Love the location and the scenery. We had to wait a little bit as apparently they were slightly short-staffed. Food was good we had American food even though it was a Mexican restaurant just didn't want to have to travel further today. Very pleasant customer service. Very unique experience. PS we saw their sopapillas just too tired to get it they were huge and looked good.

The food was wonderful and our server was super friendly and attentive. When we expressed how much we liked their salsa and asked for to go containers to bring home the left over salsa we hadn't finished he brought us extra salsa to take home! The sopapillas were my favorite part of dinner! They were amazing and light and delicious with honey.

We were served delicious salsa and chips followed by very tasty combination plates! Our server and the host made sure our drink glasses never went dry! (Our friendly server also had a nice singing voice, which we enjoyed, as well)

Asked for red chili cheese enchiladas with a side flour tortilla. They made me red chili enchiladas with flour tortillas and added greasy hamburger on top. With no side tortilla. Wife's salad was OK . Really expensive for what we received. Will not be returning!

We stayed in a nearby hotel and looked this place up. We were skeptical with the reviews. I will tell you without a doubt the reviews are wrong! The food was some of the best we have ever had. Hands down. All 3 if us seek out Mexican whenever we can. This was easily in the top 2% of all the Mexican food we've had allover the southwest. Our server John is the alltime BEST server we have ever had in our 44 years of life. I would recommend this place and if you can ask for John you won't be disappointed in my opinion.

With all of the recent closures of restaurants in this town, those that remain seem to be overwhelmed. Food is great, prices are commensurate with quality, but staff seem shorthanded.

Great atmosphere, good service and delicious food! And definitely not Utah margaritas!!! We enjoyed the tamales and beef fajitas. The salsa has a great kick!! We enjoyed our dinner.

Our go-to Mexican restaurant is Tony's, but they were closed today, so we thought we'd try La Cocina. We haven't eaten there since it first opened at their current location years ago. We were greeted with a sewer smell as we walked in the door. As we left we found the smell was coming from the restrooms, which are located right behind the front desk, so that explains that. We can't eat cilantro, so when they brought the salsa and chips I told them we'd skip the salsa but they had salsa without cilantro, so that was nice. My wife had the chicken soft taco plate. It was good, but she was not a fan of the rice. I had the ultimate enchilada plate. It was also good, but I also thought the rice was lacking. It's easy to see that the whole place needs to be renovated as the carpet was very dirty, the paint was chipped and the decorative tiles on the tables have seen better days. The service was great from the host to our server Jeanette, who was very nice. We thought it was a bit pricey for the less than stellar ambience. If/when they ever renovated we might give them another try, but until then we'll stay with Tony's.

We went to La Cocina in Truth or Consequences a few days ago. It is an artistically inspired restaurant that has beautiful inspiring art all over. You can see some thought went into wanting to make a nice place for people. The staff were all very kind. Brianna was our table assister and was very warm. We visited with her some on family history and our heredity, interesting historical stuff, just a very naturally kind person. I don't live so far away, and the kind atmosphere make returning an easy matter. I do wish when this restaurant was built, that they had built the large view windows on the side that looks out facing the beautiful mountain there, because La Cocina has a wonderful advantage over other restaurants in the hill the restaurant is on offers a wonderful view of the mountain area when you're outside - it would be so good to sit inside and be able to view that out..

Worst visit ever . Food was so nasty and old . Mashed potatoes were dry and lumpy. The rolls are hard as rocks and had to ask for them when they should come with meal .very expensive for old nasty food . This will be my last time coming here sadly McDonald’s would have been better .

Ordered the #3 combo which had a Cheese Enchilada, Ground Beef Taco and a Chile Relleno. The Relleno was 75% breading and 25% cheese stuffed chile. The ground beef in the taco tasted a little dry. The cheese Enchilada was fine, as well as the beans and rice. I was ultimately just disappointed with the Chile Relleno.

Best stop between Tucson & Denver! Scott, our server, was great! The chili relleno and tamale were fresh and delicious. Sopapillas are giant but we still had one each.

Took forever to get food. Only a few table. Not busy at all. Drink refills, no. Chip refills, no. Food was not good at all. How do you burn 2 plates of flautas. Rice was hard and beans runny. The sour cream was good :/ I will not share this restaurant location with anyone.

Good food, better service. One of the waitresses gave me my leftover food I had forgotten and accidentally locked herself out in the process. She's the best 10/10 would forget my leftovers again.

Waiter and staff was nice. The food is awful, worst Mexican food had in a long time....especially for how nice of a place it looks like. Rice was hard and pretty sure was Uncle Ben's minute rice. Took a long time too...hard to believe the kitchen put this out.

One of the best eats in town and it's right off the highway. I've eaten there a several times and always left with a belly full of great food. Funnily enough I think their American dishes are even better than their Mexican food. Best American in town!

Very delicious food, but the service seems to have an attitude. Except for the sweetest old lady working tables. I left her a good tip, paid about $20 a person very pleased with my meal.

This place has been around for a while. We refer to it as the Mexican restaurant on the hill. This is my go-to place for dinner. I have yet in the many years I have gone there to finish the ultimate enchilada, atacked 4 high with rice, beans and quacamole. It's very tasty with the right amount of spice to it. The place is always busy.

Very good & very affordable. Food was hot, chips & salsa we're fresh. Didn't wait long at all. Staff was great & accommodating. Look forward to going again next time we are in the area.

Ate at La Cocina about a month ago, long wait time. Food was ok. Recently we decided to give it another try. This time, wait time was not too long, but all of our plates were not warm. My grandsons ate cold burgers and fries. The rest of us had Mexican food which would have been 100% better if hot! Salsa and chips were good. Although the ambiance is nice, the food and service have much to be desired. In the future, we will try the other Mexican Restaurants in town.

Service was excellent and friendly. Atmosphere was cozy, but not cramped. The temperature of the restaurant was pleasantly warm and not freezing. We were not rushed out. Just passing through: Food was excellent! Fresh. Green chili sauce had a bit of a kick, but excellent flavor! The tamale was well flavored and very large. The ground beef tacos had the perfect flavoring – not too plain and not too much. You could really get the flavor of the beef as well as the seasoning. We definitely gave our compliments to the kitchen!

Food was excellent!! I have to recommend the Green Chile bacon cheeseburger . It was juicy well flavored and cooked to perfection. It literally looked like a picture perfect burger! Service an awesome and the atmosphere was great! Friendly people

We ordered the chicken Cesar salad and the New York strip meal. The atmosphere was nice. The waiter was just ok. The food was just ok. Chicken Cesar salad=underwhelming… dressing tasted weird and chicken was not the best. steak was not hot, just warm but was not a bad cut and the baked potato was dryer than a popcorn fart.

👍👍 Tony's is the best..! Today was my 59th Birthday so we had to eat there to celebrate. My wife and I had our first date there 14 years ago when it was still LaPinata. As a result we had them caterer our wedding. We just moved back to T or C less than a month ago and we've already eaten there 4 times....
