What I appreciate about La Paloma most is how the owner/management has a passion for both sharing, and protecting, these sacred waters. It's a small, quiet, humble place where I experience the deepest healings and relaxation. Come to La Paloma if you are looking for that kind of Truth. If what you want is Consequences, there's another hot springs in town, more social, where you can get talked-at by creepy old men while young superficial girls in bikinis take pics of themselves doing handstands for their insta page. Thanks La Paloma for keeping it real.

Incredibly charming place to stay in ToC with easy access to rustic, natural indoor bath springs (from early morning to late at night). Make sure you check our the footbaths in the bathhouse. The property is also beautiful β€” cozy hammocks, nice chairs, very quiet and perfect for a little getaway. Everyone i met working here was super helpful and nice.

Very difficult to give this 3⭐️ because the customer service was great, the hot spring was euphoric but if you are staying the night, the bed was stiffer than a board and I woke up basically in tears because I was in so much pain from trying to sleep. I would say a daycation there instead of overnight would be best. Pet friendly as well but if your dog isn’t used to going potty on gravel. A dog park is down the road. Slightly inconvenient for our pup’s🐢 liking.

Great location in the heart of historic downtown T or C. Quirky. Clean. Old motor lodge refreshed for today. Small rooms but had everything we needed! Peaceful courtyard (beautiful landscaping) with hammocks, glider chairs, bbq, and fire pit. HBO. Wifi. Coffee in room. Microwave, toaster oven , small fridge & coffee pot. Tea, hot chocolate and popcorn stocked. Hot springs were HOT. I really felt the therapeutic benefits! Had several natural pools in their indoor bath house. The only thing that kept me from giving 5-stars was having to sign-up to soak at specific times in 30 minute increments - with the attendant sitting outside waiting for me to finish. I was told that after 30-minutes we had to get out and cool down and drink water. I am a regular hot springs soaker. I am an adult. I know my limits. I would have liked the option to soak and lounge around the pools at my leisure - at the times that worked for me (like at midnight). I prefer pools that are outdoors but their oldest, outdoor, pool is not currently used. I soaked 3 times during my two night stay. Some rooms have a toilet and shower. Some have a toilet only. Some have neither - using a public bathroom on site.

I would move to New Mexico just to be closer to this place. I wish I could bottle the feeling I had driving in at night with the desert breeze and smells. The staff are super nice, place is very clean, water is minimally treated with chemicals. Office also has all kinds of lovely healthy snacks and lotions and things for sale. Our room was basic but cute and comfy. We sat under the stars after soaking and it was like being close to the sky. It was so peaceful and beautiful. If you are anywhere here you MUST visit. Simply other worldly.

Such a great stay and it felt like the stress of the world 🌎 was lifted off my family and my shoulders every time we took a dip. Thank you Cyndi for the serenity and experience.

This is a really special place! It doesn't look like much when you're driving in, but the court yard is lovely and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The soaking tubs are a bit dated, but that's the only negative about them. You have 24 hr access to them while you're staying at the hotel. The water is very hot and comes right out of the ground through the gravel bottom of the tubs. This place is well worth the very affordable price.

Absolutely loved my stay here! 24 hour access to the spa, rooms were lovely, walking distance to restaurants, serene environment. The staff were extremely polite, even though we didn't get off the road to check in until 4:00 am. They even accommodated us when we decided to stay another night. We both got massages, and I must say, Andre' has got to be the BEST masseur ever. I cannot wait to come back to this awesome place!

It's a dated motel in a dated town that remains extant because of its access to local hot springs. Our particular room ironically did not have hot water or a locking bathroom door.

Ok I drove 4 hours because on their website it advertises walk in for 7 to 10 dollars. Also a video advertised it. When I got here they were closed and get this.... when I asked where else I could go ... she said "pick a number" and was incredibly unhelpful. Omg. Wow

(La Paloma just purchased Hay-Yo-Kay). My favorite place to go!! This is the ONLY naturally fed hot spring in T or C. The water comes in through the spring and not piped in through PVC like the other places. You can even see the water feed into the building. Naturally circulating to keep the water clean and fresh. Employee's are very friendly. Discount for local area residence (Las Cruces). This is the place we take our out of state guests when they come to visit and want to do the hot springs. No appointments are required but call to check the times. They change with the season. Example: Summer is 8am-12 then from 5pm-11pm. Closed during the heat of the day when soaking in the pools would not be fun. Quiet & Relaxing. Swimsuits are optional in the private pools.. Long house does require swimsuit. It may not be the fanciest place to go, but I feel it is the best!!

Due to issues involved with traveling with my mother-in-law we missed a reservation and they charged us full price without us staying there. So if you are traveling beware of this sketchy business practice.

We have been twice (once 2017 winter and once 2018 spring). Both stays have been amazing. The hot springs are really relaxing and private. As a guest, you have access 24 to 5 private springs. These are also springs, not tubs with hot spring water pumped into them. The overall ambiance of the bathhouse and hot springs was very relaxing, and it was good for meditation. The rooms, although small, are efficient, clean, and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, including the bathhouse cat! We were just enjoying the sunset and the cat decided our laps were the perfect place to take a nap! He was a cutie.

Absolutely fantastic, I love the atmosphere of this place. 24-hour access to some of the pools if you rent a room which is absolutely awesome. The Rake really can't be beat depending on which room you decide on or get. It's within walking distance of downtown even though downtown don't have much. every time I've been here the staff has been different but they've always been pretty friendly. I crashed out last night and a hammock for about three and a half hours under the night sky. the only real suggestion I have is the go ahead and ditch the flood lights on the east side of the compound that shine into the courtyard. They give off too much light pollution obstructing a view of the Stars. maybe use more ground lighting instead.

I’ve just returned from my second visit to La Paloma and I’m already planning my third. Their pools range from 96Β° all the way up to 110Β°. So there are lots of choices all dependent on your preference. The soaking rooms are small and very private so there’s no need for a bathing suit. They also have a massage table in them so you can cool off for a bit and then go back into the lovely tub. I love to watch my arms float in the crystal clear water. And look at all of the lovely rocks and gravel on the bottom. It’s also fun to peek out of the overflow hole. The staff are lovely. I have yet to meet anyone who wasn’t welcoming. I just really enjoy the serene, pleasant atmosphere. Somehow soaking really does take all your cares away and put you in a very calm state of mind. My room-number three-was perfect. Two queen size beds and decent kitchenette. We brought our own breakfast and lunch fixings which was great for snacking around soaks. Don’t make the mistake I did the first time and book for only one night. It’s not long enough. Two was lovely, next time maybe three.

I love this place. My partner and I make a habit of visiting one or twice a year. The fire pits and hammocks are the best. The staff is friendly and the rooms are great. The beds are comfortable. The outdoor spa is nice and rather small and doesn't feel as enchanting but very clean and quiet.

So I've stayed here before and they were great!!! However I was in town and went by to make a reservation for a March trip, and the gate was locked saying they aren't accepting visitors and the whole place was closed and covered in sheets of plastic. Very strange. I hope they aren't out of business
