😐 It is a monument of Trujillo. Colonial Church. It is next to the Court. The building is neglected. External walls and roof deteriorated. Inside it has the classic beauty of colonial temples.

Church and Superior Court of Justice On our return to this city, with the family we did a City Tour, we returned to this Mercedaria Church located in the middle of the fifth block of Jr Pizarro with its façade facing a passage, in which there is also the façade of the old Convent and which today Today it is the headquarters of the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad. Its façade looks terrible, totally neglected, with visible signs of poor maintenance. Inside, the most notable thing is the pendentives, the meeting of the columns with the dome of the Temple, which in polychrome reliefs describes the life of San Pedro Nolasco.

Nice place, with a nice little square, perfect for resting or having a snack in the places that are nearby, you can have a good wine or another drink of your choice, or if you prefer a sandwich with a coffee, or simply enjoy a break in this charming little square next to the church

Very beautiful temple, it is a pity that no one does their part for its proper restoration, it belonged to the order of the Mercedarians, but neither the school of Fine Arts nor the ministry of culture have due respect for the heritage.

The style of the central nave and the side naves is quite old and well preserved. Inside it has 3 patios with classic architecture. There are old canvases in the first patio.

It is a shame that such a beautiful church is so deteriorated, I hope that in the not too distant future they can restore it so that I can visit it once again, however, at the rate we are going it seems likely that this will happen in the medium term, well to have faith and so it happens. And as it has been well explained to us Catholics, our faith is not based on a specific physical place but on our Lord who lives in the heart, churches are places of meditation and prayer in the physical sense, but in the spiritual sense they transcend space.

Very beautiful church, quiet place in the heart of the city, its surroundings evoke the colonial era. It's a shame that they let it deteriorate so much, days ago part of the roof fell off, it still remains closed and is due for "restoration".

I could only see it from outside. It deserves to be recovered inside but it has a cozy square

Very beautiful, I was impressed, so much so that I would like to return, every Sunday, the Holy Mass was excellent, and above all the priest's homily, very precise, of course. And understandable for everyone.

👍👍 Loving green areas is part of what I like about a city, this is one of my favorites because of everything that as a family you can enjoy in it. Those moments that are magical for all the members of your family. So many memories and so many moments is what makes life amazing. You don't need more than...
