I came to the End of the World Resort because the owner Brian Rowland participated in a German-Honduran pilot project for innovative solar solutions with lithium storage. As the local manager of the project I spoke with him frequently, always being amazed by his positive energy and drive. When I finally got to see End of the World in person, I understood that only a person with this kind of energy could run a place that is so well taken care of in such a remote and challenging location. The resort is absolutely stunning, so is the nature that surrounds it. It also definitely was a highlight of our project inauguration tour and very worth the extra days we spent there. I'm happy to have participated in the process of bringing clean energy to End of the World and hope to be back very soon.

Can’t say enough good things about Brian and the hospitality his daughter and staff showed me. I called as last minute as possible for a last minute trip and Brian accommodated and set up pick up from the airport and boat to his area no problem. And by last minute i mean i had no plans to go anywhere, 12 hrs later im On a flight down, 24hrs later im safe and sound at the resort. Scuba was great, Brian is super knowledgable and is there to help you with anything you may need. A very gracious and stand up host. He is a good man and his crew are all very good people. Ive never done anything like this before and for a solo traveller i felt safe and taken care of the entire time. Cant wait to come back again. Thank you Brian!!

We read several reviews about this destination and determined EOW would fit our plans for an escape (at least temporarily) from pandemic fatigue, winter doldrums and a busy work schedule. The prospect of a quiet atmosphere, a relaxed pace, the beauty of the Bay Islands and great diving fit the bill. Getting There (and Leaving) – Our host, Capt. Brian, was 100% involved from start to finish. He was in contact with us every step of the way and coordinated our travel to and from the resort once we arrived in Honduras. The requirements for re-entering the US during the pandemic involved receiving a Covid-19 test prior to departure. Capt. Brian personally scheduled our Covid-19 tests and took us to the local health clinic to ensure that the documentation was correct for our departure. Knowing that we had a tight flight schedule for the return home, Capt. Brian stopped into the local airport office the day before we left to confirm our flight was scheduled & on time. Accommodations – The rooms at EOW are built uphill from the beach and offer an awesome view of the ocean & the surrounding landscape. The elevated location of the rooms also provided for a very pleasant breeze throughout the day & made for comfortable evenings. The rooms were very clean & comfortable & the staff visited daily with fresh bedding & towels (unless you request otherwise). Food – Capt. Brian is also a master chef! He, along with Stephanie & Ashley, saw to it that we never went hungry! Three delicious homemade meals per day, including fresh vegetables, steak, lobster, shrimp, grouper and of course, specialty cocktails. The outdoor masonry grill is something to see! Diving – We had 5 days of wonderful diving. It had been 2 years since we had been diving & Brian & Jordy made certain that we were comfortable & well attended to. We only brought our masks & snorkels, which wasn’t a problem since the resort is well equipped with gear that was very well-maintained (BCDs were brand new). Visibility was good to excellent with light to almost no current. The healthy coral, abundant fish and a relaxed pace made every dive a pleasure. Highlights include nurse sharks, green moray, rays, barracuda and turtle. If you visit, make sure to ask for a dive at the extensive swim-throughs, they are fantastic! There are numerous dive sites just minutes from the resort dock so long boat rides weren’t necessary and the surface intervals were spent on several secluded (nobody there but us) beaches close to the dive sites. Can’t say that surface intervals were ever a dive highlight before but these between dive stops were very relaxing and became something to look forward to. Bonus- The snorkeling is great with several sites a short walk from the resort. BOTTOM LINE – No colored wrist bands here! A personalized diving experience by people who care about where they live, the people they work with, & their guests. Our comfort & satisfaction were their top priority! We arrived as guests, we left as friends! We don’t usually visit the same place twice, but EOW may be the exception!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at the EOW resort in December 21. We are both scuba divers and spent as much time as possible diving. The most exciting thing that happened was that we saw and swam with the friendly Nurse Sharks on almost every dive. For me, a dream come true, and they swam along with us for most of the dive. EOW’s dive master taught us how to spearfish the invasive Lionfish , which was so much fun and we had some amazing meals which were prepared by the chef when we returned with our catch. During one of the surface intervals between dives, a pod of dolphins swam through and we were able to jump in with them and one stuck around and played with me for a few minutes. The encounters with the dolphins and Nurse Sharks are among my top diving experiences ever!We were able to do some night dives where we saw lobsters everywhere, octopus, and even spotted a Shawn the Sheep Nudibranch that I have only seen in the Phillipines. One of the most beautiful dive sites is right around the corner from the resort, Micheal’s Rock. It was shallow so it is great for snorkeling too. Great fish variety and gorgeous sea fans everywhere. We spent Christmas there, and I have to say, Brian, the owner, went all out. We had an incredible seafood buffet, and they built two bonfires on the beach so Santa Clause could find the dock to visit Brian’s beautiful daughter, Martha. Before dinner, we always had a special drink of the day, which Brian made the best EVER pina colada made with fresh coconut milk! The view from our cottage was spectacular and I enjoyed the property with all of its lushness and palms, mangos, banana trees and flowers. Hummingbirds were everywhere and there were loungchairs and hammocks to relax in under a canopy of Palm trees. The staff was great, always setting up our dive gear, making great meals, keeping our room fresh , and even bringing me homemade chicken soup and tea to my room on a day that I was sick. I was truly sad to leave my new friends at End if the World and hope to visit again! A very special and remote place. Thank you Brian and your staff for taking such great care of us and for a trip of a lifetime!

I had a great and absolutely memorable stay at this wonderfully unique spot well off the beaten path. I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived as my friend did all the planning and I had zero experience diving, which is a focal activity there. After a long day of travels from the US, we were extended a warm and genuine welcome by Brian and staff as we approached the resort’s dock. The resort style is relaxed and quickly feels like home with easy access to the beach, canteen/tiki bar, and outdoor lounge area equipped with comfortable adirondacks and hammocks. The landscape design and vegetation on the resort is beautiful and thoughtfully planned. Ask Brian for a little tour – it’s cool to learn about different kinds of local foods grown on the trees and plants all around. My week’s plan differed from other guests who were experienced divers, as my days were spent balancing my open water certification studying, hands-on instruction, training dives, and a healthy mix of rest and relaxation. Other guests remarked that my diving instruction was especially thorough compared to what they’ve seen on their travels over the years. Their observations matched what I experienced and I felt prepared for the dives with other guests by the end of the week. The people around the resort were a huge part of what made the trip so special. Brian is clearly wired for service and making sure guests are comfortable, have what they need, and are having a fantastic time. The other staff and cooks are warm, friendly and attentive as well, and the operations at the resort are fun to watch. The team adapts to their guests’ needs and outdoor conditions with ease (at least they make it look easy). I also get the sense that the End of the World Resort attracts guests who are especially friendly and interesting. In our short stay we met a variety of adventurers, families, and diving enthusiasts who couldn’t get enough of the underwater world in easy reach of the resort. I’ve travelled quite a bit and found this resort and vacation experience to be refreshing and a nice departure from what is common around the Caribbean. I’m so glad my friend found it and brought me along – it’s a trip full of experiences that I’ll be talking about in the months and years ahead.

My wife and I stayed at The End of the World Resort a few months back. We also stayed there a few years ago too. It was well worth a second visit. Brian the owner has always kept in touch with us. Going back was awesome, even better than the first time. The gorgeous beaches, warm clear water and the beautiful resort are unbelievable. Brian and JJordie are great hosts. The fishing is also incredible, some of the best ever. We are planning to go back again in another year or so. The Island itself is a great place also, very friendly and safe.

During the pandemic we got cabin fever and had to get out for a vacation. “Off the beaten Path” is certainly right! This place was smack on a beach with another bar about ¼ mile down the beach and a few unoccupied cabanas in between. I don’t scuba but gave it a try with my husband. It was a terrific experience. Brian and Jordan are knowledgeable and gracious. The staff was eager to please and were very pleasant. Covid-19 protocol was practiced and done extremely well. I felt safe and secure with all precautions that the staff took to keep the place clean and sanitary. The food was awesome. We love seafood and had our share. Lobster, fresh caught fish, Giant crab claws and shrimp. It was delicious. Rooms were simple, airy, amazing views and comfortable sheets and beds. An extremely relaxing trip and lots of fun

End of the World is a FANTASTIC place for a get away from it all relaxing vacation! I visited for a week of diving and had some incredible dives with healthy corals, fish, sharks etc- all dives led by Capt Brian and his son Jordan. When I wasn't ready to leave, they accommodated me to extend my stay to a second week where I used the wifi to work remotely. Loved my room and the views, the tiki bar, the meals. Most of all Brian, Jordan and the staff were awesome and made my trip better than I could have imagined. Can't wait to return.

EXCEPTIONAL VACATION: Hotel is in great shape. Peaceful, secure and manicured. Everything you can want or need is on the premises. Great TIKI bar, restaurant, Dive shop, fishing guide, right-on-the-beach, dock and miles of beach to walk and explore. The staff is accommodating and attentive interactive with the guests. Some places the workers don’t seem interested or they are not permitted to do so. Here, the owner encourages this and it makes a better experience for the guests. There is always some kind activities going on. Snorkeling trips and instruction, diving, fishing crab hunts, beach fires, Nature hikes and boat excursions. Hammocks are abundant and really comfortable. Rooms are clean and simple, completely comfortable and well ventilated. The water pressure is great! Meals were always fresh and tasty. We ate the best seafood cooked in a mud stove/oven. Locals flocked to this place to eat, drinks and enjoy the beach at the resort. This place is a fantastic place and something you would imagine from a South seas novel.

I spent 12 amazing days with Brian and his staff at the EOW resort. Brian was the best host and took care of everything including some last minute Honduran travel snafus personally, not to mention dove Every day with me, was the bartender, joke teller ( this one could use work), and grill master. His staff was just as attentive, the cook learned my tastes in food, had coffee ready as soon as I came down in the morning. Everything was taken care of before I could think of it. If you truly want to get away from it all, and have a perfect diving excursion, I can't recommend this place enough. We never saw another dive boat on any of the sites we were on. Had fresh conch, fresh fish, Night dives were amazing. I had 51 dives while in Honduras and Brian made sure to make mine while at EOW special and memorable.

Excellent option! Very good location! They offer transportation from the airport and has private beach and is quite far from the center so it is quite private. Sincerely it was a surprise we adapted without problem and we enjoyed the stay very much. Very good food and sea views. They can also manage trips to the town which I recommend to try Caribbean food and get to know local culture as well as the traditional snorkeling trips
