This hotel-turned-restaurant has a gorgeous interior with quality food. Unfortunately when we went they were out of the majority of their dishes and service was slow, but the food they did have was still delicious. I recommend going earlier in the day (for lunch or an early dinner) and expecting to spend 1.5-2 hours there.

Not recommended for solo travellers. In most cases they will only serve to families or larger groups first. Maybe they'll take note of the obvious 'gringos'. Otherwise, it's too big of a restaurant and not enough customer service or organization among staff. It's not worth the wait until somebody will finally hand you a menu. Best to find a smaller restaurant elsewhere, and don't bother with their smaller location either - it's the same customer service.

Food is unhealthy but so damn good! Specially after we drove 500km in mountains, all day didn’t eat, everything just went in with a whistle! Pisco sour did it’s job. Everyone is full and happy!! Recommend for road travelers

I went to this restaurant in Trujillo, Perú in October 2023, 9 pm aprox. The waitress said: welcome, but at the same time, she said: several items in menu are unavailable. So, my family and me, we had to leave and look for another restaurant.

I ordered a frito trujillano for breakfast and it was somewhat delicious. The pork meat was a bit difficult to deal with as it was thick. Wish I had more time to finish it all. Anyway, I believe there might be better options just based on the price.

We enjoyed dinner 2 nights and Saturday breakfast during our week stay.

Best restaurant in Trujillo!!! Amazing local dishes and Peruvian dishes in general. I highly recommend: ají de gallina, cabrito, cuy, shambar (only Mondays and go early). Cuzquena Trigo beer 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

If your Journey takes you to historical Trujillo in Perú, where you not only will be able to admire a traditional location where peruvian writer César Vallejo use to stay, but also enjoy some of the best food in north of Perú, like fried Guinea Pig, Rice and Duck and many more. (Yes I said Guinea Pig and it was delicious!)

This place has very nice food at reasonable prices. We tried cabrito and sancochado. The cabrito had a mild taste so if you prefer mild taste this is for you as it was very good. The sancochado was very tasty with intense taste which was also nice. Only thing to improve is to make the broth less oily.

Good classic Peruvian food, specializing in seafood dishes. Service a bit lax, but friendly.

Take too long to prepare sangria, even when the bar was not busy at all. I ate anticucho and it was a bit cold and also to hard to eat

Welcome to the family Madrigals home! :-) I'm veggie. I'm a mum. If you have young kids (up to about 7/8yo) they will love this place for the play area at the back. The walls are adorned with Marvel superheroes! Stunning location, that actually reminded me of the Encanto house, stunning food, efficient and friendly service. I loved the creamy, freshly made Huancaina sauce - the best I've tasted in Peru! The house salad was generous and also fresh. However, it's the cheesy HUMITAS that stole the show! Goodness me! Freshly-ground, tender corn with slithers of andean cheese inside. Must go there again before I leave Trujillo! Highly recommend.

Amazing food! Can't say enough good things about it. The service is great and the value for your money is unbeatable. Clean bathrooms, great decor, comfortable seating.
