little comfort to be found. Even cheekier they make you pay for hot drinks at the reception! It also wasn't warm in my room. I've been in cheap hotels in Zimbabwe which provide kettles. Choose somewhere else.

The rooms are compact, as you can guess from the name of the Hotel (Xpress), there is no kettle available in the room so that can be a turn-off, along with that there are no sachets of tea/coffee/milk. The ambience, the complimentary breakfast and the ambience of the hotel is excellent

Budget hotel in Tromso. Pro - modern, nice layout Cons - poorly designed room - can’t turn TV, minimal light, small bed

Our stay at the hotel was good. It's very basic with minimal facilities. What was a little discomforting was the fact that in our package the room was cleaned only once in 4 days. I understand that for basic package this can be a condition but it was not mentioned anywhere when we were booking it. Also one must know that if you book such a basic room and ask for towel exchange then it is charged. This information you receive when you check in but it's good to know beforehand. People at front desk are very friendly, they even provided us with ice and extra blanket when I fractured my leg during my trip. Location as well is great. Walking distance from main area. So will recommend this if tou really want to go on a budget trip and also keep in mind for basic package most of the things outside of room, bed, towels is charged.

Serious helpful staff, They took the extra steps to make the place feel warm and hospitable. While the check in and check out procedure could leave you with the feeling that no human contact would be cold. They were super attentive. The room was modern and clean and while smaller was definitely a place I would return to again.

Great price and location. The only thing that bothers me: They offer the same deal as in other Xpress hotels which usually includes breakfast, but here you pay the same price and don't get the breakfast which is usually included. They say it is about the environment and waste, but the same chain has breakfast buffet in other places, which makes it seem a bit hypocritical.

Nice and clean hotel located in the city centre! Friendly staff. We had a pleasant stay.

I nice place to stay in downtown Tromso. The staff was very helpful. Be aware that there is no overnight or extended street parking and for out of towners or out of country-ers it is very confusing. Parking is very expensive.

Great location. Rooms are extremely small. Don't expect to get a good night's sleep. Beds are extremely small and mattresses are poor. Spent 2 of my 3 nights on the floor as it was more comfortable.

We stayed in room 427 which was slightly bigger than other rooms as it was a corner room. It was more than sufficient for our 4 night stay. Spotlessly clean and adequately warm (although maybe it was just us but it got a bit too warm at night and couldn’t figure out how to lower the temperature on the thermostat). The toiletries smelled amazing but was not good on my hair and left it tangled - it was one of those for your hands, body, hair all in one. We feel that the price of our room was very reasonable compared to the other hotels in Tromso. The biggest gripe was that the floors are quite thin (laminate wood) so one could easily hear all the footsteps and boots from the room above. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing hotel! The staff is kind and hospitable and the rooms spotless. Those who are lucky enough to get rooms at the top floors, facing the Fjellheisen, will enjoy a wonderful view every night. And, of course, enjoying from bed the amazing sudden appearances of the aurora above the city 😍

Compact hotel - no free breakfast or kettle. Staff were friendly, good location to the bus stops. Useful self service taxi booking at front desk.
