Hotel Guanaja has amazing customer service. Breakfast is included and you can make requests which was a great option to have. The rooms are clean, and your laundry can be done by the hotel staff which is a big plus!!! It is usually breezy in the East End which was awesome because my family and I were always cool during the hot summer time. I highly recommend anyone to stay at this location because it is also not overly priced like some of the other hotels on the island. Thanks to all the staff for your special care and attention…you all made our trip memorable and we WILL be back in the future!!! 😊😀😃😄😁😆😎

First class resort with calm island feel! Perfect vacation and dive spot. Reasonable prices with outstanding service. Wilson, Gabi, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Wilson was very attentive to questions and communication prior to the trip as well. Meals were delicious and beautifully plated. Rooms were clean with hot water and A/C (although with the abundant windows and sea breeze it wasn’t needed). Jorge, the dive instructor, is amazing. Very patient in taking two landlubbers, certifying them for open water dives, and having them diving with sharks within three days. The coral is absolutely amazing and we just scratched the surface of the available dive sites. Also spent a brief morning fishing that produced 10 barracuda. Hope to return soon!!

Imagine the Hotel-Manager Wilson being your dive-guide - diving in shorts and a white shirt and showing you the beauty of the unspoiled coral-reef in front of the Hotel. He also helped us to get out of the jungle and back to the hotel after my girlfriend broke her toe while hiking to a beautiful waterfall on the other side of the island. Quite an adventure that ended well thanks to Wilson. That´s Hotel Guanaja - you feel at home and taken care of by the whole staff. The place is just beautiful. The cabins are spacious and directly in front of the beach. On the front porch you will find a hammock and a swing bench. You feel like you are in a private place having your own cabin. Breakfast and dinner are served on the terrace of the hotel. As the island has just one road everybody moves around by boat. There is a jetty in front of the hotel. You arrive here after a boat-trip from the Airport. And as a diver this is the place to start your daily tour. The dive center is part of the hotel-complex and you can plan your dives very individually according to your level and expectations. So close to the equator you´ll have at least one heavy rain per day - but it passes as fast as it comes and helps to cool down a bit. We have been on Guanaja in August 2022, and due to the power supply on the island there have been power-cuts nearly every day ranging from one to four hours. We have been told that in february 2023 there will be a completely new power-station on the island providing enough electricity for everybody - so let's hope for the best. During the power-cuts you will be rewarded with an awesome night-sky - as there is no light pollution from other islands or cities nearby. So just relax, lay down on the jetty and enjoy the milky way over your head. We loved the place and will surely come back some day.

Perfect spot to stay on Guanaja. Excellent accommodations - room, food, activities! Management and staff go beyond expectations. The entire island is full of the most wonderful people. Definitely coming back.

Hotel Guanaja was a wonderful surprise. I can't say enough good things about this place and its staff. We stayed in a studio with kitchen because we like to cook at night and it was just perfect. It is very well decorated and very spacious. It also had a great balcony with a big swing and a hammock with a wonderful view to the beach. Each morning we woke up, opened the front door and were amazed by the beauty that surrounded us. Breakfast is served every morning in the hotel restaurant. Typical and very fresh, once again, with amazing views. We also dove with the hotel's dive shop and José, the instructor and the boat capitan, Jorge, were super easy going and fun. You should try it! The managers, Wilson and Gabriela, are always there for you. Anything you need, any questions you have, they are always available. We left Guanaja a few hours ago and I already miss it. This hotel is absolutely fantastic. It provides all you need to enjoy your stay on the island: beautiful and comfortable rooms, cosy common areas and nice food. You’ll have delicious breakfasts on a great deck visited by hummingbirds all day long with a stunning view on the beach and the lagoon just in front. The staff, from the managers to the beach mans, the cooks and the dive master, is incredibly friendly and easy going. We came here for working and kitesurfing, and this place exceeded our expectations. The hotel provides great wifi and is located right on the only accessible beach to launch a kite (the other ones require a boat or a 30 minutes walk in the jungle - great experience btw). Thanks for everything, we’ll get back, for sure :)

Hotel Guanaja is a dream location. Amazing food. Affordable prices. Beautiful views. Rustic atmosphere. And, above all, some of the most kind and lovely staff that you will meet. Everyone at Hotel Guanaja makes you feel at home and is incredibly accommodating and helpful. The diving is fantastic and some of the best in the world. The dive masters make you feel comfortable, no matter your skill level, and are great at pointing out special characteristics underwater. We’ll be back!

(My real name is Hannah) but Hotel Guanaja is a wonderful hotel and experience! All of the staff here are first class and strive to take care of you and ensure a great stay your entire trip! They truly care about each of their guests! The boat ride to get here is not bad at all! This hotel and surroundings is so beautiful and scenic, the ocean is so clear and perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving, or just swimming or fishing. The food here is amazing and presented so well! You won’t regret coming to this beautiful island and meeting the great people that inhabit it.
