Great lake and a great spot to have a picnic around the lake. Limited food and gas options so make sure you are stocked you before you enter the park. Could be cold at times.

Take the time to drive around the whole lake. You can take a self driving audio tour to help with the interesting places around the lake.

One of the most gorgeous locations in the states that I've ever visited. I seriously considered never going home for a moment LOL! The north side of the lake is more relaxed and quiet. The south side has casinos, shops and a variety of restaurants. We chose to stay on the north side but also visited the south side. When planning your trip make sure you bring comfortable clothing and shoes. Also check the weather. There's a lot of outdoor activities but be aware that everything is pricey. Restaurants on the north side of the lake close very early so if you want dinner you need to get it before 8pm. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

It's so beautiful 😍, we went on business trip. Rented nice boat for 17 people, it's simply amazing. Refer pictures for detail. Must visit Tahoe Lake if you are around that area.

Lake Tahoe is so beautiful! There are multiple spots where you can stop to catch a view of the lake. The water is so clear that you can see the stones inside it. It is a very peaceful and amazing place!

Can’t forget the trip of Lake Tahoe, it was beautiful and reminded of ranches in the Bonanza. The hikes were beautiful, the water and sky was blue. Met avid hikers who were hiking for days, the forest was green. Always better to rent cabin with hot tubs and relax.

Pure Heaven. It was a short trip, so mostly we covered must visit spots like Emerald Bay, Fallen Leaf, Sand Harbor. Heavenly Village is an amazing spot for eateries and shopping. Can pretty much visit here year around.

Beautiful place to visit, the scenery going there was one for the books! We went almost 9000 Feet in elevation seeing the snow tipped mountains and huge trees which was amazing. Part of the city is on the other side of the state line that divides California and Nevada and has casinos if someone is interested in gambling a little and having a great night on the town. The lake itself is really nice, peaceful , and definitely a sight to see.

Gorgeous place with many different spots to kayak, swim and hike. I highly recommend going at the end of August beginning of September. Busy season has ended and the weather is still very nice! As you travel around the lake you will see much different environments. If you love to be on the water then the clear Kayak/Canoe rentals is a great option.

Beautiful mountain lake and community! The colors in the water are unreal, and you can see clearly up to 50 feet deep. Would love to go back and do some scuba diving in the summer or some skiing in the winter. Plenty of spots to hike to to get a great vantage point of the lake. And the sunsets/sunrises are out of this world!

Awesome lake! Definitely stop by emerald bay! I really love this place, in summer the lake is crystal clear. We went hiking. There are many state parks around the lake. If you like mountains and tall trees, the North or West shore is very nice! For activities, nightlife and more dining options, the South shore is the best side of the lake. πŸ₯³

Lake Tahoe is a must go. Its one of the best spots in California for many reasons. You can have fun summer for water sports and winter for skiing. Just check out the pictures and decide yourself.

Lake Tahoe is a family favorite of ours but more than me, it's my wife's and my daughter's most favorite place to visit. The lake itself is such a beautiful place...the south is all touristy and we've been there many times, but this time we decided to live on the north side (Incline Village) and take in the sights there. The water color is such a beautiful blue and shades of it as you go around its 114 mile circumference. It's the 2nd deepest lake in the US after Crater Lake. Also, it's a destination both for Summer (Kayaking, Canoeing, SUP, boating, fishing or hiking) or Winter (mainly skiing). There are some breathtaking hikes here...we did the East Shore hike which goes along the lake and you can cycle on it too...and there are dozens of hikes that take you up in the mountains to views to die for. You'll never get tired of visiting Lake Tahoe. Our dream is to own a summer home there...one day!

Definitely worth a visit. The drive leading up to The Lake Tahoe is really pretty. Scenic with mountains, ice caps and flowers. The town itself is really cool. Lots to shop, eat and things to do. The lake has lots of options to do as well, such as kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, renting a boat etc. They even have charcoal grills and picnic tables through the lake. It's definitely worth the drive.

If you are in Tahoe without a car you are making a mistake. You must drive around the entire lake. You can take three hours or all day. Multiple parks, hikes, historic buildings and lookouts. If you have another day take 207 to Genoa-Carson City-Virginia City

Such a lovely experience, though it wasn’t a good time to visit the lake in winter during high snow time but still we loved that place. Specially the drive from Reno was an amazing experience. Mountains covered with snow gave another lovely push in our experience. Would definitely visit again in spring or summer to experience the real beauty of the lake.
