I was planning on booking but first off I could not book on line then the women who answered the phone after multiple tries had a heavy accent which was hard to understand her and then she was incredibly rude . The women working the this motel was assuming things with out even knowing or asking me and frankly I was going to give her business and guests are why she has a job but this the first place I have decided not to book by speaking to a incredibly rude employee I would say by the other reviews I read and the treatment plus the fact they demand to have a copy of your vaccine records and a photo copy of your credit card and I D is unbelievable and frankly very concerning in a time when identy theft is so easy and very difficult to prosecute not sure why you cant book online which is much easier and less stressful I would say STAY AWAY from this place there are many other places with much nicer staff

We have now stayed at least one night in five different places in Hot Springs, New Mexico, better known (unfortunately) as T or C. Blackstone is the best so far. We will be back. The hot mineral water and large private tub in the room were perfect, and the room itself (Superman) was attractive, spacious, and comfortable. It was also very quiet, and the rear entrance to the local brew pub is only a block away to the north. Everything was well worth the trip and the price.

I called ahead and wanted a room, the one that answer told me all rooms were available except for two then refered me to the website, So the call was ended. I got on the site and found the room I wanted tapped to book room. I was then instructed to call to book rooms, I called several times times and got no answer left messages and no return call until I arrived at Blackstone. I waited outside the door for the individual to finish up on the phone. Only for him to tell me all rooms were booked. I was only 30 minutes from there on the initial call. All would have been avoided if he just took the time when I first got on the phone with him to tell me what he had available! The place is very nice unfortunately I will never give them my business ever! No matter if it is the last room available in T or C...

Having a themed hotel could be an invitation for over-the-top tackiness but you'll find none of that here. The Star Trek room was so well done - just a nod to Star Trek, nothing overdone. The bed is very comfortable, the tub is perfect for two. This room does get quite a bit of noise from the street and the auto parts store next door. We were there on a warm December weekend and sat at the table on the deck in a common space. We had masks on because there are signs that say "wear a mask". The manager greeted us from a distance and told us that we could remove our masks. She said the signs are for anyone wandering in but they know that guests are vaccinated. So we took our masks off and enjoyed the sun.

We stayed in the superman and it was a fantastic room! Loved everything about it and the hot spring tub was amazing! We will be back to check out the other rooms. The only downside was there was no extra toilet paper in the room and the 7am construction wake up call was very disappointing (not the hotels fault but just a few feet from our window and so loud!).

I stayed in the superman which was spacious and had a partially separate room with a couch that was comfy. The in room hot spring tub was amazing and the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was a nice bonus. The location is very easy to get in and out of and is set back from the main street a couple of blocks. Honestly, the only reason I am giving a three star review overall is because the bed was so hard and uncomfortable, that it made the stay not nearly as relaxing as it should have been. One of us slept on the couch for the second night.

Took a road trip with 3 high school friends to T or C. Reserved "as the world turns" room. It's a small vintage room with a large tub enough for 4 people to sit comfortably. Unfortunately, the water was not very hot when we filled up the tub, the room was very cold and the TV remote did not work. The bathroom does not come with a door to the bathroom but more like a partition which leaves it for little privacy. The owner was kind, she provided us with a blanket and fresh towels the following day. Our room also had small table in the back/ patio area and 2 chairs. It also comes with wifi, refrigerator, silverware, bottle opener, dish soap, paper towels, coffee and coffee pot. Our friends stayed in the "Wonder Woman" room. Their room was much warmer than ours, spacious, more modern looking but the tub was much smaller. The water was hot when we filled up the tub. Again, very little privacy, they had a sliding door to their bathroom. We also paid extra for 45 minutes in the Turquoise Tub at 7 pm. That tub was amazing! It was a cold night but the water was 107 degrees. Very relaxing and tranquil. Within walking distance of a brewery, grocery store and several restaurants. It has a beautiful garden in the main walkway. Recommend for couples, anyone wanting to relax, recharge or disconnect from big city hustle and bustle.

I called and spoke to a man on sunday sept 4th at apprx 1pm and was told the bath soaks are free to the public, that is all that was said. So I went in and then he comes into the bath soak area and kicks me out. So make sure you ASK for all the details before going in. Might want to work on your communication with customers that call regarding exactly your policies and how to reserve. Not just “bath soaks are free to public, ok ty bye.” Communication and quality is key. Don’t recommend coming here unless you speak to someone who has the time to explain everything to you. Get a new manager.

This appears to be an older motel in an old part of town that was renovated with theme rooms. Taking the location into consideration, I think the room was overpriced. Despite its age, the outside street was clean and free of litter- almost like a movie set. I could be wrong, but I saw some markings on a nearby sidewalk that looked like it was poured in 1939 by the WPA. We stayed in the Star Trek room. Loved the decor, the bed was large and comfortable, the room was very clean and the courtyard was beautiful, especially when lit up at night. The room had a nice kitchen area, with a larger sized refrigerator/freezer and a microwave. There was a modern-looking sliding barn door with opaque glass to separate the room from the bathroom. Overall, I thought they did a great job with the theme of the room. It was a short walk to a good Mexican restaurant and some local shopping. What I didn't care for was: 1) The fact the room was adjacent to a street that had some noisy traffic at night. Additionally, there is a car parts place that is right next door, with a driveway separating them from the motel and, each night, I heard the heavy rumbling of trucks idling outside that shook the room. 2) The shower was hard to get into for a senior, or anyone who lacks enough agility. You have to climb onto a step, then hoist your legs over a concrete wall onto another step inside the shower, then step down onto the shower floor. Fortunately, there was a grab bar on the right hand side, to which I clung for dear life. However, because of its height, I kept hitting my knee on the top of the wall as I would swing my right leg over it. I am a fairly tall woman at 5'9", and I can't see a shorter person managing this very easily. 3) Throughout the entire room, the floor was concrete and had a number of cracks. 4) We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and, when we asked for dinner recommendations, we were told that there were only 2 places to eat in town that were open at 5 PM. We ended up eating in the one in a bowling alley.

I really enjoy coming here normally the baths are great the rooms are beautiful. I drove 2 hours to have a 45 min bath and I was really disappointed today. There is a no music or cellphone rule and the people next to us were blasting music. I would appreciate next time if the people who work there checked on guests to make sure they have a great experience and people follow rules. I just wanted to relax in peace.

This place came highly recommended and I read the reviews and expected more. The beds are NOT COMFY NOR ARE THE PILLOWS. The room was hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. There are soaking tubs in most rooms but even those could be more comfortable such as adding spa pillows. We stayed in the Superman. For the price I expected more. Not to mention they want your while life story and their customer service could be improved. We will not be back.

We reserved Wonder Woman and had initial problems with television reception, so we called the office and they immediately came to see if they could fix the problem. Since they could not, they graciously offered us an upgrade to the Golden Girls room. Upon leaving, we gave a few suggestions which were immediately acted upon. I felt that not only was the place a wonderful place to get a true rest, but the administration is responsive and caring!

Simply awesome! Super friendly service and easy check in. the only thing I would like to see is some rooms that have more of a south west feel versus cartoons and superheroes. other than that the amenities are great!

Never having been to Truth or Consequences before, we weren't really sure what to expect. "As The World Turns" was exactly what the doctor ordered!! The room was very nice, the bed exceptionally comfortable, to the point that this light sleeper woke up hours later than normal, so refreshed! We loved the soaking tub in our room. It was the ultimate in relaxation. The patio was a great place to read and star gaze. We'll definitely be back when we are in your neck of the desert!!

Their reservation process is the worst that I have EVER experienced during all my years of travel. They HOUNDED me for copies of ID and credit card by insecure email. If my wife wasn’t set on staying here I would have cancelled. I hope the experience of staying is worth the incredibly annoying hassle of booking. They need to enter the modern era and take online reservations and stop this sus “email us your sensitive info” stuff from the 1990’s…

Been going for years and this is still my favorite hotel and soak in TorC. Facilities are kept clean between patrons and staff are personable and accommodating. The themed rooms are well appointed, most having a kitchen and oversized bathroom and soaking tub(s). You always wish you had one more day. Worth every penny if you’re in need of R,R&R-rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

This getaway was one of the best we have experienced in quite sometime. We appreciated all of the Covid safe requirements. We stayed in the Roy Rodgers room which was spacious enough for 2 people. We thoroughly enjoyed having our own private soak tub. The water was so therapeutic and we were so relaxed during our stay. There are several restaurants within close proximity. We will definitely be coming back!

We love TorC and have been coming for about a decade or so. We usually try to stay at Riverbend bc my wife’s been going there since she was a little girl, but we’ve stayed at Blackstone a couple times now and we must say it may be our new favorite. We stayed in the Lone Ranger room, and we LOVE having the private patio tub, and the hands off service from the staff was awesome. They have remodeled some or all of the rooms recently including this one and it was top notch. They also included a private soak in one of the main pools with our reservation, which was a great cherry on top. Blackstone is probably going to be our go-to moving forward on our future trips to TorC, thanks again for a great getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and it was amazing. By far one of the most enjoyable trips we have taken. The rooms are so aesthetic and very clean. The amenities offered are that of a high end hotel. We throughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next trip!

Everything was wonderful at Blackstone Hotsprings. The staff was very relaxed and the room was spotless with easy check in and out. The tub is much bigger in person then in the photo and easily fits 2. Had a great time, enjoyed the soaking very much. Thank you! Would defiantly recommend.

Our group of 5 booked The Wet Room for 2 hours and it was 100% worth the price. Now that i have tried other hot springs in T or C I can say with confidence this one is the best. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back! The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful.

This is the BEST hot springs in T&C. You must stay here if visiting overnight. The rooms are large and very creatively decorated. My wife and I enjoyed our relaxing night away without kids. The hot springs were the perfect temperature and the water was very clean. We will definitely be back!

A quiet, cozy, relaxing place to calm yourself and reset. This was my last stop of my road-trip out West and it was delightful. The room was clean, the bed was SO comfortable, the A/C worked great, the property was quiet, and the hot spring was a very therapeutic experience— can't wait to come back!

This place is a hidden gem! We loved our stay. The studio was big enough for me and the wife. The bed was just big enough so we slept comfortably. Definitely plan on coming back.

A delightful place for a mini getaway. The ability to have a hot spring soak anytime in your private tub is amazing! Staff was very responsive and friendly. The Blackstone is a great base for exploring the area.

Loved it. Spacious room and great in-room and outdoor hot springs. Nice coffee, great bed and clean room and property. Guests next door had a pet, so I am unclear what the pet policy is since it states no pets online. Perhaps it was a service dog. Enjoyed the outdoor seating in courtyard. In an intimate place like this, your experience can depend somewhat on the other guests. The couple next door seemed unaware of their speaking volume or didn't care. There are a number of reminders about courtesy between the website and check in. All staff members were very friendly. We would return.

Fun '50's themed rooms. Nice but not kitschy. Nice tub in-room but more roomy soaks around the motel. Wet room is special with massaging waterfalls and enclosed hot rain room. Well ventilated to cool off time to time. The tubs and facility is extremely clean, no moss or slime. Very quiet. We will come back.

Blackstone Hotsprings was so perfect I hesitate to tell you about it because I want it for my secret! The theme was fun and tastefully done, with excellent attention to detail of cleanliness, great linens, equipped kitchenette. And the bliss of the in room hot springs pool. Tip to newcomers - give the water a minute to warm up.

I had an amazing stay at Blackstone! The owners thought of every detail, the rooms are beautiful and sparkling clean. The bed and pillows in the Wonder Woman room were the best of my road-trip. The Blackstone is just down the street from restaurants, cafes, and a brewery, so its location is excellent. I did find their check-in requirements a bit odd, but still think that this is the place to stay and relax if you’re in Truth or Consequences!

  • 5/5 Brett C. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely a gem! Love the Wonder Woman room set up and the soaking tub in the room. I highly recommend Blackstone Hotsprings to anyone looking for an affordable relaxing stay. We were blown away at how welcoming the room was along with the entire facility. For once the room was far beyond what the pictures on the website looked like👍👍. I will definitely be coming back and staying longer on the next visit!

Our experience at Blackstone was so lovely. We stayed in the Golden Girls' room and it was adorable. The actual tub in our room could have easily fit 4 people or 2 people laying completely out. I was worried because my husband is 6' 3" but he fit with a lot of room to spare. I have been recommending this place to anyone who will listen. Check-in and out were super easy, the staff was extremely nice, and the facilities were just lovely. I hope we get to come back again soon!

Such a cute place to stay. Walking distance to main street. We really liked our room, the Twilight Zone, it's one of the rooms without a tub but it really wasn't missed. We booked some soaking time in the private outdoor tubs that was so quiet and relaxing. Would highly recommend staying here while in T or C.

  • 5/5 Katrina A. 1 year ago on Google
I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was quiet and cozy--the hot spring in the room was absolutely lovely. It's close to other spas and the downtown area. Highly recommend!

So, we have stayed here 3 times with no issues with credit/debit cards. Always recommend this place to family and friends because of the customer service and amazing rooms. However, this time we found out they don’t accept credit/debit cards! Our card does both and we got a rude response telling us it was clearly listed in their policy… yet it was not clearly stated when I called to make the reservation, and she accepted my card then. We stayed here last year without a problem. No wonder they had so many rooms available…

We did not stay at Blackstone, we used rented a hot tub for an hour. It was as nice or nicer than 10,000 Waves and more than half the price. My wife and I felt so rejuvenated after the soaking.

Blackstone was a terrific place to stay in T or C with a perfect location: near to Elephant Butte, across the street from restaurants/brewery, and off the main drag enough to be quiet. The in-suite hot spring bath was amazing; my fiancé really enjoyed that aspect as did I. The place was very clean and comfortable! Staying here was the highlight of our trip to the area for my friend's wedding and we're going to make a trip there just for ourselves. This place is completely worth making a special trip to NM.

  • 5/5 Julie S. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed having a large hot tub in the room. The room was smaller than expected but comfortable. The all in one, hot tub/bathroom/kitchen room really worked out well for us plus it opened up to the patio so we really used the room for sleeping. We paid for a private room and it was relaxing. Large spacious area for two and the fee was reasonable. They do offer private booking, I would recommend even if nit staying g there. Would definitely come back for a few days r&r.

Amazing place for relaxation and tranquility. Only drawbacks are you have to bring your own towels you only get 45 minutes and the prices really increased with the times. I used to wanna go here monthly but it's cost will make this a real treat less frequently.

Our first time here and we had an amazing time. NO sulphur odor at all. facility if very clean (inside and outside) and nicely decorated. their staff immediately greeted us upon arrival. great hospitality. If you are anywhere in NM, I would call and reserve this trip.

We stayed in the Jetson Suite and found it clean, warm, and well appointed. It was an instant oasis. Everything we could possibly need was available to us. Grazia and her staff were professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. I recommend one of the outdoor soaks, as well. There are convenient dining and entertainment options steps away. If you are looking for a quiet and calming atmosphere, look no further.

We enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere at this hotel. We stayed in the Golden Girls room. The in-room pool is quite large, but the pipe fills it fast. The WiFi signal is strong; we brought an Echo 3 and streamed “Alexa, play the meditation station” the whole time we were there. We also liked the private patio area. We used the very private outdoor Turquoise pool twice, and both times the water was crystal-clear and just the right temperature. I should also mention that we loved the pandemic measures that this hotel takes. EVERYONE was required to wear a mask while not in a private area of the property. We also had to show proof of vaccination before reserving a room. We saw almost no one while we were there, but the front desk answered calls promptly and took care of requests immediately. It was GREAT, we felt totally safe. Indeed, all the TorC stores, restaurants, and museums required masks. (Don’t miss the Geronimo museum; an easy walk from the hotel.) All-in-all, we’ll be back.
